12/31/19 20:55 CST my mother passed. She had stroke-induced dementia among other health issues and finally forgot how to stay alive. It's been very rough for the past two years. The new year will begin, without her in it. I am not one for prayers, neither believe nor worship any god, but if you do then go ahead. I do not know what this new year will bring, I can only hope for less heartache. No calls, this is all I wish to share on the matter

To me, there are three critical parts to a book. The first half of the first chapter; major characters are introduced, tone and theme are set. If you don't have them hooked halfway through chapter 1, you're screwed and they may not continue. The final chapter, all questions should be answered and give closure unless continuation via sequels. Third; the backstory. No matter where you put it in the book, you eventually should explain why things are the way they are. If it's a series, you can stretch that, just as long as you don't contradict previous information.

I'm sorry to say that due to RL(not weather related) Chapter 17 of VentureRealm Park will not be posted this friday. It will be posted next Friday. Sorry folks, hard to write amid distraction.

Quite often I am asked to recommend a story. My answer is simple, just check my bookmarks. At the bottom of the story is the option to bookmark it. When I read one I like, I bookmark it. If that writer has more than one I like, I'll bookmark their collected works to save time. This really helps as my reading bookmarks don't take up my browser bookmarks and I've suffered from complete computer failure before. Have fun and enjoy the great works found here at BC!!

For all the fans currently re-reading The Stations Late Nite Princess. I have to inform you that after this weekend the body of the story will no loner be up. I will be leaving the comments, since I find them good to read.

Ok. the question now is: What's going on? Well I'll tell you. I have the wrap up of LNP so I can send it off to Erin to get it ready for Amazon(proofing and contract). Meanwhile I have another Chrysalis Project in the works. After all that is done, I can start prep-work on my next project which will be a 'free story'. I decided that I will alternate my projects. One free to read here at BCTS, followed by a story that will go for sale on Amazon. you get the idea. LKM, CP, Road Phantoms are all free stories and only to be on BCTS. Those will stay ongoing for the most part.

The rip-off figure is still at it. This time posting Education in the hills ch35. The fiction section is only accessible if you register but I won't givve up declaring the thefts for what they are.

Well the new year has started. We've attracted new readers and new authors. Some are seasoned writers and others are first timers. I encourage both. However there is a dark side. That's the loss of data.

I've mentioned to a few that I've been kind sick the past few days. it affected my writing. Late Nite Princess will be delayed one week. Sorry folks.

For those that are wondering what's going on with Jess. Here's the update. Currently she is having problems with the power going out due to the weather, so it may be a while before she posts anything. She's been able to update me via email(probably using her phone) so I offered to post this entry. She'll post as soon as she can.

I've been reading posts all day, debating whether I should say anything and if so, what should I say. I finally decided I will and what. A good bit of this will go over many heads, but some may understand.

I would like others to join me in this. One of our writer friends has felt that this site would be better off without them here. I challenge that. I know I am NOT alone in wanting efindumb to remain here as a contributing writer, reader and commentator! For a one who gives you grief, I know there are 4 or 5 more who enjoy you being here. I ask you to stay here, my friend, for if no other reason; I enjoy reading your works. If you want an even better reason; I enjoy talking with you just as much.
