I sadly have to say that there won't be a part 18 of "The Lokian Way" this weekend.
Although I nearly have reached my usual word count I will not upload what I have.

The reason is that this update will be one choke full of details about the past and the magic in Mercy's world.
I already wrote nearly all of Mercy's school trip to the wax museum of famous magicians.
However, the plan was it to pair up with Mercy's next trickster group meeting.
Sadly none of it I wrote yet.

I have to sincerely apologize to my readers for the original version of my concluding chapter of Barbie's Doll (Part 12). :-)

I took Barb's comment to heart--I didn't take it as her criticizing me, in the least. But, she was right--I did rush it, much too much. I am not going into the reasons, but just know that I had them.

I had been on spironolactone at 300 Mg per day. Unfortunately, my kidneys objected to that high a dose. I spent three week sans meds and tried again. Even at the low dosage of 50 mg my kidneys showed signs of reacting. The doctor changed me to finasteride at 5 mg per day.

Chapter 75 of Footprints in the Sea has been posted.

Yet another discovery has been made. Could it be one of the Earth orbiting satellites that are being dumped in this part of the South Pacific?

And, another of my non-TG novels, Children of Albion II will be added next week.

Later my first collection of Novellas and short stories on TG subjects will appear but I'll let you know nearer to the date.

Massive stress around here with my mom hurt, my dog struggling, Sharon having troubles, my brother looking at surgery, and he and I getting into an argument over my transition during which he said he never saw anything feminine in me growing up, and doesnt see anything feminine in me now, has all led to me not being in a good state for writing at the moment. So no new Branded, or The gift, or the war/supernatural story I had started on for now, and maybe not for a while.

Apologies, for my absence over the last three weeks. December was a difficult and frankly odd month for me at least where the real world is concerned. I’m back and thankfully, most of the drama that was keeping me away has now died down. I’ll resume posting next week, but until then please accept my deepest apologies.

On a normal night I write between 1500 and 2500 words. But not last night. Last night, like the night before it, and the night before it, I only wrote 1,000 words.

And I know exactly why. It's because I'm an idiot and I can't stop getting in my own way.

See at this time, I'm twenty chapters ahead in TG Techie. I'm putting down that word count so that I can stay ahead. It means that I can stop the project to work on 11th Sun and still post this thing for like, three months. I need that space. Trying to grow a brand here, ya' know?

Well, 2018 is officially upon us here on the West coast of the USA. So I wish all here on BCTS a happy new year.

Much of 2017 has felt as if we’d been sucked up into a tornado like Dorothy. In my 66 years of experience, this has been the world wackiest year ever. Trump is a fiasco, but despite his goofiness I still feel he’s a better choice than Hillary. I really wanted Bernie but a certain primadonna cheated him out of a fair primary. I hope the true Christians, those that believe in love not condemnation, rally to shut up those far right wing blasphemers. I hope the love Jesus has for everyone, especially those on the fringes of society, dominates the new year.

System says Andrea Lena is on my ignore list. She isn't. I checked. She's probably the last person I would consider putting on my ignore list. I hope her files don't say the same thing.

Did I go to the store to find that issue? Of course not. It's from several months ago, it's 3:30 AM here, and I'm at work.

Safety is very very important in tech. You can screw around with the design, you can jury rig what you want, as long as it's safe. The fire in the Iroqouis killed over 600 people, you don't play with that.

The muse seems to have taken hold on the new Sara story more than FatIT, I'm afraid, so I wouldn't expect part 6 this year. But it is coming, probably in January.

Well, my wife has always said she wished she lived somewhere where it snowed. And I've always been fond of a white Christmas. Well we move to a small town in the foot hills of the Oregon Coast range. So here it is, Christmas Eve and we have snow on the ground.

At first, I was very put off by this story because it aroused every single cell of sanctimonious indignation in my body since it was pure unrelenting sex. Yet, somehow I kept coming back to it like a moth to the flame.

here a quick update:
Silly me forgot that this Sunday and the Sunday after it will be right around the holidays.
As I come from Germany celebration takes place on the Christmas Eve and the 25th and 26th are more for visiting friends and family.
Therefore the next part of "The Lokian Way" will (probably) arrive on Wednesday the 27th.
Since Silvester night and new years are on Sunday and Monday part 17 will be out (probably) on the 2nd of January.

Hikaro and I are getting ready for the next TG Mixed Tape anthology. The deadline for submissions to the next Tape is March 31; there is no particular theme except TG content (if only implicit).

While for me it will be Christmas, but I know we're a diverse community and I respect that.

I have been daring to write and post stories here since 2012, I think. I feel indebted to sisters and brothers that dared to write before me. During the years I've learned a bit, though not near perfect. I appreciate the constructive critiquing, encouragement and readers.

These four films follow five Latina girls through the planning and staging of their drastically different, highly unique quinceañeras. Of the L.A.-based subjects, there's Lopez, along with Zoey Luna, a trans girl celebrating her quinceañera with several trans madrinas (or godmothers) who were never able to have celebrations of their own. (4 different documentaries, appears ONE deals with gender identity)

I know. I've been away too long.

So long, in fact, that the vast majority of people probably don't remember I was ever here. Regardless, it seemed about the right time to make my presence known.

Chapter 73 of Vol 4 is now on Top Shelf. I will try to post another after boxing day and I am also posting the second volume of Lake of the Guardian, one of my non TG novels but that will be on Amazon not TC though I understand that BC does earn a commission if it's ordered through the link on this page.

Thank you for all the support you have shown me and the help and comments I have received in the past, it is read and noted, in fact it's very important to me. Just knowing that my work is read and appreciated is my best Christmas present.

So here we are, at the middle, well almost the middle, of December and once again I'm appealing to all of you to open your hearts and wallets (purses) to help pay some of the bills that Top Shelf generates.

I've been taken to task for my admittedly flowery language when pleading for monetary assistance to help keep the site somewhat solvent and I won't apologize for the language I use, nor for the endless appeals. The way I write is the way I write.

To answer a few queries, yes I am alive and back at the keyboard after a long summer & autumn schedule. One of my recent tasks was to start a new Tammy story and I really needed this going before Christmas so that is now in production and the first chapter is looking finished. One lucky person has already seen the first draft of the text but there's been a title change and some heavy editing since that text was seen.

My musing about what to do now that the last parts of "The Lokian Way" are near.

My muse has me writing a story that is turning into a novel-length epic. Workplace situation, contract, etc.
What I'd like is for someone who has some familiarity with the US legal system to review the setup to make sure I'm not making any dumb mistakes. I'm trying to quite thoroughly box in the main character, but if it's too far-fetched, I'll need to modify it.

Some years ago, I cycled through a remote part of Western Australia, meeting a lovely man, an ecologist called Gary. I put him into my book 'Cold Feet'. Tonight, by chance, I saw him again, in a wilderness programme on ITV. Enjoy, if you can see it. It really captures the land I wrote through, and Ray Mears, unlike the pillock and egomaniac Bear Ghrylls, comes across as a lovely man.

The Title is in Russian Cyrillic, with Chinese and bad English subtitles, so I can't interpret. I hope that there are enough Sci Fi fanatics out there that will have the persistence to work at understanding this movie. Human first contact with aliens will go something like this, I hope, but better perhaps?

It's vicious, I love the features but the prologue is brutal and I mean "toss you in the deep end of the pool". I was NOT expecting to have a couple of my characters straight up die during combat at the beginning in your average battle. They revive with full health after each battle but OUCH.
