It's so wonderful! (a more upbeat alternative pov)

     
The other day I read a post that brought up a name that I knew but haven't heard in quite a while.

That name was Wanda Cunningham.

Wanda is probably one of the reasons why I am in this site today. If it wasn't for her and some others, I probably woudn't have explored sites like this, would have been done with the whole genre, and moved on to other things. But she introduced me to Big Closet, and her writing really has encouraged me to explore.

As I said, the name was mentioned, and it made me curious. So per the post, I went on Amazon and looked up her book, "Kelly Girl."

Kelly Girl is an institution. It's one of the few stories that people here consider a classic of TG fiction. Wanda writes with a quick wit, and her stories just beg you keep on scrolling through the screen, and make you forget that the alarm clock will be going off in about five hours and that you have to be up by then.

It's so wonderful to see it in Amazon! I never knew! I also saw what people said about such a fine piece of literature, and it had 6 reviews from people I know from BCTS!

I know there are those like myself who want to see the continuation of "Kelly Girl" and "The Fairy King," but, because Amazon's clientele is too mainstream and, let's admit it, our genre is one of the most specialized among specialty genres - mainstream readers are unlikely to know of Wanda Cunningham and her wonderful work.

So maybe we, from this community, should try and make her work more visible by posting more reviews on Amazon, and non-BCTS folks just might be encouraged to read Kelly Girl, and Wanda might be encouraged to write more. It doesn't matter if the people who post reviews will be people we already know from here in BCTS - the rest of Amazon's patrons won't know that lol!

So, if you haven't read the story, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot and read it, and post a review. It is quite wonderful!
