Elsbeth, one of my favorite authors on BCTS, abruptly disappeared 4 years ago today. I made a memorial post a year later. (See the last link below.) Here is what I posted. You will need to go to the original link to see the comments.
We miss you Elsbeth. I still read your stories several times a year.
----------------------------------------
I've met, well read the stories of and messaged with, many wonderful authors here at BCTS. One of them in particular had a large impact on me. Her name is Elsbeth.
Looking for one or more stories (by different authors) where an officially male high school aged student drag races while presenting as a woman.
In the specific one I'm thinking of the driver has built a car suitable for drag racing. They happen to be driving one home late one night, zip past a drag race without realizing a race is going on and accidentally setting a new record. I think their dead mother used to do drag racing. And I think it is around 10 chapters long. I think the story may be published by BCTS on Amazon and has a pinkish and black cover.
I'm looking for a story that I probably read on this site.
Mankind has just started to get time travel reliably working. A university professors team goes back to France then England to do some research on an English war, maybe around the 17th or 18th century. One of the university techs pulls a stupid prank and has the professor, who will pose as the wife, materialize with HUGE breasts.
I'm looking for a story that was published on BCTS. It consists of about 3 or 4 volumes worth of story. In the first volume mankind has spaceships. The main character is a young man who is something like a janitor or maintenance person. The ship is attacked by monsters that turn crewmen into more monsters. But something different happens with this young man and he winds up turning into a young woman with powers to fight back. Many of the battles occur on the microscopic level as the populations of "good" creatures fight the populations of "bad" creatures.
I just discovered that Erin Halfelvin is a guest artist in one of my favorite web comics I Dream of a Jeanie Bottle. For those of you that haven't read Erin's comic or the Jeanie Bottle comic I recommend checking out both.
"Gaby with her singing career" - Maddy Bell, 2022/01/23 "The Sound of Music" blog entry
My finances have sucked for years. Some years ago I finally decided I've got to stop buying Gaby books as they come out. And eventually I succeeded. And then the next book out was "Gaby Ontario". And I agonized and I fretted. And eventually I said "OK. I live in Ontario. I can buy just one more." And I bought it.
My step mother died on Tuesday after several months of failing health. My step father died suddenly the next day. I will be missing one funeral. I am flying to the U.S. for the other funeral. Just preparing for an airplane trip would be enough to make me highly stressed. (It's not the flying, it's all of the preparations.) On top of this, the natural gas pipe going into my home needs to be fixed quickly as the furnace is normally needed by late October and I will be gone for a week.
I won't be on a computer much until I am home on the 27th.
Hi hi. I'm looking for two stories that would like to read again. I believe both of them are posted on BCTS.
For the first story a kid transitions and goes to a new high school as a girl. She gets involved with the band and/or media department. She creates some songs which she submits to be played on the school radio. Her father is a music producer who has a studio underneath the garage. Eventually many of her friends wind up being invited to the studio where they make and record music. Some of her songs make it onto radio stations.

One of my favorite ways to pass the time this year is to listen to YouTube content creators reading stories posted on Reddit. My friends here will probably find this 90 second story particularly funny and more than a tad relevant.
I read it a few months ago. I can't remember the title.
A (new in this school?) boy joins the co-ed cheer squad. On the first cheer day the boys uniforms have not arrived yet so the boys are excused from wearing the uniform to school. He shows up without a uniform and the coach and squad are mad at him for reasons they won't explain. Then he shows up for the game and is denied entry. During the discipline process the coach finds out he is a boy and that is why he didn't come to school in the girl's uniform she had ordered for him.
Like many of us here I check frequently to see what's been posted recently. There are so many stories that I absolutely adore, but some of them I love so much and I remember so clearly that I am hoping to see a new chapter being published as I wait for the BCTS home page to appear.
Here are some of the series that I have eagerly looked forward to in recent months. Please let me know in the comments which recent series are your favorites.
