Yep, just as the weather takes a bit of a dip, its time for Gabycon!
I shall be setting out tomorrow to get to Gaby World in plenty of time - not that it takes too much sorting out but I might need to be sorted out!
Looking forward to seeing friends old and new and exploring Bond (and possibly Trixiebell's) haunts besides drinking tea, eating cake, reading some classic and new Gaby and possibly the odd alcoholic beverage! This does mean there wont be a Sunday posting but, drum roll please, you can read Sunday today!
In other news:
Travel - we've just booked today the ferry and accommodation for another road trip - this time to ride the Eddy Merckx Classic near Salzburg, Austria followed by a few days in Bavaria. Its only a little event - well in numbers, but it does climb 2800m over its 178km length - equivalent to an easy Tour de France mountain stage! The big pull of course is that Eddy gets his mates along for the weekend, last time I rode there were about 8 professional world champions there, Gimondi, Roche, Bartali, Zoetemelk, Merckx of course and a few other blasts from the past too. So now I need to get my finger out and do some real training so that I don't embarrass myself too much!
Of course the trip will be used for research for both Gaby and Nena, I've also got another idea simmering away on the back burner for a stand alone short story that you may get to see in the autumn.
Writing - well I've been quite busy, three complete chapters written Monday so that's 70% of the next arc complete so its vaguely possible that the next book will be out in ten days time!
That's about it for now, see you at Gabycon or pop in next Wednesday for a bit of a report!

All the best for Gabycon
I hope everyone enjoys the event and I wish that I could be there.
