Ten dollars well spent

Well, I did something that some people might think was silly. I was having a tough day with pain and PTSD, and by lunch time, I was getting to a bad place, so on my break, I went to the toy department, and bought a pink hippo stuffie.

I think it was $10 well spent, even if some others would disagree ..

TG storytime Help

I was wondering if there was a way to Block certain authors on TG Storytime? There is an author on there that refuses to use she/her pronouns for Trans Women characters and I'm sick of seeing their disgusting trans misogyny. I've thought about reporting them but I doubt the admins will care but I could be wrong. Has anyone had any luck with the report function? I'm asking because I'm not going to bother if this person will be protected and nothing will be done. If anything I'd just like the ability to remove them from my list so I don't have to see any of their terrible work.

A New Year

The holidays are winding down and things went pretty well. On the material side of things I got (or bought) everything I needed or wanted. In particular some cute gold hoop earrings made me smile. Awaiting an in-store delivery on Wednesday - a blue Elbow Sleeve Sweater Dress. I hope it's a keeper! Did Santa bring you any special things? Happy New Year everyone! Stay safe.

Words to encourage

All,
This is my first time blog here and first time in English other than comment so please forgive if I am incorrect word in places.
I do not have talent to write stories as do many here, so I am thankful for all who give of their spirit to share words to read.
ALL who wrote the stories I am thankful for who pour themselves into their work, who give enjoyment to others are special people who earn much good karma by giving joy and thought to the readers.

My Little

I just put a new story up a little while ago, and in the process, it seems I rediscovered my little. I hadn't seen hide nor hair of her since late 2005, so more than eleven years have gone by, yet it seems I woke her up, so to speak, simply by using the name Jessica in my piece.

As I said, I hadn't had her come out for so long that I actually forgot her name, which is Jessica. What makes it even odder, at least for me, is I've read who knows how many stories featuring someone named or renamed Jessica, or written by someone named Jessica.

Looking for a story

I read a story, think it was on Big Closet about a young man who is a dress designer, ends up work in an upscale dress shop in a mall and is slowly feminized. His mother is also a seamstress and he help her. Along with his BFF he dress as one of the female characters from Lord of the Rings for halloween, his boss dresses as Jessica Rabbit.

Well with 2 exasperations of my copd in one month my doc ordered lung xrays.
Got those done yesterday morning. This afternoon I got called to see her about the results.

1) Results normally take 2 business days to get back to her, one day is very fast.
2) She doesn't go over results with patients without patient request unless there is bad news.

my appointment is Wednesday.

Child pages

So... I made a title page (MORFS: Chakats Give the Best Hugs,) and I wrote the first part of the story, but I can't figure out how to attach the first part of the story to the title page.

Help!

Updating and adding stories

I've been working diligently on my collection of MORFS stories. I've updated and reformatted the entire crop, and added a few. I'm going to repost the ones that I have updated, and start on posting the new ones.

If you see any errors, please let me know. A PM is fine for little things, and a public comment is fine for boners that will be educational to other authors (like if I use "its" instead of "it's.")

A Short Test Of Your Deductive Reasoning

There are four cards. Each has a number printed on one side and a letter on the other.

There is a rule - which may or may not be true - that every card printed with 'D' on one side must have '3' printed on the other side.

The cards are laid down. They show D, F, 3, 7.

Which card(s) do you have to turn over in order to verify whether or not the rule holds good?

The solution - and the reasoning behind it - is given at around the 3-minute point in the video linked to below.

Broken Heart Syndrome

I was watching the news last night on the local FOX affiliated station. Much to my surprise they were interviewing my cardiologist. He was explaining “broken heart syndrome” in connection with Debbie Reynolds' death.

Not too many years ago he had given me the same explanation. We were in his office going over my medical history, including my family’s health.

I had told him that my father had died in his sleep from a surprise heart attack. Less than a week later, my mother, who had not displayed any heart problems, died from a “heart attack.”

Combefoozled Finals

Recently I have been catching up on some Whateley Tales I have missed reading, and I keep reading references to Combat Finals and as a result I noticed that I may have missed a story somewhere as more than one refers to the damage Elaine Ethel "Doc" Nalley (Loophole) causes in hers.

Is this actually covered in a story or just an internal Whateley 'This Happened'?

dreams and their meanings

okay, I want to talk about dreams for a moment.

I am not sure I understand, much less agree with all dream analysis, but when patterns start get being repeated in dreams, its at least possible your brain is trying to tell you something.

For example, I've had a lot of "searching" dreams - dreams where I was looking for a person, a place, or an object.

A belated Christmas gift to you all, I have just posted the first chapter of "Playing her way 2".

I haven't been doing much writing lately. I've had an idea for a story about a prank involving a secret Santa gift for quite a while, and I thought I would write it up in time for Christmas. Ideally posting the chapters on the days corresponding to the events.

some days start out shaky, and stay that way ...

Well, today was kinda a shaky day.

It started with me being rather fragile as I went to bed last night, and then I got woken up at around 5 AM by my mom in a panic because she had locked herself out of her car.

She finally calmed down enough to phone AMA to get them to come and unlock her car for her, but by that point, her struggles had kinda infested me and I spent most of the day struggling with being more fragile, which made a pretty busy day just a bit less fun than it might have been.

It has been twenty years or more since I was researching transgender or transsexual employment. So don't ask me for names. Computer crashes have wiped most of my years of research. I know, back up, back up, back up. Problem is, even the people we trust our computer repairs to manage to dice our drives. You aren't interested in that though as you already know all the computer horror stories. Probably lived through a few of them on your own.

As the year draws to a close the temperature here is plummeting! What at first glance looked like a good layer of snow this morning was actually a heavy frost that has persisted all day - even in the city centre!

Things are a bit behind this week but the latest chapter of Gaby 14 can be found here today.

Looking forward to 2017 - I think!

2016 in review

The last week of the year is often given over to reflection on the year that is about to pass, so let me add my own take on 2016.

Out in the world, its been a year of tremendous change -not a lot of it positive. Trump, Brexit, the growing power of Russia, terrorism, - its been pretty hard to find a lot of good news.

Plus, this has been the year of the Celebrity Death. I honestly cant think of a year where more famous people have died, and not just b or c listers, but huge names have left us this year.

Whatever happened to Ginger Collins

I have recently discovered Ginger Collins, whose output seems to have been restricted to one year, December 2008 to December 2009. I found all the stories very readable, and far and away the best kept to last, almost exactly seven years ago when "Whatever Happened To Andy Crewson?" was posted on the last day of that year.

It is my belief that re-posting would help other newer readers like me to share in the delight of good stories well told.

In only three days it will be time to wish you all a happy new 2017

So best wishes to one and all
Dave

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I also would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. We had a very different Christmas this year. Instead of spending it at home; we went to my in laws. I'm not complaining. I love my in laws. As much as I love my own parents. My only grumble about living in the UK is that I miss the snow. Hey I'm a Boston girl we're experts on snow lol. The kids had a great time especially as they were on the floor in sleeping bags. Well the older ones were the baby was in his mobile crib aka Moses basket.

book I read

in the mid to late 70's (highshool) I read a book where a man was mentally tortured by his youth where during ww2 he spent it as a boy in a jewish boy whore house. There was no sex described in the book. There was a scene where a ss officer had a boy dress as hitler and play with trains and toy soldiers. I could not of imagined a story of this nature but it escapes me the title sorry for this non site related blog but I can't get this book out of my head. So anybody else remember this

Well that's the first big day done and dusted, at Bell Acres pretty much all I did was cook, eat and sleep - well I did end up going through some old photos, well four years old, and reliving one of my German trips. Not the best Christmas ever but certainly better than the depressing episodes I've had in recent years and the darn right miserable one last year when I was cold and couldn't cook properly due to a broken cooker blowing the electrics!

More updates from the land of Heather

Hey all... just a few updates.

One, my trip to Standing Rock was amazing. I ended up in the National Leadership of Veterans Stand for Standing Rock. We ended up having 4.5k veterans show up in North Dakota to protect the Water Protectors. It was very cool. I was also very happy to spot a large number of Trans veterans among the group. The whole thing made me feel so proud.

a mostly good Christmas

Well, I had a mostly nice Christmas. My mom was working and brother and my sister-in-law were gone for the weekend, so it was pretty quiet. I did my laundry, took out the garbage, binge-watched "Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency" on Netflix (it was awesome), and then when my mom came home we went to Sharon's and had a supper and gift exchange with her and Samantha. Other than her calling me "Todd", it was a pretty good time, except I had a bit of a panic attack.

Season Stuff...

This has been quite an unusual year in many respects. But the strangest of all is the fact that two holidays, or religious events depending upon one's perspective, coincide; Christmas and Hanukkah. Well...being a faithful adherent to Paganism, it doesn't take much for us to be dancing around a tree. Indeed any tree will do and any time of year is 'kosher'? As for lighting candles, well...we light them at the drop of a hat...or any other piece of clothing. And, being Irish, after a pint or two...or three...we're likely to do so with greater vigor.

Christmas Weather

Here it is, Christmas Day, and we're going to have our typical Christmas Day weather.

At 6am the temp is 65F, the humidity is 90%, and the wind is from the southeast at 22mph gusting to 29mph.
Today's Forecast: 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, some possibly severe. There is a low risk of tornados.

Is this a great state or what?!

Greetings of the Season

Is it really a year since the last time we were here?

Well it is and it's been an interesting year and i'm sure the next one will be too. Let me make some predictions:-

Some people will die
Some people will do good stuff
Some people will do bad stuff
Some kids will be born
There will be weather
Shit will happen

In other words pretty much the same as every other year to a lesser or greater degree. So let me wish you all more good stuff than bad, more joy than pain.

A Series On the Way!

Good news! I am going to be writing a series of stories, a little under twenty chapters, from what I can tell right now. The story, titled "Kayleigh's Story," is one I am very excited about. It will deal with themes of love, revenge, new starts, friendship, and modern life. I will ideally be releasing a new chapter every Sunday at 10 PM, starting January 8th. In the meantime, check out some of my new stories, including Christmas-themed "All Was Well" and "The Good Bridesmaids," my personal favorite of the tales I've written so far.

Love as always,
Kayleigh01

Home, sweet home - and the days now start getting longer

Back home again after 2572 miles, 6 different countries and 7 different beds. And I have to do all the driving, the SO doesn't!

Not bad for a 2-week trip, huh?

When we set out with a car load of goodies and garden furniture to deliver to friends and relatives in the UK, I never believed that we would return with an even fuller car ...

My granddaughter, young Bonnie, was a bit cranky for the time we were with her, but as she was/is teething and had a cold and a cough, that is hardly surprising. Her sunny smiley self came through a lot though.

I managed to remove the “PDF Complete” banners from the PDF file that contains this story, and am posting it here as an attachment. I hope nobody minds, as I did not have a way to send this file to the author.

EDIT: To those who find their way here from the blogs page, or from the recent blogs list on the front page: Warm Hearted’s first story was posted as a PDF attachment, which was made by an unregistered PDF maker that added “nag” banners to the PDF it made. I was able to remove the banners, and attached the resulting PDF file to a blog entry, which I posted to Warm Hearted’s author’s page.

Dorothy the ghostbuster ?

Okay, weird dream last night. I found myself in a haunted house, fighting ghosts with not much more than my bare hands, and as remarkable as it seems, I won. But the dream wasn't done yet. At the end of the fight, God told me to pray for one of the ghosts to return to his body and live again. I did as I was told, with my hand on a casket, and the person was restored to life.

If God's trying to tell me something, I think I need an interpreter ...

scary moment last night

Very scary moment for my mom last night.

She was taking the dog for a walk, when she spotted a man on the middle of the street forcing cars to go around him.

When the man heard my dog bark, he saw my mom and started running toward her, and she barely managed to get back inside and close the door behind her before he caught up to her.

Could have been very bad ...

Something I need to get off my chest

Ever since I joined BC I've had this nagging feeling that I'm just wearing a mask when I'm saying anything on here. I know I'm not but, it feels that way. Sometimes I feel that I'm living a lie even though I'm not. If you know even the slightest about me you'd know I had it rough growing up. What you guys didn't know though is that I didn't really get to fully transition until after High School because nobody in my family supported me besides my grandparents. School for me was Hell!

Hormone & transistion without a psychatrist

This isn't for many who drop in to read the better than excellent story telling by unbelievably great authors. It is also too late for others who already took that step of living their life as they felt driven toward. Yet, if we share knowledge and resources, all those who follow have an easier task of making life work for them. This is on the same concept if man had never invented the wheel. Pretty tough dragging every load where we wanted to go. But someone made life easier for everyone.

Simple keyboard maintenace..

turn off computer and unplug keyboard from computer.

On the back of most keyboards is a couple of phillips head screws. Remove all of them.

This exposes the inside of keyboard. usually it's a film of some type clean this with windex. Many of these are plastic with a silver film on them if it's tarnished black anywhere clean with a pencil eraser. (note windex is an ammonia based product. Rubbing alcohol will do if windex is not available)
