Recently spotted this will be on UK Channel 4 next week about transgender kids. Looks like it could be interesting. I don't know if if, or when, it might reach a wider audience.
One of the Facebook walls I often read posted something I thought people here might find interesting. If it has been mentioned before, I am sorry. It was about the logo off a company call Kids Exchange. It reads 'kidsexchange'. If you put it in your favourite search tool you will see for yourself. Just goes to show how important the spacing of words can be.
I'm fairly sure that when reading almost anything we can all find something that we don't like. One of the things I find annoying is the misuse of the apostrophe. I have come across an interesting (at least to me) site that I think authors might find useful. Although a UK site, it does apply to American usage of our language.
Considering the number of American shows, and films, we are exposed to over on this side of the pond I suppose it's only natural that many American terms have made their way into our language. Now it seems that some things may be going the other way.
There was an interesting/comical bit in the Doctor Who episode tonight. The Doctor is in an American town in the late 1800s wild west. At one point he asks to borrow a horse. The horse's owner agrees and goes on to say that the horse's name is Joshua. The Doctor says no it isn't; I speak horse, it's Susan and he wants you to respect his life choises.
Interesting story which should help transgendered students take exams. Never knew they had such a strict policy in place before this new change. Don't like the use of gay in the title though.
Something on one of the satellite channels, Mon. 29th Aug, that people in the U.K. may find interesting. Have not seen any previews so I don't know what it will be like but I have set my PVR.
Spotted this story about 12 year old Redvers Stokes who won his village's annual competion with a drag act character called 'Naughty Nora'. Personally, I think his parents have a good, healthy attitude to his act. All to often it is the negative responces that can cause problems for young males who enjoy dressing up.
Spotted this on YouTube. It's not fair, I can hardly sing in any voice but this Thai transexual has two nice voices. If only I knew what was being said after the performance.
Just spotted this news item on a media page here in the U.K. Apparently Johnny Depp would like to play Carol Channing. Don't know if this is old news to people out there but it's the first I have heard about it.
I recently came across this amazing guitarist that I thought I'd share with you all. The music starts a bit slow but when the guitar gets going it's fantastic. Just click the picture to full screen and watch his hands and fingers move over the instrument.
I realise that the enjoyment of music is a personal thing and it might not appeal to everyone but I really enjoyed this peice.
