For the last while, instead of writing stories, I have been perfecting a long held skill. That being the creation of barriers that stop me from writing those stories. Something, I'm sure in which I am not alone, but I thought I would write about some of my current favourites. If for no other reason than to start at the beginning of an idea and take it to an end.

So, I've ran into a small snag with Chapter 3 but I'm letting you know I'm still writing it, it's about 1/3 the way done, and well
I have a name for it, its called, Shopping lol
Ok so I know you all have questions about the story, But sorry chapter 3 wont answer them, it might give you some more to ponder though

But I do promise that Arura will show a bit more emotion in this chapter, things have been happening so fast for her, she hasn't had time to think about things.

Hi, everyone!

Sorry it has been 3 years. I could go into where I've been, but you'd find it boring. Suffice it to say I just have not had the opportunity to write, draw, or dress. (I take care of my disabled mother and my murdered sister's two boys and it is nigh impossible to get away for TG related stuff.)

To herald my return, I have created a new Holiday Cartoon for Valentine's Day!

A few of us are over in the chatroom, shooting the breeze. If you enjoy chatting with fellow transsexuals, crossdressers, and fans of TG fiction, come on over! We don't role-play in the room, although there's a separate role-play room you can open/join. Fetishists and chasers are not welcome in the Main Room, unless you seriously behave yourselves.

In the few spare minutes of time I had last night, I stumbled upon a blog that brought me to tears, but yet warmed my heart.

It's a real life story about the type of kid I write about, but this one really hit home to me because I don't live to far from where this child lives, and it's hardly a supportive place for a child with gender issues.

But she has an amazing mother, and supportive father and brothers. But mom has caught hell for letting her daughter be herself deep in the heart of the Bible belt.

Well, some of you probably can tell I am an avid reader/commenter/blogger here. (Take my word for it, if you don't) But I may have to pull back on my interaction here for a bit, so I can focus on my phoenix story (right now, at about 12,000 words, and just getting started...) The other project I would like to focus on would be taking a role in the formation of a "Best of Big Closet" book.

It seems that a British woman has died after having a questionable medical procedure done in a hotel in the US. Given that most of us who entered 'femaleness' after puberty may be slightly lacking in the hip area, do beware of anything involving silicone - it's very dangerous stuff. I remember seeing it being done to young Brazilian trannies years ago and wonder how many are still alive now?

Well, another chapter posted. So that is caught up for now.

In other good news, one of my cousins who I haven't spoken to in almost a decade wrote me out of the blue. She wants to talk and all the time. Apparently she has known about me for a while. Well she told her sister who told her mom who told her dad who told her brother. Apparently, they all don't care about that at all. I am family and they are good with that. Even more... they think my mother is like Hitler for keeping everyone else out of the loop.

So I am stoked about that.

Something has been jabbering away at the back of my mind for some time and I'd like to share it with the Lurker Psych people here. Am I being paranoid, I don't think so, because what better way to study people of our ilk than in one of our sanctuaries?

The initial 3 or 4 years after transition were pure unmitigated hell, because of the loss of my old life, especially my family. However, the last few years have been much better; the pain having finally dulled to a manageable level.

Well, looking back at my blog entries, I realized I hadn't talked about how a couple of my stories came about. I suspect this kind of stuff doesnt really interest a large number of people, but it's my blog, so blech. So without further ado...

I am having a few internet problems at present. My ISP said my router was kaput, but it seems to be working okay at the moment. I shall prob change my ISP to BT (British Telecom) who have some good deals at present.

I shall persevere, however if you try to contact me and don't get a reply, maybe you could PM Angharad with whom I speak on the ’phone every day and she will pass on a message (I hope).

Well, had an awkward moment with my brother on Friday. He stopped by to drop off some pants he bought for me, and I could tell he was feeling very uncomfortable. I think he wanted to talk about the emails we have been sharing, but he was obviously not sure how to treat me. Then he did something very odd. Taking the back of his first finger, he rubbed my belly. It was an awkward moment. I think we need a face-to-face chat, and soon.

I'm totally thrilled! The first chapter of my story The New Job just reached 6,000 hits!

The only thing that confuses is that almost no one who read it more than a year after it was published (it's three years old here on Big Closet) left a comment. What's that about?

That is it for Sweat and Tears, Dear Readers. My muse is dormant now, as she has been screaming at me for the last few months and has felt the need for a rest. Thank you for staying the course, those of you who could. I knwo there are some who couldn't get past the unpleasantness, but I trust all understand it wasn't written for any salacious reason. I wanted that part of the story to be as brutal as I could manage while keeping at least some restraint and tact.

I haven't written anything for a while, I've been dead busy with a new job, transitioning and having a great life. As the title of this blog suggests, I should have known it was all too good to be as perfect and wonderful as it seemed.

There is a picture of what i look like on their and im afraid i waited too long because of afraid of peoples (my parents, teachers, students ect) reactions. My mom just made a comment about how I make an ugly girl and i'm really considering it right now. It almost always at the corner of my thoughts but right now Im considering on acting on the impulse for the first time in a while.

Well, right now, its hard to not to feel boxed in. The road to transition seems totally blocked by that wonderful thing, finances. I need a full time job if I am going to make any serious headway, and between the economy,and my commitments to my daughter, its hard to find one as Todd, and much harder to try and find one that will accept Dorothy, especially since I don't pass terribly well.

In case anyone's been wondering what I've been up to lately, I've finally moved from the pre-planning stages to the actual writing on Book Three of Becoming Robin.

I already have the first chapter down, and the first page of chapter two to give myself a jumping-off point when I sit down to start writing again. It's still pretty rough at this stage, but I'd rather be writing and going back to change things later than spending anymore time planning.

I need some help on a little exercise and I just know that one of you geeks can have the answer in less time than it takes to write this blog.

... It's freaking cold! :-P

Our pipes are trying to freeze, and we're doing all that we can to keep that from happening, but if no one hears from me for a couple of days, don't worry! We have gas heating, so we'll be just fine even if we should lose power :-) Hopefully the worst is over for us, but just in case, you know?

I've realized that I have taken a liberty with what people know of the ships bell system of telling time. So I'm going to post this for those of you interested in seeing what time I'm really referring to in my story.

I love my mom, and I am glad that she accepts me as my daughter. but sometimes her negativity gets to me. When I told her I planned to drop off a resume as Dorothy, she became upset, and told me I had no chance of being hired, because I do not pass. It is hard enough to gather the courage to do this without her being like that, and I wish she would be more supportive.

I am working on a new Phoenix story, and it made me think about a lesson I hope I have learned, thanks to a story that failed. As some of you know, I wrote a "Amanda Waller" story for the ret-con universe, and it got rejected as being in need of a total re-write. Later, I wrote my story "The Tears of the Phoenix", and as you can see if you look for it, it was accepted. So why the difference? Well, with the Amanda Waller story, I think I got myself thinking like a comic book writer, not a novelist. I concentrated on some visual images I thought "cool", and I think the story suffered for it.

Saturday Night Live had one of their send-up fake ads this weekend that was particularly aimed at making fun of transsexuals. IMHO, it was transphobic, trivializing and mocking. GLAAD is calling for an angry response from the LGBT community. Considering GLAAD is rarely "there" on trans issues, this is a bit of an earthquake.

Gosh, it has taken so long to calm down and for my muse to once again feel comfortable in my flesh, Wallah ! Ch 3 is about half written and I hope to publish it this week. To both of my readers, LOL, I am sorry that I have been away for so long.

Once again, after Lt Katia's rest, she is in Afghanistan. Remember the war has now gone on for 20 years; the West seems unable to leave; the need for the rare minerals is so great. China is mining most of it but the West and China have come into a tense cooperation agreement.

Katia will face danger and startling personal revelations.

I just wanted to share about one moment that occurred while Kylie and I were writing "A College Outing". We got to the part where Todd was going to find out Tracy's secret, and we tried to figure the best way for that to happen. But once we had set his basic personality as creepy stalker, the only way that made sense to me was some kind of attempted assault. Kylie had written quite a bit of the stuff leading up to that moment, and needed a break, so I tackled it. As most of you know, I deal with my own assault, and so we had to be careful crafting the scene.

Well, for those who havent checked it out yet, the collaborative story I wrote with my gf Kylie is up. How to determine who wrote what? Easy. If you love it, thank Kylie. If you hate it, blame me...

I'm writing this one almost entirely on an iPhone, during my morning and evening commutes, with editing work done on the weekends, on my laptop. (Thanks to all those who offered advice when I asked (see previous blog). I can say that PlainText plus DropBox does the job surprisingly well. Perhaps I'll move up to an iPad sometime, but the iPhone with PlainText is good enough that the need isn't as urgent as I thought.)
