I guess you are wondering what that scream was about. Or maybe why you haven't heard from me for a while.

I am really good about doing backups. Honest, I am. I realized at the beginning of this summer that I had to reinstall my various OSes in the computers in the humble abode lest the odd virus crash a computer that was needed by family for school or for work. Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance!

My Muse issued another 4 hour challenge

A four hour challenge is a form of improvisation. The goal sometimes is to work through a writer's block and overcome one's distraction.

Anyone can do it. Like getting into shape, you can't start off by running a four minute mile.

A four hour challenge is like a wind sprint. I not expecting Coleridge or Dickens to issue forth out of me. What I am trying to achieve is to flex my brain into brainstorming and letting the creative juices flow more freely.

Searching for an Irish story

Because it is St. Patty's Day, I need a good Irish TG story. Well, there are a few great ones here. But I am looking for one in particular ....

I happened up a story last summer about a company CEO whose software business in Boston was just bought out. His name is Hugh I believe.

He picks up a nice young hitchhiker in Ireland on the way to Dublin. They stop at a B and B. He takes the couch and she gets the bedroom. She is so impressed because of his being a perfect gentleman that she makes love to him. While they make love, she sings a celtic song and they body swap.

Feeling Flackey because I am

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm not going to be around that much.

It is summer vacation, and my kids are demanding my full attention. I don't have that much time to review what I'm writing or spend time on the BC site these days. I think I'm going to return to writing another series in the fall.

In the meantime, I am going to be spending time with my family. Traveling around. Getting into trouble. Watching my kids get into trouble. And generally finding bail money. ;-)

I will continue to do solos.Just don't know how often.

Simple question about BC

Okay, this may seem like a silly question.

I often go into my user profile to click TRACK to see if any new comments have been made on my stories, stories I have commented on, or blogs I have commented on too.

Today, like on other occasions, I see in red 'Updated' and no new activity in that story or blog in the way of comments.

When there is no activity as in new comments or edits I have made to a story I have written and I see a red 'Updated,' what was updated?

For example, I saw it on my Wonder, Woman? story.

Lessons I have Learned here –

I was so touched that Haylee V wrote a story about me. I have gotten so much praise that I didn't think I deserved and I thank everyone.

I have been writing just a short few months here. I started out by saying that I gave up on writing about thirty plus years ago because of a horrible experience in a creative writing course at university. I wanted to mention a few lessons I have learned here.
