I've been informed that I have aortic stenosis but no one is sure how long I have had it. This does explain the feelings of being tired and having little strength to do anything strenuous (or simply walking for more than a few minutes)
I don't know really why I'm posting this here. Maybe just to get it out of my head. For now, I have to we if i can get an appointment with a cardiologist.

I had similar, a failing mitral valve (both are in left chamber of heart).
Similar symptoms. By the time mine was diagnosed, I was having trouble speaking more than three words without taking another breath. (Also had two other heart problems, sigh.)
In my case the surgery was scary, but quite successful.
I'm pretty much living my life as my as I want. And very little trouble with running out of breath - I can do way more than three words between breaths :O :)

Stenosis is a narrowing
The aorta being the main artery of the body, a narrowing there is going to have an effect on pretty well everything. I hope they can offer you some treatment in the very near future and that it leads to a full recovery. As we none of us know what's around the corner, enjoy life while you can.
