Rage

Who Am I?

So, someone talked me out of Islam, then my nose ring, and my second piercing in my ear, and my Hijab, and I wanted a tattoo but can't and now I wonder what will be left when I am made suitable? Doesn't anyone want to know me, or do I have to be just like "them"? Is this too much to ask? Am I simply a slave to others, is this enough, will they whip me and chain me too?

Two from BB i think?

1:- Young Man, between high-school and College age?, goes on walkabout (for want of a better word).
can't remember if the young man is White American or Chinese\Japanese American, as he has studied under an eastern master most of his life so this could be the eastern connection.
He is a martial artist, can't remember if he'd had mystical background, but I think that his master suggested his walkabout.
Visits "Bikini Beach"

Can't remember if it was a single multipart incomplete story or a complete multipart story with an incomplete second story.

Okay, so I think I hallucinated yesterday.

For some reason I looked at my left hand palm side up, and I saw a bunch of fine scratches. Nothing new about finding scratches, I do that to myself all the time and don't remember when, but then, a couple of hours later I looked again . . .

No scratches. No signs there had ever been scratches there.

I don't quite know what to make of this, folks . . .

Well, I got some things done today, but at a cost.

I helped sweep out the grate, and went to try and get my meds. I got the one med, but the blister pack wont be ready until Friday. By the time I was coming home I was crying from knee pain.

Then I had to somehow get things under control so I could drive south and pick up Sam at work.

Ah, well.

"Just childish writing" ... OK. That's opinion. I can live with that.
"I know this author from Fictionmania...Never have you heard any one author toot their own horn about their work" ... OK. Probably not accurate, but I am not offended.

I have had a super frustrating day.

Sharon originally asked us to come down at 9 AM so Sam could give her boss a direct deposit slip - only to call us just before we left to come down at 11 30 instead, then she called at 1030 and asked if we were on the way yet - it only takes us 20 min to get there.

then we get to Sam's work, and since its a pizza place nobody was there yet so we had to go to the mall so they could kill time until the manager would be there.

So, I do apologize for my silence as of late, but I have a good reason for that. In my previous blog I mentioned that I was working directed (mandatory) overtime and, well, I have been working fifty hour work weeks for the last three weeks straight. No word on whether or not I will be working it again this week so I cannot say whether you'll be seeing another serial part this coming Saturday or Sunday. So, I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I do apologize and hope you have a deliciously devious night,

Looking for story

I hope someone can help me out. I am looking for a story I read quite some time ago. The main character is a teenage boy from somewhere in the eastern US who while visiting relatives in the midwest (maybe Ohio) somehow ends up becoming a weather girl on the local TV station. While taping a remote she ends up reporting on a major accident and the video ends up getting network distribution.

Pray I'm not making anyone disgusted. If one thinks I'm a bitch, I'm okay with that. Yes I made the VA twice this week, Tuesday and Thursday. Wore the same rust colored shirtwaist dress both times with an all weather tan overcoat as the weather was in the forties. The gentlemen at the information center were a whole lot of fun Tuesday as I lightly flirted with them while asking directions to different medical teams. They were both laughing and passing back the sass each time I passed by. Tuesday was donate blood to the VA Vampires and dermatology.

Emotional Mindfulness

I've been trying to monitor my emotional state in terms of my bipolar issues, and I think I have discovered something.

I had assumed that my cycle followed a simple pattern - a slow curve up during my manic phase, followed by a slow curve down during my depression phase.

Apparently, its a bit more complicated than that.

During my current manic phase, I've had a couple of what I'm going to call "quick drops" - times when my mood suddenly went way down.

What does your trans-ness mean to you?

For all of us, it seems to be something different. For some it's about freedom, from societal expectations or toxic masculinity. For some it's about expression. For others, it's something as simple as a fetish, or as complete as a feeling of cosmic wrongness needing made right.

For me, my trans-ness is about despair.

Last Thursday, after my home oxy unit died and was replaced, I began to have trouble getting my breath under control. I was gasping very fast and could not get a full breath. Tina, my wife suggested we call an ambulance and I had to agree with her.

The rescue squad arrived very quickly and carried me down a tricky set of stairs that would not accommodate a gurney bed. They whisked me into the ambulance and immediately put me on oxygen and inserted an I.V. and off we went to the hospital.

I failed (Passed?) the flu test, so it's not that. (Unlikely, since I've had this year's shot, but possible.) They also tested me for Covid-19, just in case. That result won't be in for a couple of days.

I spent uite a while off sick with some really nasty life-threatening stuff at the end of 2019, which has had a profound impact on my health, and that was of course followed by Covid0related lockdown. Normally, I would spend a lot of my time travelling all over the UK delivering awareness sessions and training regarding trans and intersex people, but that simply stopped dead.

The long road to 100 kudos

In November 2007 I posted a story here called THIS QUINTESSENCE OF DUST. It was my 4th or 5rh work of transgender fiction but it was the first one of any length, and the first I worked really hard on trying to create credible well-rounded characters that I hoped the reader could empathize with. And it was a challenge for me because I wanted them to be a pair of normal cisgender guys who were intelligent and more or less decent and not just buffoonish caricatures. In a way my creating them was my attempt to grow beyond my often misadrist attitudes toward males.

Lowell's Vacation Is Here!

Long ago, back in July, I started uploading a new story, Vacation, to bigclosetR.us. After lots of fine constructive criticism from the readers, I finished a 13,000-word novella for you.

I enjoyed working with the fine readers here at bigcloset.us and was determined to complete a novel based on the story. I dug myself in and created a 46,000-word story that we called Lowell's Vacation. (Our editor, Tom Peashey, suggested that Vacation was too overused as a title)

I can happily say that it's now for sale on Amazon for your reading pleasure. Thanks, Leslie

TERF's comments on Youtube John Lewis advert

There is a new John Lewis Insurance commercial.

It shows a boy dressed as a girl dancing to Edge of 17 causing destruction around the house. Stupid advert , as I'll get a child to smash my 2 year old TV and get a new one if I know they'll pay out for wanton destruction. it's a remake of a five year old advert where a girl does the same, albeit with less destruction.

One the comments got 754 thumbs up's in 3 days.

"Male ‘expresses himself’ with zero regard for the negative impact on the females around him. The patriarchy in action. Clever work John Lewis"

Just not a good time

This is apparently just a bad week. Last night, the hard drive with my nearly finished next book along with a few other works in process went belly up. At first I thought the computer itself was toast. It would never come out of POST. This morning, I just left it on and eventually it did come up. Without that one drive. I'm hoping the physical disc is undamaged and it's just the circuitry that has failed. I'll have to look at data recovery options.

A hard drive may sound like a silly thing to cry about, but there's a lot of work on that disc.

My step mother died on Tuesday after several months of failing health. My step father died suddenly the next day. I will be missing one funeral. I am flying to the U.S. for the other funeral. Just preparing for an airplane trip would be enough to make me highly stressed. (It's not the flying, it's all of the preparations.) I won't be on a computer much until I am home on the 27th.

Dykish haircut, combed like a boy, with 50s hair cream, parted down one side. The eyes were lovely but not overdone. Makeup was understated.

just one more thing to think about, I guess.
