I got some excellent advice on my hormone imbalance, but...

When the system was being a little flaky, a number of messages and such were lost, vanished into the ether. So when I went to review the advice and such that I got, I found a lot of nothing.

Needing to feel safe

I've been fully living as a woman a little over 9 years, but I know other girls here who have been at it for 15 or 20 or more years. Interestingly, if we aren't too self destructive, it is said that T girls live longer owing to the absence of Testosterone. I hope to see that played out in some of you.

Those who know me see me as this tough lady who is blunt but loving. A couple people that know me seem to want to take care of me and protect me, and I actually do enjoy and am thankful for someone caring about me.

FW: Come Sit With Me

My wife forwarded this to me as part of the 8 women she was supposed to forward it too. That says a lot about the level of acceptance she has regarding my feminine nature.

So, I send it to all of you in hopes that it will touch you the way it touched me.

Almost...there...

Whoo, what a slog this has been so far! Nevertheless, I'm only about 10 pages away from finishing Part 1 of the revamped "Oh, Cheers," or "Phoenix Soars!" as it will be called in its final Kindle release.

What started out as a 42k 3 part story is already at 33k so far, and diverging greatly from the source material. I'm literally at a point where, for parts 2 and 3, I'll be going through and making notes of a few key parts I want to keep, but for the most part both parts (as opposed to my initial plan for just part 3) will be almost entirely new material.

From the depths of time

Well, a surprise yesterday, with an e-mail at work sent to my male name from someone I used to work with many, many years ago (80s). In summary, "Hi, remember me? Living back in Abergwaun* now, someone from Dover says you are writing books now, how you doing? I was in a writing group, any tips?"
[My reply]

"Oh! Astonishing! But hey, no problem. Can we talk about writing? I think I'll buy your books"

TG film

I wrote some years ago of a film called "I Want What I Want", and referred to it in 'Sweat and Tears'. Robi was good enough to send me a link to the book, but the film was lost. It has now been reissued having been transferred from tape to DVD. A dated film, but very much a part of my youth.

Simoné and the Second Time Around

Erin and her magnificent crew have just reposted Simoné and the Second Time Around. If you enjoyed the story please give it Kudos, as they have been lost. If you haven't read it yet, please do and comment. It is my latest addition to the Cynthia Chronicles series of stories. I think it's a sweet tale.

Much to my surprise, I have begun a new story. A few will not like how some words are spelled. Get over it. For the rest of you, this is very off beat for me and I hope that you like it when I finish.

Actually I do not care if you give me Kudos or comment on it either.

Here's an interesting chart, prepared by a friend of mine. It takes some sophistication, perhaps, in reading scientific percentile graphs to understand since my engineer brother was baffled by it but it is interesting and relevant.

On Being a Writer, Listening to Others

Over the years I have had the opportunity to be the recipient of advice from a number of authors I admire, some of which I followed, some I ignored, much to my regret since it cost me a reputation I've yet to recoup. But I never closed my mind to what they had to say. Nor have I slavishly followed one set way of thinking or viewing the world.

Problems posting stories.

Hi. I seem to be having a wee problem posting my stories. I get as far as 'preview, but when I press save, the page crashes and I get a message 'Error number 502 Bad Gateway, This happens every time but when I go back to basics the main home page opens without a problem. I have obeyed Erin's instruction not to try to repost old stories like Mermaid 111 and 'No riches' after her scolding me but this was a new chapter. I don't know what's gone wrong cos' other people seem to be able to post stories.

Am I still on the naughty step?

A Terrible, Terrible Disease

In the last year we've lost Holly Hart to pancreatic cancer. Since her death I've lost a good friend, and the husband of my first cousin to the same scourge. This is such a horrible disease because by the time it's discovered, it is usually too late for the victim. Let's home they can find a solution and cure soon.

A different kind of success

As a former athlete (2x national champion as a hwt. wrestler and undefeated internationally in Greco-Roman) I am constantly watching numbers. Athletes love numbers. How quick did I get my first points, what was my average time of pin-fall, how many points did I get on average. That continued over to my writing career; how many sales, how many review, average review score.

How does my new posting read?

I have combined From Knight and Courtship and I think it combined well but I am wondering how other readers feel about it? Does it flow together well since they were written several years apart? Do they fit well together? If you read it please give me your criticism. I am thinking of publishing it on Amazon kindle and want to make sure that it is as perfect as I can get it. Any thoughts on it will be accepted as I am my own worst critic.

Selling fiction on Amazon.

I've read some blogs on Bigcloset lately about selling your book on Amazon and Kindle. My question, does it actually work? As in does it actually make money? I'm not talking about a payment of 100-200USD once in a blue moon, I'm asking if it's enough for someone to live in conditions that can be described as middle class in a city like, say, Boston for half a year.

What are the pros and cons or special considerations for selling in such a place?

He regrets it

I am watching Fox & Friends Weekends here at work, and they were doing a story about a high school that got rid of white graduation gowns for girls and blue for boys, and after a vote by the students went with maroon for everyone. While discussing this Clayton Morris one of the hosts brought up Facebook and their addition of all the variant genders and orientations they added. Something that at the time he said some disparaging things about.

Dollar Runaways - Next Post

Hi Everyone,

In case anyone is wondering where today's post of Dollar Runaways is... well it'll be posted tomorrow. I posted in one of the stories that I was dealing with some real life stuff, and today was basically one of the most major things to deal with. I'm okay, but an unexpected promotion and the fallout leading to that promotion have made life a little crazy! Not to mention just a little stressful! I got home late enough tonight that I'll have to format and post the next chapters tomorrow. Hopefully life will smooth out now for the foreseeable future!

I'll have the post up tomorrow evening, thanks!

Seriously Critiqued

I think I mentioned it here, but I know I definitely mentioned it on Facebook. After all the hubbub of the bad review, I received an email from a pastor in Teaneck New Jersey (oh the imagery that comes to mind) who wanted permission to mention my work The Transsexual and the Cross in a blog. I never have issues with that and thought it was nice that he asked. Well, I assumed it was going to be a paragraph or two. It's a few pages and pretty much is a detailed outline of my book. Here is what I posted on FB about it:

Not my best day today

I'm trying to keep a lid on the "drama queen" stuff, but I do need to let you guys know I'm struggling keeping tears in check today. I don't know if its the flu I'm fighting, or the fact I think I strained something in my stomach at work last night, or the fact that I forgot I was supposed to go over to a friend's for supper last night and am beating myself up over it, or if its my hormones or if it's my bipolar thing, or if its a combination of the above, but I'm not doing well right now.

All hugs, good wishes, and prayers are appreciated.

OEM and continuing problems

I just wrote a long comment to Katie Leone about why she was seeing so few comments and Kudos for OEM. I read six of the seven chapters today. I had to search for them as the list of chapters at the right of the screen was screwed up.

The same was true of the forward and back controls. Sometimes they were absent, sometimes they gave nonsensical options. Chapter 7, for instance listed chapter 4 for back and chapter 5 for forward.

Re-reading "Sweat and Tears"

Been re-reading "Sweat and Tears" by Steff the Cyclist, and despite some graphic descriptions, its one of the very best stories about male sexual abuse I have ever read. Fortunately, most of her stuff is much happier, but if you can hang on through the darkness, Sweat and Tears is a amazingly well written read.

A word of warning

Just to warn you all, my laptop is at it again. Slow running and constant crashes are making it hard to finish chapters of the stories I'm working on and the the story I was working on for the February contest. So Twice Removed may be delayed and worst case scenario I may drop out of site if it dies again. This hard drive was a used one and I never expected the fix to last this long with all the other hardware issues I was having.

So if I drop out of sight you all know why, but I will keep plugging away for as long as I can manage.

*hugs to you all*

I love having long hair

I love having long hair. I love the way it moves, the way it feels, and how feminine it makes me feel. Unlike many people, I never dared having long hair when I was trying to be a boy, so all of this is new to me. Maybe someday, the novelty will wear off, and I will be tired of pushing it out of my face, but until that happens, I am gonna luxuriate in my long hair, and be so grateful I took the chance on letting it grow.

Question concerning stories.

Due to the sites unfortunate crash along with several days of hard work performed by those creative people to resurrected and breath new life back into its unfortunate demise the question I have is how story posting is being affected.

Case in point is the number of stories that are being posted. This leads me to ask about those that are being pushed further down the pipe than they normally would be. There were several that I'm sure were reposted due to the time differences from A to B.

Does Katie Leone write good smut?

I don't know where my stories come from. I really don't. I just sit back and all of a sudden something will hit me. Usually I'm glad it's not a fist or a brick, but it's really passive. Now, I've been writing stories since I was 8 years old. I remember in the 4th grade I would be allowed to stand in front of class and read my creations and I thought that was a hoot. Back then I really wanted to do an alien abduction, but never did (Actually I did but I can't find it).

Thanks and a NEW BOOK.. A Tale of Two T's

Just to say a big thanks to those who voted for my story - Three men and a Christmas Spirit in the Christmas competition. I was so pleased to get fourth place, as the other sories were so good.

Thanks also to those who asked me if there was more... as the end seemed a bit abrupt.

The answer is, yes!

I have written another 11,000 words, and extended the book, giving it a new Title - A TALE Of TWO T'S

A question about writer's critique groups and TG stories....

(Note: Your ragtime gal made a few corrections, to correct some of the more egregiously horrible wording, the result of sleep deprivation and writing on a wonky computer in the wee hours--Rachel. )

With the extended downtime, I amassed quite a stockpile of questions for the BC readership at large, and question number one concerns a source of considerable dread for me, the writer's critique group. (I would have to promise that I'd post a story to the site.

I've always likened such groups to group therapy, and not in a positive way. Either way, I'm baring my inner self to relative strangers, leaving myself open to judgement and ridicule.

So, I'm Back In! (Again)

Thank you SO much, Erin et al, for doing whatever had to be done to get 'it' up and running again. I'm sure it was a LOT of work and I apologize that I dont know enough about computers to REALLY appreciate what you did. But, as a frequent reader, I thank you very much for looking Fter us peasants as well as you do.

My cat died

Several months ago I was posting stories about my cat Madeline. She was the one who got paralyzed at the back legs. She made a recovery, almost back to new (except that she wouldn't jump great distances any more and no longer went on the roof).

A month ago we found out she had scabies. No big deal. A little medicine and a bath in sulfer shampoo cleared that right up.

Name poll

Okay I've narrowed the choices down to what Xia as a character might choose as the names. I loved the cuter names like Pookie, Cuddles and Huggles, but Xia just isn't the type to name a pet those so I decided that when Amy get's a slip it will be named one of those three. Here's the names that I've narrowed it down to based on Xia's tastes and general knowledge.

Let's see what one comes out on top by midnight tonight and I'll use that one.
