UPDATE: And That's That

UPDATE #2: The city wouldn't go for it. They wouldn't go for any of the suggestions in the comments either. Thanks for the help. It was worth a shot. They suggested we get a lawyer. As of right now, I still have 30 days to vacate the house.

UPDATE: My brother explained the situation to his boss---a man he's known for years---and the boss wants us to bring him a list of how much money is owed. He's agreed to pay it off if we agree to take action to get the home put in our names.

Story and Author suggestions please!

Author:

Hello everyone!

I recently came across this site a few days ago and just created an account!

The community seems lovely, and I'd really appreciate some suggestions on particular authors or stories to read!

Personally, I like sentimental stories and slow transition/gender realization stories, but I'm pretty flexible and I'd love to hear peoples' thoughts on the best authors and stories to check out!

So happy to be here!

Third Gender, Guna Yala

Blog About:

Author:

On BBC, there is an interesting piece about Third Gender on Islands east of Panama. It seems that little boys who feel like girls just live that way, with full acceptance of the community. I guess going the other way is OK too. No word about any surgeries.

I remember reading another article about the Marsh people of southern Iraq who did the same way. Saddam all but exterminated them.

You see Virginia, there is some sanity in the world.

Well everyone that attended seems to have arrived home in one piece. It might have been a little bijou in the numbers and the format was a little mucked about by the weather or as it turns out, non weather but first reports are all positive.

We had a nice meal on Friday evening, a chance to renew acquaintances and catch up on things in each others worlds.

Email problems, changing passwords and new members

For the last two, almost three, weeks, BigCloset email has been intermittent. Sometimes not sending emails for people signing up or changing passwords or sending blank messages. It took us a while to even notice it but for the past week or so we have been working on this problem.

We think we've got it solved so if you tried to sign-up or change your password in the last couple of weeks and never got the email to complete the process, or got a blank one, please try again.

New Book-Gold Digger Bride Demoted to Grade School on Amazon

I will start with a potentially important point, as opposed to many of my stories, this story does not involve cross-dressing or any gender issues at all. It focuses on age regression and social demotion. It is a rewrite of a story I wrote many years ago expanded to hopefully be better written and more consistent.

This is the story of a new bride jumping into a family with a high school age daughter and a strong housekeeper who has raised the daughter since the mother died several years before.

Flashback and other ideas I've had for 21 years or so

Flashback

I know, the title is not original...nor is the concept, but it deals with a girl who can go back in time by literally taking a step back. She can go back to a particular day and retain the knowledge of what occurred.

There are times where her powers bring her to situations where there are more of her in the same moment in time and they have to solve the quantum puzzle at hand. I had one scene in particular where her girlfriend has been accused of murdering someone and in her attempt to clear her name she is shot which causes a paradox.

Someone sent me a message about Patrick Macnee's autobiography

I've read the book, it's hilarious and I'd like to thank whoever put me onto it. As an autobiography of an actor (best known for 'The Avengers' on television) it records his extraordinary life, from his very eccentric parents to his education, war years and life on the stage with all his adventures and misadventures. Highly recommended. It's called 'Blind in One Ear' by the way and that's not a typo. The book explains why.

For years I had this itch and didn't know how to scratch it. . .or even what it was.

I had to write quite a bit, in my business. People frequently told me that I had a real talent for writing. Some close friends said I should write a book.

It wasn't until I started to read TG fiction that I said, "I can do that. Writing is my itch and I'm going to take care of it."

A place for promotions

I notice that more and more blog postings are about book releases. I wonder if there could be a dedicated place for books, where they could last a little longer than in the blogs. I have no problem with authors making a posting about their books in the blogs, but I think to encourage sales, a longer lasting place might be appropriate. In other words, when the release falls off the blog, it could move to the new place. The Forums section seems dead, maybe that is where they could go.

Does something like this seem workable Erin? What do others think?

What a pity that they didn't play 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' ('Land of my Fathers') at the closing ceremony, but with Geraint proudly displaying the Welsh flag, there was no doubt about where he came from.

Helps some other crew come to terms with their change, while still having issues hirself. Finds out she looks like a member of an allied planets rulers, and that there is a plot to destabilize that planet.

The saying seems tto originate from the North of England and 'queer' really means 'strange' not gay or anything to do with LGBT.

So... there I was riding my Motorcycle over the 'bridge to nowhere' aka the Humber Bridge in Eastern England at around 11:30 this morning and out of the corner of my eye I saw someone Water Skiing up the Humber and under the bridge. A 'wtf' moment if ever I saw one.
Then the skiier fell off and into the muddy brown water.
Quite why someone would choose to ski up the river when the sea which was flat calm today is less than 15 miles away.

Maybe someone needs a giggle....

A guy walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "Do you serve ducks here?"

"Yes, we do. We have several ducks who are good customers," says the bartender.

The guy reaches across the bar, grabs the bartender by his string tie and slaps him several times before running out of the bar screaming.

The bartender recovers his composure and wonders, "What was that about?"

A while later another guy comes in and asks the bartender the same question. "Do you serve ducks here?"

Traveling by bike

For the purposes of a story or perhaps real life, I am wondering how far a rider can push a bike in a day? For my purposes, my bike has been quite nice with the gear ratios being to my liking but perhaps a bit low. My tires are 700 x 32 (what does that even mean?) with a maximum inflation of 75 psi, which I routinely run at 80 psi. It's got a Shimano sprocket set. The frame is one of those crosses between a high bar and a drop frame. I'm very tender, so there will be no high bar frame.

Due to a past broken C-6, I ride upright. 9-11 MPH is fine for me.

Just my opinion, so just take or ignore it as such

To me, there are three critical parts to a book. The first half of the first chapter; major characters are introduced, tone and theme are set. If you don't have them hooked halfway through chapter 1, you're screwed and they may not continue. The final chapter, all questions should be answered and give closure unless continuation via sequels. Third; the backstory. No matter where you put it in the book, you eventually should explain why things are the way they are. If it's a series, you can stretch that, just as long as you don't contradict previous information.

Title for a story

Forums:

Caution:

I’m been thinking about writing a story that tells the story of a teenager who learns his best friend is intersex/transgender and his eventual relationship and marriage to her. It’s story of “Who I Am” told from the Micheal Nelson’s point of view.

I origjnally had it titled “chasin that neon rainbow” (based on the Alan Jackson song). While I thought t it would be a tongue-in-cheek reference, do you think it would be thought of as parody?

Just a quickie - again

So firstly, sorry for failing to post today, other stuff got in the way. What? Well a trip out to a Steam Fair - a lot of traction engines, fairground steamers, vintage trucks, cars and tractors all come together at Helmsley in North Yorkshire.

So it was photography rather than interweb out in the glorious weather we are still 'enjoying' in these parts.

I started this one, like, maybe ten years ago and, like the main character, had very little of it completed. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go but now I kind of have a good idea on where I’m going to take it and I can assure you it’s not going to be stereotypical or the same ol’ same ‘ol but it will tell the story of a relationship from the other side of the fence (for lack of better words) and how that love story is endangered due to social media.

The title is not etched in stone.
In fact, I’m kind of thinking of switching it around

No, wait stupid, haven't you been bragging about you're being Celibate?

Aunghadhail, the many variations.

I have been reading Shadows blade's story about Rohanna and find it entertaining. There are, however some unanswered questions.

I think that several Authors have written about Aunghadhail, though I do not remember who. In one story, Aunghadhail is killed. I do not know who originated these tales about Aunghadhail, though in this story it seems possible that Rohanna and Aunghadhail may come to a truce of sorts.

Sun worshipers and cancer

Author:

Talking to a boy I knew all the way through school. His parents owned several farms about thirty miles to the west of us. Of course when he wasn't in school he was on the tractor or elsewhere out on the farm the same as me. He was cautioning me to use sun blocker everyday I went outside. He "now" uses Coppertone sun screen the same as for younger kids. It doesn't burn the eyes if he gets any close.
