If anyone can suggest the preferred way to get text (containing italics) from RoughDraft (MS rich text) into "Create Content", I would appreciated it; as my way seems to require multiple editing passes.

It's set in a dream of a Paris that may or may not exist, and it's a story about a girl growing up. What stroke me watching it was the interpretations made in the movie. Made me start to wonder what the world really is like. Maybe good and evil isn't as much the acts in them selves, not that some acts doesn't scream about egotism and inability of empathy, but in a greater perspective the way we choose to revile ourselves in them. Take a porn movie for example, then take those condemning those being in it, who turns the blinder eye?

"Honor " murder of post op TS in Iran

This is a sad story. A post op TS murdered by her brothers, in a country that trumpets they have no gays because they are required to have sex changes. Note the length of sentence handed out, and the attitude of the father. However, murder of TG and TS folks in the US and other "western" countries are often due, at their most basic, to some male thinking is reputation has been besmirched by him being attracted or having sex with a TS/TG. Not so different in motive, I think, but increasingly different in the way the crime is seen by law. Doesn't help the victim though....

The things I do in the name of fun... waking up at a ridiculously early hour on a weekend to travel half way across the country to spend a weekend with a bunch of random people I've met on the internet. On the one hand, I'm a little nervous and apprehensive (for a variety of fairly obvious reasons); on the other I'm excited about finally putting faces and voices to some of the people whose writing I read every day here on TopShelf.

Oh, and there's also the small matter of this being the third bunch of random internet strangers I've met - the first being regulars on this blog (and what could be stranger than fans of a blog of a radio news magazine show?!); the second being fans / participants of this project held last year.

I was thinking this morning, and wondering why the ret-con stories are so popular, and why so many of us seem to love comic books. Well, I cant speak for anyone else, but for me, i have realized i have something in common with most super heroes, and thats the fact that I too, have a secret identity. Just like most heroes have to hide their true selves, I also have to keep my true self a secret. The difference is where most heroes don't want or plan to integrate their 2 sides, I hope someday that I will be able to take off my mask, and show my real self to the world.

I am hoping you all are not getting the idea that I am going to keep posting these up early. I have yet another busy day planned out for tomorrow and I will not be able to post anything. Once the stress is over in a week from now, the posting schedule should be just fine. So don't think that this is going to continue...

Man, I am a soft touch sometimes...

Hello dwarf fans of the BC world!!

It's time to do some spelunking in some caves. We finally have the confrontation with Draknor. This is one of the longer chapters that I have written, so are the next two chapters. We get to find out why Ruald's and Draknor's plans didn't work over the next several chapters. This has been hinted at since the beginning in Chapter 1.

Have a great weekend everyone.

UPDATE ... Thank you for all your positive comments.

I went to my local hospital in Aberystwyth at 9.00 am this morning for a check-up, now need to arrange specialist appointment with Swansea Moriston for cystoscopy exam - ASAP.

The doctor thought it could be a Urethal Cyst or an abnormality of the lining of the Bladder, similar to Endometriosis.

PREVIOUS POST

I know this is a delicate subject, but has anyone experienced Urethal Bleeding post SRS where infection has been ruled out.

visions

I may have mentioned, I occasionally have odd little visions of the future. Like last sunday, at church, before anybody could say what type of service we were having, I knew it was going to be a healing service. This worries me on occasion, because I often don't know what they mean until the actual event. It's a little difficult, at times. ah, well.

Apologies to anyone waiting for the next installment of 'A Summer of Changes'. Unforseen circumstances have kept me away from my study and word processor. I hope to post the next chapter in about one week from now.

Regards

Louise
