I've been working on a personal project for quite some time that is the pure unembellished truth. It is frank and brutal at times, and at other times it is happy and joyful. It is partially TG, but most of it is not even remotely about that.

To maintain complete ownership of the story, I will not employ an editor but perhaps a proof reader. The publisher will agree to keep the story intact.

Another offering from the Guardian (where else?), wondering when they start to call it the TG Times. It does have some interesting elements as well as the pro and con comments afterwards.

I haven't been doing any writing, I admit. However, I think I might have the best possible excuse.

Last week, I decided to do the one thing I'd been putting off forever--no, not removing the colony of unidentifiable life forms from my refrigerator, though I need to do that too. In short, I've taken advantage of a special program for low-income people and joined the "Y".

Why the "Y"? (Hee hee). Allow me to elucidate.

I just looked for Kitn's story, 'The Rusted Blade' and was unable to find either it or even an author named Kitn. I was going to read it again but it seems to have been removed.

Edit: I just went into check the post and see if it turned out ok and lo and behold down below were links to the story. DOH!! lol Not sure why I couldn't find it using the search feature though.

A lot of niggling little health issues have kept me away for about 19 months, but, I’ve dodged the major problems that often come with age: Heart, cancer, stroke, and diabetes have so far passed me by… So far.

What I’ve discovered is; Getting older ain't for wimps.
In Feb of 2014 I had all my lower teeth extracted after 4 abscesses that had caused constant sinus infections for 2 years. The dentist: “Gee, I never noticed that before but I don’t think teeth would cause that…” In the last 19months I only had 1 sinus infection.

We have been busy with RL, mainstream publishing projects and a host of other things.
However we will shortly be releasing our latest book here on BCTS.

The lives of two people, separated by centuries, are slowly drawn together as the mystery surrounding a portrait some believe is an undiscovered work by a Renaissance master is unraveled.

There have been a lot of cases of sexual assault in the news lately, and as a result I've been hearing a lot about ''closure". In most cases, its referred to in relation to whether or not an abuser can be charged with a crime.

Sadly, that's not an option for me, so the question becomes, can I still get "closure" if I cant watch my abuser be locked up for his crime?

I think I can.

Doing what I'm doing now, slowly healing, becoming stronger, getting support from my many friends, praying and writing and living my life.

That's my plan, at any rate.

I read part of "Alien Investigators" in a writer's group I attend. They are all Muggles but have been very kind to me.

The reading included about 1000 words of the first part of the story, and at the end they were greatly amused, one even suggesting that doing it for Community Theatre could be fun. No one objected to the oblique reference to religion. It was my best effort at comedy.

I just posted the first chapter of a novel length story I am writing, but didn't get things exactly right. 1) How do I make my name show up as author instead of "New Author"? 2) How do I select multiple topics in the header categories (where it is allowed)? 3) I posted in an epub format, but what format should I use so that the story is actually visible without having to download the file. 4) How do I link chapters?

Just so nobody worries, I wont be around much the next while, between packing, moving, and (hopefully) hooking up in the new place.

Well, I've finally found another excuse beside being lazy not to write. My Apple Mac finally gave up and said I've had enough. Poor thing is about six years old and is so slow it takes ten to fifteen minutes to load a site. It's the 21 inch model and I don't need the larger 27 inch version as it won't fit on my desk, well it could but the size doesn't justify spending an extra $700. The one I'm going to buy is bad enough. Not only do I write my stories on it, but I use it for my business as does my wife for hers also.

For personal real life issues, like not being allowed access to my grandchildren, I cannot live full-time as a woman. However, I find relief in going for regular make-overs to a very professional lady on the Gold Coast of Queensland (isn't that an ironic name?) who does a great job of transforming me into a somewhat realistic semblance of a female. I have to say that I love myself after she has performed her magic upon me, even though I can only maintain the illusion for a relatively short time.

As I believe in (among other things) total honesty, I have to say, I love recognition.

No, that's not quite accurate. "Crave it like a drug" would be closer to the truth.

Even so, I find myself at a loss when I'm recognized for all the wrong reasons.

This past Tuesday, I and the fellow residents of the apartment complex in which I live took part in an annual trip that's become sort of our farewell to summer. (As summers in Wisconsin have a kind of "blink and you'll miss it" quality, we get our goodbyes in early).

I've been watching the show I Am Jazz. I wonder if Jazz reads TG stories. Perhaps from this site. The same question applies to Caitlyn Jenner. I wonder if they know about this site and have ever checked out stories?

Had to get a new pc as old one was getting persnickety. It will be September before I load word and other software on the new pc.

In the last couple of days, I've seen the *same* stories appear on the "Random Solo" several times.

Just now, for example Giddy Up Go - The Real Story by Carla Ann showed up when I refreshed the page. It showed up about 12 hours back as well. This is the 4th or 5th time I've had a story show up again. In the last 2-3 days.

Also, some authors seem to show up rather frequently. Though this may just be because they have a lot of stories here. :-)

Has anyone heared frim Shiraz lately? I was wondering if she was OK. Am having heavy Tammy and Heather Withdrawal simptoms!

So, if I have misused the term "Chelsea Tractor" in this blog I am sure that one of the UK citizens will be more than happy to correct me after a sound flogging.

So, I was on my way to Ilwaco, Washington to pilot my brother's boat whilst he caught Salmon, gutted them and packed them away. Perhaps he has finally understood.

For anyone interested in how life and art can converge, I have put some photos up on my author Facebook page (SAA Calvert) of the wonderful Kathryn Tickell performing at the weekend. Tall and lean? Tick. Fiddle? Tick. Long hair now red swinging about as she plays? Oh, very much 'tick'!

The plan:

Sit down with my laptop, taking into account the sunlit balcony and flagons of tea, then prepare #48 for posting, #49 for final editing, #50 for filling out the story outlines into the first draft

The actuality:

Get dragged off to IKEA, buy furniture for the balcony a little less sizable than the bulky 12 year-old table we have been using, spend hours opening cardboard boxes and then screwing, banging and erecting.

So!

Was I:

- IKEAd?
- Flat-packed?
- Swedish ambushed?

Or is there a better verb for this?

I haven't been in a Clownfish mood lately. Partially because I have too many ideas on how I want to go forward and partially because its kinda boring me right now to write it. So I'm gonna take a break from it and try writing something else to get my mind back into writing it. I will finish it but until then I have something else that's been nagging at me for a while now.

I seem to have put my self -- or my characters -- in a dilemma in a couple of the stories posted here.

A lead character is transformed into a female by a woman with vast magical powers. She has rather slutty sex. Then she's told by the woman who transformed her that she can try to act in a less slutty manner, but that such behavior has become part of her nature, and that she can never become a male again.

For a Chill Friday afternoons reading.
