Concubine's tale edited?
I found the story in FM as the link indicated. I read it a number of years ago, and at least the end of it seems different. I liked it very much.

A Concubine's Tale
I thought this story was posted here first. I do think it takes the idea of Atwood's "A Handmaid's Tale" and adapts it to a realistic Salafist Britain, and then offers a happy ending. My take on Europe now is that there is an increased possibility of the breakup of the EU and the emergence of xenophobic nationalist governments, some even frankly neofascist. Still, it was a great read, and spot on whenever I examined the minor references in the story.
