Anachronism

It's 4:00 A.M.

I just noticed that I have had no interaction with anyone listed under the column on the left called Who's Online.

In stark contrast, many of those listed on the right hand side under In Memoriam were people I had had a great deal of interaction with in comments or messages. I had edited stories for a number of them.

A word of thanks and New Book published - Available on Kindle or paperback - More Than a Number

Firstly, I would like to say that if it hadn't been for this site and Sapphire's Place, Beverley's Balcony and Maddy... I wouldn't have ever gone down this road. So, I'd like to thank ERIN and all of you who have encouraged me and helped (by buying my work) and even offering me advice and I would add - some critical advice, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing.

With 'mail in ballots' going on I had an idea...an evil one!

Crazy idea here....read no farther if you scare easy!

Some how in the world I and a few others write in or about, we have elves, fairy, drow, pixies, nymphs, mermaids and tons of other Fae creatures!

The Hekawi Universe by Shadowsblade and Nuuan

Well with this election, an evil idea stuck me!

To start the US federal government being one of those organizations that sometimes does a bad job and other times it goes far, far, far and above the most basic description of the job needing to be done.

Adrenaline Jackey: Quick Announcement

Hey everyone, I thought I would do a quick announcement. Now I've hit page 8 of adrenaline jackey, I don't have much in the way of ideas for the future and yesterday wiped me the fuck out. So I'm gonna need some time before I figure out what I want to do with the story.

Don't worry, it won't end, I just need a little bit of time, maybe a week or two, to get my sense back in order along with writing my book and maybe starting something new :3

Thank you for reading, please have a happy happy day!!!!!

TG Techie - Blog - 88 - Playlists.

It's taken a couple of days, but I've combed through TG Techie and found every reference to a song or band. There is one exception, a reference to Guns 'n Roses, a band I have never sought out nor listened to. Nor could any argument be made to sway me.

But good news! I think there will be a little something in there for almost everyone to hate.

Why Wendy is not reading as much.

I am having trouble keeping up with all the stories here, but for a good reason. With the stimulus checks we got from Covid 19, I have been modifying my house so I had now have full access to my house. Fact is has I am too busy to do everything I want to do. Last time I went through this I was very depressed, this is the opposite. So if you don't hear as much from me as you used to, it is for the best of reasons. I have typed this using Dragon speaking which I just got yesterday. I am trying to learn new things all the time. It keeps life interesting.

I was re-reading one of my old stories, and couldn't help but giggle at this exchange in the comments:

"I had a special death planned for you but decided to be merciful to my readers, I'll kill you next time, promise."

"Aww, you're a good friend. *hug*"

I need a fill-in story reviewer / possible collaborator

I have a long story in work that Dawn Jehs was reviewing / collaborating with me on. As a previous post noted, I haven't heard from her for many months, and the lack of someone from whom I can get feedback has really affected my writing. While I don't want to replace Dawn's role, I do need to get someone to assist with this. The role is reviewing chapters or sections as they get written, reviewing / assisting with the story outline, offering suggestions, and generally helping keep me on track.

Cannibals (And I'm NOT Talking Politics)

Nora Ephron said “Writers are cannibals. They really are. They are predators, and if you are friends with them, and if you say anything funny at dinner, or if anything good happens to you, you are in big trouble.”

In a sense, we do devour everything we see and regurgitate it, as needed.

I’m more curious about a different kind of cannibalizing. In marketing, be use that term when introducing a new product or service.

Will the new product help us gain market share. . .or will it simply cut into our current sales?

Thankful for your love.

I've been at BCTS for a long time and many of you have expressed kindness to me in that time. I'm so thankful to you all. I just wanted to make sure I had a chance to express that sentiment in case things went really sour.

I live in Portland, Oregon, right next to the ICE center. The demonstration tonight included yelling, explosions and tear gas that got in my 4th floor apartment through an open window. There was no warning. The demonstrators were attacking without warning. I almost went to the hospital but some medication stabilized me.

Peace to you all.

I have something important to share.

To every one of you who have questioned yourselves, who haven't been able to make that big step...I know where you are...I've been there and I KNOW how difficult it is!

These words, from a TV show of all things, helped me...encouraged me...spoke to my struggle and the courage they spoke about. It became my private, personal theme.

I share them with you now. They may be familiar to anyone who is a Science Fiction fan.

Rod Stewart's words.

It took me 2 or 3 shows before I realized the high camp reality of what I was watching. Ben Sander plays Brini perfectly!

Out of Body Experience

There are many stories on BCTS about out of body experience written into the story line. Mostly just a paragraph or such, certainly not the theme of the story.Research into OBE has been conducted by almost every military and government in the world. Lots of names they list it as. Remote viewing is one as they try and get spies who can't be captured or seen into looking at another gov or military secrets.

Happy Sunday!

I have started another novel ("The Loft") and will post chapters as I get them written. I only have a couple of chapters written, so this one is a work in progress and my writing time is very limited right now--but I felt like I needed to get something in the works to get over my "Broken!" hump. LOL

So, these may not be exactly weekly, but I will keep them as close to that as possible.

I hope you like the story!

Dialog challenge

Okay so last night this bit of dialog came into my head:

Young man, looking in a mirror while wearing girl's clothes for the first time: "Is it weird that I'm super attracted to myself?"

Female friend:"You're not the only one. If I'd known how hot you'd look, I would have tried to talk you into skirts a long time ago"

And since I dont have a story to go with this dialog, I'm offering it up as a challenge to anyone who wants to make a story around it,

Unusual Breakfast?

So early this morning, after firing up my smoker, rubbing down the beef brisket with one of my simpler home made rubs (Brown sugar, Paprika, Himalayan pink salt & chili powder) and tossing that in the smoker, I found myself getting hungry for breakfast.

Finding a small covered plate with the remains of a can of spam in the fridge I decided that would work for the meat part of breakfast. Rubbing the slices down with the BBQ rub I had made earlier I sat a pan out to heat up on the stove.

Well, the truth is that the 'other names' don't sell nearly as well as Tanya Allan, so I am now going to bring all my work under this one - TG or not.

This one is the first of many that I was going to publish under another name - it is a romantic thriller and is as straight as they come.

For those of you following Apocalypse Dawn, I have added a considerable amount from my story notes and background info to the appendix over the last few days to make things a bit easier to keep track of. I've added a character list of sorts, as well as some information on monsters and other creatures that have been mentioned at some point in the story and maybe even things that haven't been yet. Friendly Persuasion

One of my favorite movies is the 1950s classic Friendly Persuasion – starring Gary Cooper. The entire movie is based on people trying to motivate the Quakers to take part in war. The movie dissects the ethical considerations for various members of one large family. (It also has a great theme song - Thee My Love by Pat Boone.)

We have recently discussed forced fem stories.

What we lost..

Recently, okay well maybe more like past few years, I have been studying history...of sorts.

I should explain a little. Having a background knowledge of how things are built, or more to the point, being able to take anything I see apart in my mind to its simplest form, allows me to see beauty in things others ignore.

I can work with wood or metal, fix most mechanical things, fix electronics, plumbing, household electrical, cement work, plaster etc etc. None of that is a challenge to me.

Isn't insomnia fun?

One of the great things about insomnia is the time you have to think about stuff. I think about consequences a lot. For example, when I finally get enough sleep, and I feel guilty about staying in bed because it's now afternoon, I get up and reach for the light chain from my ceiling fan, and my body says, "Nope. You do that, I'm gonna dump you on the floor."

We have all heard and read the same advice, "don't quit your hormones if you have been on them awhile". Well guess what? No really make a guess. That one didn't count, too easy, try again. Yes I dropped my hormones nine days ago. I returned from the doctors office a few hours ago. Katie told me to get back on the hormones, contact my transition doctors, Diana or Marlene and remember what I had been told about quitting hormones. If one has been on them for awhile don't just quit cold turkey.

shook from a nightmare

so last night I had the closest thing to a nightmare I've had in a while.

I was at a hospital, taking a class, and as I was making my way to the exit, one of my tormenters from high school jumped on my back as I was going up a flight of stairs.

I somehow managed to not fall down the stairs, bit I lay there, seemingly unable to fight, screaming at the guy to get off me.

I'll be okay, just a bit shook up.

Dream heels

Well there's a new thing. Last night my dream self forgot stuff on a trip to some school or recreation building, and mysteriously acquired a pair of kitten heels in a shade of light turquoise. It seems I had to use them rather than go barefoot, and nobody batted an eye (or ear) as they clicked in the corridors.
Later though, I found it necessary to walk home, and though my feet didn't complain, the shoes were starting to look a little used when I took them off which was a shame!
Been searching the web this was the nearest (do not walk home in these!)

Oh Dear -- Forced Fem

Over the last two decades, I’ve written many dozens of TG stories.

Some are light and fluffy.

Some are dark and dreary.

My stories have gathered over twelve thousand kudos and about two thousand comments -- whatever that means.

All in all, I think I have a broad understanding of those BC readers who are kind enough to comment or post a kudos.

In general, I think that represents about three to five percent of those who read stories here.

Okay so today Sharon needed me to take her to the Brick so she could get a new mattress, and because I was kinda gimpy, I fell behind entering the store.

So when I did come in, an employee asked me what I was looking for, and I told him my ex was looking for a mattress.

So a while later, while I was gimping around the store, the same employee asked me if I had "found my husband".

I nodded, but I couldn't help thinking "So, that happened".

I dont know, but I was kinda flattered.

I've been personally raked over the coals by the company and SEEN the manipulative way their parent company gaslights them. I'm very upset and feeling like I'm going to have a Panic Attack. AND, there is an admonishment to comment on the work and so far I can find no way to do it. I paid for the Book and think that it will be best to walk away from it. I can be a lot more specific but then Erin will be very upset. Dropping the Mike now.

Jack L. Chalker, BC writer?

If you are a fan of transformation fiction, or just good science fiction, you've probably have at least heard of Jack L. Chalker. Well, I found a book by him that could have easily been written here.

It's called "The Identity Matrix", and its the story of Victor Gosner, a 35 year-old expert in political science who finds himself body swapped with a 13 year old native American girl, and then into the body of a blonde bombshell co-ed.

I found the characters charming, the situation engaging, and the book really hard to put down, so it gets a recommendation from me.

To Her, All My Blessings, and Love!

Today, I suited up, using all I could to keep me warm, concealed and safe and rode my bike about 5 miles to the Hardware Store, and while I was rooting about in there, trying to find a certain soap, I came face to face with another T woman. OR she could have been Intersex, or any number of other things also. She had the hips, and was very slim. T folk are sometimes very critical of each other. I didn't say anything because that would mean I had clocked her. At that point felt all the love and support for her that another human being could feel for another.

Blessings to you all.
