Hold ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel
while hovering over the body of text you want to enlarge (more to make sure you're not in the wrong frame than anything else.)
That should work universally for most browsers.

You can also
click on view up in the top right hand corner and use zoom or text size.

Ctrl and +/-
You can also use Ctrl with the "+" to enlarge "-" to reduce.

Ctrl and 0 (zero)
And (at least with FireFox, probably others, too) you can use Ctrl with the zero to restore the original size.
Zoom
There are extensions for Firefox that will allow you to create plus and minus zoom buttons on the toolbar for quickly zooming to desired magnification.
I think you download the extension, and then use the toolbar menus to then add the buttons.
I have not done this recently, as I seldom use Firefox. (I mostly use Seamonkey instead, because I use the rudimentary HTML editor occasionally, and like its zoom to multiplier better )
<Cntrl> and Mouse scroll wheel
works for me.
