Muse attack!

So I have apparently been attacked by my unruly muse yet again. Mind you i'm not exactly complaining but when I finished the last installment of "Gaia's Children" I had to sit there and wonder just how long it would take for the final chapter of "Murder in the Holy City" to drop off the front page so i wouldn't be bumping myself.

Being a rather impatient sort, I gave all of about 30 seconds thought to that before I decided I didn't really actually care if I bumped myself off(Unless of course some moderator was willing to bend a rule just a teensy little bit).

A funny thing hit me about Social security!

In both of my fan fic's My characters much like Fey/ Nikki or Gwen/ Absinthe or Sara/Carmilia

they have VERY long life spans and like those above---JOBS!
so they all pay into USA based Social security! Via that "job"

So when they hit age 65 or 67 or maybe 70?

Will they get a retirement check for the next 50,000 years or more!

Elves and GOO on Social security Benefits and medicare forever!
That would mess up the national budget some!

Who here has not suffered from identity theft or bank fraud.

Recently a co-worked had jury duty she showed up and was in a jury pool. Before the lawyers got to ask questions the Judge asked "has anyone here Suffered from Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud, or Bank Fraud? Since it is So common the court will not be harsh if you do not admit it but please do." Well Only 3/4 of the potential Jury Panel raised there hand. The Defense Lawyer was mot happy with so few panel members being left and complained. That his client could not get a fair trial with so few people to draw from.

Part two of Gaby's (and my) birthday special

Okay so we'll start by linking you to todays chapter, Japan Revisited - more intrigue and gossip from Dernau!

In other news this week, the laptop that had fixed itself has fallen over again so that's looking terminal but on a more positive note, my injured leg is much better and I expect to return to more serious riding this week.

Oh and thanks to everyone who sent birthday greetings.

A Basic Type Of Theft

I don't know if this will help anyone except as a cautionary tale and maybe a warning to frequently check your bank accounts.

I came back from holiday a little more than a week ago and went to the ATM to withdraw some pocket money, only to be told that my account was now invalid, so I went into the branch and asked what was going on. The nice lady at the Help desk took my card and called up my details on the computer. She turned the screen towards me and I immediately saw that I had been hacked and robbed.

I've been gone

Hi, it's me again, I've been gone for a while. I haven't been able to get computer access for a while now and have been reading the stories from my phone. My fingers are too big to easily type on my phone and I have to delete and retype most of what I write. I'm still in the same state of mind/ situation as my other posts, and it's starting to bleed through the mask I show to the world. No one that knows me in real life know the real me and that I am a girl inside. I feel so alone and stressed.

Bike - not tonight Josephine!

I was well into writing tonight's Bike when I remembered I'd put the washing on some time before and as it should have been finished I went to empty the machine; only to discover it was flashing like the control panel of the USS Enterprise. I managed to switch it off and empty it, then did the washing by hand. It was barely wet. So I don't have time to write tonight, instead going to rub some cream into my poor puddies which are very clean and rather pink. In other words, sorry.

K-Drama fans here? Talking about a remake of one here.

I'm a big fan of Korean Drama and maybe I might find some fellow fans of a specific one I'm going to comment upon here. The K-Drama of which I speak is called "One Percent Of Anything", starring Kang Dong Won and Kim Jung Hwa as the main characters. Kang Dong-Won plays Lee Jae In, the head of a hotel in the SH Group and the grandson of the founder. Kim Jung Hwa plays an elementary school teacher named Kim Da Hyung.

I am emotionally inhibited

There comes a time when a person must be honest with themselves. One is that I'm Emotional Inhibited, thus it makes it hard to put much emotion in my stories except for the same ones over and over again in my writings. I find I have to pilferage others to get a feel of what I want, not even sure if its actually the one I want expressed.

Where did it start? Possibly from being sexually assaulted over the years way back when as a form of living? I'm not wanting to use that for the excuse.

I am somewhat saddened this morning to realize that censorship has reared it's ugly head here.

a bit of an adventure today

Well, today was a bit of adventure.

It started with getting a phone call from a friend who was crying so hard she could hardly talk.

Then I went to the police station to get my fingerprints done so I can change my name, and when I got there I realized I needed 2 pieces of I.D., and I only had one on me, so I had to go back home, get my birth certificate, and go back to the station.

But I got my fingerprints done, so that's one step down.

Terror or Sorrow

I have a visitor in my house that does not know I am ____, and I am not planning to tell on myself. I met this man on Arabnews 11 years ago in a discussion about women driving in Saudi Arabia, and he showed himself to be a good and sympathetic man. He has 5 sisters and decided that he would like a break from being chauffeur, but it is too dangerous for women to drive there because the men are such nasty, aggressive drivers.

Just say no to drugs

I've seen the word drug used as the past tense of drag in several stories in BC, and it jars me everytime. I know that most (some) dictionaries list it as accepted as well as dragged, but in my area it is definitively s sign of lower educational achievement. It makes me think the character saying the words should be saying "youse guys" and "learnt" as a synonym for taught.

Just wanted to get that off my chest (feeble as it is).

I've been thinking about buying one or two stories that used to be here, but are now only available through Amazon.

The issue I'm having is that Amazon is asking for either credit cards or gift cards/promotional codes to buy them.

I have no credit card, so that's not possible. I've seen some gift cards, just wondering is there any other way to buy these books?

It seems quite odd that there's no option to pay directly from a site such as PayPal or something similar. At least, I haven't seen one.

When I was writing and publishing "Lieutenant Katia in Afghanistan", there was quite a discussion about my use of "Leftenant" in the story, so I finally corrected it to be what the majority wanted. I am just now watching "Corvette K-225" made in 1943 and they are speaking the word Leftenant. I have no idea if the movie was made in the US, Canada, or the UK.

This is one of those days that I truly dislike winter. The weather's been mostly okay, although we're getting light snow right now.

The temperature has dropped about 9°C (16°F) in the last twelve hours or so, and I'm quite cold sensitive, I feel it even indoors. When it gets cold enough, the pain from my Fibromyalgia becomes more noticeable and I'm more likely to have a migraine build-up.

Suffered a huge loss.

I just found out earlier today that one of the greatest men I have ever known passed away. Technically he was my Step-Dad, but honestly he was so, so much more to me than that. He was the man that stepped in and stepped up to being my 2nd Dad after my own passed away when I was 7. He was the one that taught me to be the kind of person I wanted to be. Someone who stands up for what they believe, to stand up and support your friends and family. The person that taught me to always do the right thing, not just when people are watching, but especially when people aren't.

Hell, this is Wal-Mart - if they sold whole cows no one would blink if you threw a side of beef, dripping and bloody, into your cart and toddled through the registers. So you wanna be a writer. Some advice from a professional.

What follows is an interview with a very successful writer, Richard S. Prather, who sold 36 books and 4 under pseudonyms. His genre wasn't TG Fiction, but detective stories with a popular hero named Shell Scott. I've pasted the whole interview here, so ignore the parts that don't have much to do with writing and publishing your work, but DO pay attention to how he says he plotted and wrote what he wrote and how he wrote it.

Becoming Robin...

I'm curious how much interest there would be in seeing Book 4 continued? Seeing as it's set 5-6 years ago, and, to be honest, I was a different person back then. I've grown and changed a lot, and expanded my world view.

To put it bluntly, I no longer live in the past, which, despite plenty of "present' (for the time) references, the story was kind of a throwback to the 90s. Alpine Springs was meant to feel like Full House San Francisco (Robin even moves from the "real" SF as part of that symbolic transition).

Eden's reality

So! I've been trying to continue writing Eden's reality for a while now, but I haven't had much luck. I've made a lot of mistakes with the story, mainly pushing up important scenes so that they'd happen earlier in the story because I was worried readers would get bored/lose interest in the story if I didn't, and it threw the whole thing off balance. Eden wasn't supposed to be changed until his first night at school but I moved that forward, and as such Alexis and he never kissed, and Yani didn't appear until much later, after even Julia was introduced.

I drove up to a wildlife refuge out of boredom on a road that I did not think I had been on and as soon as I got off the freeway and headed west, things began to seem familiar, and a bit down the road, I saw a farm with a very tall board fence surrounding the yard. Looking for a story....

and hoping that the crowd can help.

I don't have many details on this.

1. It was a M2F transformation story

2. The main character was an enlisted man in the army.

3. There was a lot of stink (odor) as the transformation happened in the barracks' shower/bathroom area.

4. A senior enlisted Master Sargent / Sargent Major was involved and had to sneak the converted woman off the base and into "no tell" type motel/apartment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I've had several people over the past few months ask and comment about my story. As I've said before I've never tried writing a story before and other than some emotionally charged pieces I've shared on social media I still don't consider myself a writer, or at least a good one. Maybe its because I'm my own worst critic, who knows. I still don't see it and might not ever. As I'm wrapping up the first part of Robbie/Rebecca's journey I wanted to share the motivation, or the reasoning I felt this story was worth someone as untalented as myself to share.

I hope I hit a nice compromise and in a week or so, I hope to be able to start posting Part 2. :)

Anyway, Kimmie pointed out that sometimes I refer to Trumpa (Julina's frayen) as a doe, but on occasion I refer to 'he' and 'him'.

Book 2 instances appear to be in #46, #54 and #62. So these will be updated soonest.

After finishing up the tome titled Somewhere Else Entirely I have mixed feelings about it. First is is an unbelievably captivating story tale. The rich dialog and descriptive phrases gave it life. This is akin to an action movie we can enjoy for the action scenes and the story plot which holds together rather than a movie with no story to tell or adventure to fill in the lack there of. Some of the telling got a little long as the author was into what the heroine described the next "new idea" to the people involved. But all in all it was an imaginative story was it not?
