I always open and read your stories, though I seldom comment.
So often your stories are a glimpse into a bright world, it's refreshing. :)

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.
Mr. Nasty doesn't know shit
Either that or he's just plain lying...
"He was a murderer from the beginning,
refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies."
A guy named John said that about someone else, but I'm sure those 2 Nasties are related.
Your stories (+ your story) are an inspiration, and have impacted me greatly.
When you're blogging from a place of fear and doubt I see it as what it is.
Mr. Nasty is holding court and beating you down with his lies.
I rarely have much to say that would be of use when that
happens. Any platitudes I can dredge up seem to
ring hollow in my ears; And I hate that.
But when your inner light shines thru (to use a Quaker image)
your words and your spirit help me find my own strength,
faith + convictions. Both you and my dear sister
Andrea help me see things in a less cynical
and pessimistic perspective.
We're all a work in progress here; but I think
I see a light down at the end of the tunnel.
And though it prolly ain't gonna be easy
we might just actually get there.
Let's hope.

I often go to the "My Stories" link and look at the comments on some of my older stories when I need to assure myself that I really do have a modicum of writing talent that other might appreciate. I rarely look at my new work because it's fresh and if by chance it wasn't well received it would be like rubbing salt in an open wound. But the stories that I can view with a perspective that allows me to accept that someone might not like it are safe.
I just skimmed through about a dozen of your stories comments and I only found one that wasn't full of complimentary words and that one only had one comment that simply outlined some constructive criticism. Even then it was derogatory, is simply stated the story as written was bland and could use some punching up.
I invite you to look over your story comments. I think you'll find the boost you're looking for.
But above all remember that first and foremost, a writer writes because they have to get the story out. Having someone read and enjoy the story is icing on the cake.
Hugs

You Dot, are one of the cause for Sunshine to exist
There are too many stories and poems to count which have touched my soul. Your optimism and selflessness, yes they have an impact on all around you. Without having gotten to know you, I wouldn't be who I am now.

I have said before
That I believe that if the dead kid were published In a mainline magazine it would be a major contender for the Shirley Jackson award. Even if you had written nothing else of value, which you have, that story alone would justify your writing.
Nice Stories
Your stories are nice. Occasionally you have a nice twisted twist.
You always comment nicely on my stories. I hope that your occasional laugh brightens your day.
I managed to persuade someone to take the plunge and post a story. You commented nicely on his story.

Sniffles ...
Just about all of your stories will give me "happy sniffles", and sometimes sad ones. Two that come to mind are your M.Y.T.H. series, and "Heaven's Waiting Room", where a (P)reserved Baby Soul is looking down at her future Mommy.
I'm pretty sure I've read most of your stuff here .
I try to "stalk" you on your Church presentations (well really, I just follow the links you give).
I may not always 'see' you on farce-book (their 'notifications' page has at best, a grade-school programmer's level of organization...), But I'm happy when I do see you on fb.
I mentioned before, there are so many things I'm grateful for - including writers like you - on BCTS, and elsewhere, that I'm always sending out 'undeliverable hugs' (J. S. Bach keeps coming back 'no forwarding address'...).
So grab all the "floating hugs" that you need 'out of the ether' . Forge them into a sword and armor, and turn mr nasty (he doesn't get capitals) into bad hyena chow.
Pffff
Mr Nasty.. What does he know. All he does is complain and bitch. He isn"t the creative amazing story Teller. YOU are! Here comes a whole bunch of virtual hugs thats just for Dorothy. Mr Nasty hadnt earned Any... So there!

You're not just a great story teller, you're a great person as well and you and your stories have both touched so many lives, including mine, in the best way possible. Never forget that. mr. nasty doesn't know what he's talking about.
*big hugs*

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3
I don't always comment. I
I don't always comment. I really should, because I love your comments. Don't think your writing doesn't affect anyone, however. It always does.
Hugs!

I hope
I hope all the comments and votes have helped your spirit. Old Mr. Nasty can be a hard one to shake. Especially if, as your blog posts seem to indicate, things have been a bit wonkier than desired for you.
I'm always looking forward to your next story posting. But, as always, take care of your and yours first. We can wait. Hugs.
Peace.

Do we have to chain your ankle to your chair...
and force you to write?, because we will. We need more Insane Dot stories, especially in times like these.

right now my muse is playing with the squirrels, so it's not gonna be easy

Just don't make it too nutty.

Will they require an acornectomy?

acornectomy
Any hunter will know that some squirrels apparently have no testicles. As a beginning hunter I was told that this was a result of older males catching and castrating them. The truth is that their testicles have not descended yet ,especially early in the season. Immediately after posting that line I began thinking about an anthropomorphic story about a young TG squirrel who has heard the story and keeps trying to catch the attention of the older males. It hasn't come together yet and I don't know if it will.
I hope and pray you've been
I hope and pray you've been able to put Mr. Nasty in his place.
