What could be more appropriate for a TG website than a TV channel? :) So there it is, lower left of the front page, courtesy of those bad people at YouTube -- a transgender TV channel, if that isn't a tiny bit redundant. :)

It's an experiment so it may not stay up forever. We'll see. It's really an advertisement envelope, so it could be really really bad.

This will probably make me unpopular, but...I don't like drabbles! If I'm gonna click on a story, I want a STORY...not a short article. Sorry. That's the way I feel.

Does it take talent to do drabble? Of COURSE! It also takes talent to do Rap, and I can't stand those either. Now I'm pretty much done with this mini-rant.

It is imperative that each of us have done the paperwork to allow the doctors to harvest your organs, just in case. You can save lives! Remember that if the situation occures you aren't going to need the organs where you're going.

Sixteen drabbles. Wow.

In less than two days the whole 'Drabble Theatre' thing has evolved from an interesting title for a writing exercise to, I'm not sure what, but something much bigger.

Thanks Edeyn for making this possible, and thanks to those authors who found the concept as attractive as I did for the inclusion of your stories.

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi has been in the news somewhat this year, the 60th anniversary of his death. I came across an interesting observation about him.
As you probably know he walked barefoot most of the time, so his feet were extremely callused. He also ate very little, which led to his frailty and, with his odd diet, gave him bad breath. This made him a super callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Mellissa's Obituary

Good Evening Big Closet. I wil be sending Mellissa's Obituary. I will send this hopefully to Sephrena or Erin on Wednesday. It has been a crazy day as her apartment is all but cleared out. Alot of her belongings went to charities she was involved with and to 2 local woman's shelters within the city she resided in. Thanks for the support and the assistance.

Stories We Would Like Completed

Here is a spot to lay out your wish list and hopefully have the authors see this. Many great stories have, for one reason or another, been relegated to a backburner somewhere. If it were possible to convince the author(s) to dust them off and try to finish them, which of the ones that have never been finished would you MOST like to see started on again?

This morning I had things to do and wanted to enjoy a 10 -20 minute read of a complete story before starting them. I read a synopsis of one and there was nothing in it to indicate it was anything other than a complete story, although length was not indicated. I read it within my time frame but found it to be what certainly seemed to be the first part of a multi-part story.

The BC core software has been upgraded to version 5.7. This should make very little difference in operation of the site but will enable easier future upgrades and will protect against a few exploits that could be attempted on the earlier software (though we have never had such an attempted exploit here). There also a few minor bug fixes, a few of which may cause minor problems.

Naming and Anime Fans

Edeyn So, my mother recently found a list of names that were being contemplated when she was pregnant with my twin sister and I. They were absolutely convinced that they were having a girl, so they really only picked out one name (which my twin sister got, being the first-born). However, the list she found was the list my father's side of the family suggested -- they were suggesting male and female names, being cautious and such. I thought folks might get a kick out of seeing the top ten list from my Japanese/Other-Asian family. Keep in mind, this was before the anime and manga with these names for characters were even conceived of.
  • Ranma
  • Akane
  • Tenshi
  • Sakura
  • Ito
  • Makoto
  • Hibiki
  • Futaba
  • Shion
  • Megumi

For those of you that don't 'get it' -- every name on the list is the name of a character from anime or manga that is either TG or constantly mistaken for the other gender or some other type of gender 'hilarity' in the story.

starting is such sweet sorrow

Ever since I was very young I have told myself stories before going to sleep (though sometimes I get so involved in them they keep me awake). For the last couple of decades many of these have been about the two Bloomacre brothers - one a musician/composer/instrument maker and the other a mathematician turned mercenary - set against a fantasy background similar to Europe's wars of the reformation, where a church based on magic oppresses those who eschew it as a perversion of their faith.
