I have come to the realization that writing from the perspective of a serial killer is bad for my health as a writer.

The first time I wrote an episode of Obsession, I was gone for four months.

This time, being better prepared, I was able to get back into writing after only a week.

That being said, I am so far behind with 12-String that I kick myself constantly. I am writing it, though, and am about 2/3rds done with the current chapter, and have already had the first third proofed for the first time.

Due to your work load Erin, I did not send this directly to you in hopes that someone else can help me with this. There are a few of my stories that I don't feel good about and I would like to either unpub them or delete them. I thought there was a place that I could access to just unpub them but have not found it. Can someone help me.

WARNING: This is going to be long, and perhaps a little nonsensical/cyclical. I'm pouring it all out into text to get it out of my system, but I promise it has a happy ending.

Depression sucks. I know that's stating an obvious fact, but I ended up giving myself a swift kick in the rear today, so I needed to write about it because that's why I started blogging in the first place, over two years ago. I want to be able to look back at this and laugh someday. Call me conceited, but I also want to stand as another reminder to others that no one suffers alone.

Apparently this week is the 100th anniversary of the Cheltenham Festival, so a betting company commissioned some designers to create some appropriate footwear to auction off for charity.

Apparently they feature an imitation hoof made from carbon fibre and up to 5,000 individual horse hairs. And have a guide price of  £1,300.

Definitely for those with more money than sense.

Okay... clearly I am a bit more chipper than the last time I posted. :D So there you go on that one.

I am two chapters up on the editing of 300 Rains and the story is going well. I am up to April 5th in the time line and moving forward. Soon our intrepid Heroine will be traveling to Brazil and her eventual showdown with the Tribe. That should be good. As long as I am still ahead of the curve I should be able to keep posting things on time.

Well, last night I got a chance to celebrate my upcoming job with the local tg group. Everyone was, of course, thrilled for me, and several took the time to calm my nervousness by telling me they can see my growing confidence in terms of portraying a run-of-the-mill woman. (As opposed to me feeling like a I looked like a man in drag) Still got a lot of butterflies in my tummy though. A prayer for me about Monday would be appreciated.

A slightly odd story idea that came to me in a dream...

A group of teenagers arrive at a disused holiday camp (in the dream it appeared as a pair of linked islands, the North containing a mini-mansion designed for group leaders, the South containing deteriorating simple log platforms and structures designed for use for camper accommodation) determined to 'do it up' as they enjoyed their times there and didn't want it sold off to a developer.

Japan has experienced a most devastating earthquake and tsunami. Hundreds are confirmed dead, and thousands are still among the missing. It might not be over yet either, as reports coming out of Japan seem to indicate that a damaged nuclear plant might be in meltdown.

The quake is the 5th biggest EVER recorded and the tsunamis spawned by it have already impacted Hawaii and the east coast of the U.S. Please say a prayer for those who have died, for those who are missing, and for a country that will have a horrible time recovering.

Ok, my last Velo is dying a slow death. Battery is not charging and I figure I need a new portable device. The Velo is easier to type on than either the Dell Axim oir the Blackberry Bold, but lacks "bling". Looking at the new BlackBerry PlayBook from Rim (I want to play HD video and stuff) and the iPad is a nonstarter. Also, does anyone know if it will play Netflix? What other options might there be out there? I was looking at the Xoom, but I don't really want another phone. Too many toys and not enough work options :(

I'm sorry to confirm that my suspicions were correct last night and Gabi was found dead by the neighbours I'd asked to check on her. I don't yet know cause of death, but I suspect that it was a heart attack.

I have lost a dear friend and very good editor. I'm just hoping I can get to the funeral as it's a couple of hour's drive from here.

My commiserations to all her e-friends on this site who will be very saddened by this news at least I had the pleasure of meeting Gabi a couple of times and hundreds of hours of telephone conversations.

There is the Norton Community Forum, but so far the posts there are mostly complaining about Norton's unresponsiveness to their problems. Did the founder of the company sell out or something? Friday afternoon, I went out dressed in the daylight for the first time in my local town. No, I didn't pass, I never expected to but at least I could stroll around the shops and check out all the clothes without appearing perverted or sinister.
New Look, Next, Brantano, TK Max, Boots then on to Cardiff prior to our dinner out.
Yes people did look, and several did whisper but most just smiled and went about their own occasions.
I was out with my best friend, another Transvestite girl who goes everywhere with me.

It's been a while since I've posted a blog, or commented much for that matter. I'm still having muse issues, so I've settled more or less on a biweekly posting schedule until things improve.

There are several ghost stories surrounding both Gettysburg battlefield and Gettysburg college. Most notably, the girls' sorority house, Stevens Hall, has some bone-chilling stories like The Blue Boy.

The story that grabbed my attention years ago though, and has stuck with me all this time, was about a female ghost that supposedly is completely taken with modern fashion.

Eh, I suppose technically this is a post, so I'm posting about not being able to post... (crosses eyes). What I am saying is, there will be no Chapter 14 of Somewhere Else Entirely today.

I've almost posted something about my upcoming event twice, only to realize that someone else might feel I was upstaging a post they made that day.

In 62 hours, I will enter courtroom 60 in the county seat, and go before the judge.

I fully expect to walk out with a piece of paper that tells me my legal name is now:

and go from there to the Department of Motor Vehicles to start the process of getting a driver's license that say the same AND that my gender is F.

Some of you have been keeping track on my blog and offering good will wishes for someone that is special to me regarding a diagnosis that was given a few weeks back.

In short: I took her to the ER for severe abdominal pains a few weeks back. An ER doc and a Oncology doc told her she had ovarian cancer and she'd be dead very soon. Nice huh? All of this without a biopsy just a CAT scan. I twigged the next day that it wasn't possible to declare it cancer without that.

I have been editing for BC/TS authors for some time now on a pro bono basis. I have been happy to do it and will continue it as a "Thank You" for the stories. Apparently, it has been well received, because I'm getting repeat business.
I would like to transform my skills into a profit making business (NOT AFFECTING THE AUTHORS ON THIS SITE). I already have a web site at write-it-right.com, and would appreciate any ideas any of you might have to generate business. The charges will be relatively low ($2-$3 per page) to clean up and improve writing for people who need help.

Well, talk about a change of fortunes.

Not only have I got my job - which I will be starting tomorrow (phew!), but we also have eight houses to look at when we go to France next month over the Easter break.

But it doesn't end there, oh no.

I never got to know this guy very well when I was at college, but he was a well-loved figure on campus, even for those of us who weren't religious. Now he's gone we're all poorer for his passing. Would that everyone in various churches was as tolerant and giving.

well, i was rather stupid. I have been fighting tooth pain the last couple of days, and i had the chance to go to see a dentist today, and didn't take it. It would have meant waiting most of the day at the ER, and i felt better by the time i might have considered it. Now, i dont know when i might have another shot, and i wishing i had gone.

To state 'the bleeding obvious', I am not going to discuss my employment in detail here, so please think before you reply to this. I have an issue at work regarding what is called an equality assessment. Under UK law, changes in working practices or conditions require an equality impact assessment. This is ostensibly a way of seeing whether a change adversely affects a particular group, such as the disabled, married folk, or TLGB (MY turn to choose the order of the initials)

Well, with my laptop in the pit, I have been thinking about alternatives, and then today I saw Steve Jobes speaking about the new Ipad. $499 opened my ears a little. It'll have Wifi and Cell Network internet available. So, completely ignoring the fact that the release date is the 11th I went looking for one to ask questions. Did you know that Verizon is selling the Ipad? Well, I went into the store and started asking all sorts of laptop questions, and then the people there said, "Let's talk about the XOOM?"

I just read an article about how more and more companies are offering SRS and Breast Augmentation for Transsexual employees in their Health Insurance plans. It talked about Wells Fargo Bank, Coca Cola,AT&T, New York Life, and others are offering SRS as a means to promote tolerance and diversity. I left a comment on the article, but I can tell you that it definitely brought out the bigots in full force on the comments page. Most of them, had absolutely no experience with the issue and spouted off from their own point of view.

So, I was looking at rings on the internet, trying to find the perfect one for Madam Zeela to make for Gretchen.

Well, I had my interview, and I think it went well. I should find out by the end of next week if I got the job, but they seemed okay with me being me, and I think i showed my telephone skills. So we will have to wait and see.

The next chapter of 12-String is done, and it has been submitted for editing. Last time I posted about this, I think my editor felt a little rushed. That was not my intent. Take your time, as I would prefer a complete product to a fast one :)

With the advent of the first BC V-1 a thought occurs. Recently, I have been working with an author on a re-write and an issue arose regarding comma use.

I had recommended the grammatical use of the comma in a specific application. The author used the comma as a pause indicator in dialog. When I responded to the author, I brought out the issue, but left the final decision on usage to him.

See you there, we're going to talk about how to narrow the field of selections for the book, even though we are still accepting nominations. Also discussed will be naming some "captains" for the editing, that is people besides me to take problems to. :) Probably other subjects will come up.
