Well, today I finally got some measure of vindication with the psych crowd. A young woman doing her Doctoral Theisis at a local Uni called me on the phone and we talked for two hours, using all my minutes up. Still, I got a chance to say exactly what I thought of the treatment protocol used on me. During the conversaton she did tell me that she knew a twoman married to a man and they were very happy. You can not imagine how healing that was for me. I had previously thought that no men were marrying twomen. If any of you are holding out, I would really like to know anonimously. I really need to hear that there would have been hope for me having a husband, had I been younger.
So, anyhow after we finished talking, she told me that my view of it all was very different from anyone she had talked to, but she did say that allowing the loss of my family to overshaddow my present love of life was not good. I have taken that under advisement.
I did get a few hits in for better policing of overmedication for twomen. I also got to say that it is vital for providers to make more effort to get twomen involved in society and not living alone. Those are two factors that I feel are vital to the adjustment of new twomen to society.
I also told her that some of the GID counselors I'd used actually had vested interest in getting us to keep coming to them, perhaps re-inforcing t thoughts in people who are not actually GID.
I also got to tell her that I thought that for many of us, stress and trauma played a big role in the emergence of GID, and perhaps more effort could be made to deal with those two issues before addressing the GID.
All in all, I felt vindicated, having finally gotten to say what I felt to someone who is in the field. Now, perhaps I can put away bitterness and just get on with life.
Much peace

Deep stealth
I've known quite a few t-women married to straight men. There is a reason that most are hard to find. They are in deep stealth. Several of these whom I've met had not told their husbands that they were t.
When I was active in support groups in Phoenix, we would see them come through the group. They would participate for 12 to 18 months and go through transition and surgeries, and then vanish under the radar.
A t-girl in stealth mode will not come forward for studies. The whole point of being stealth is to completely cut off any aspect of their male lives.
But I also know some t-women who are in straight relationships with men where the men know. And I'm told that live dilators are a lot more fun than the ones the SRS docs give you.

I really need to hear some success stories.
Thank you so much for your comment. Unfortunately we only tend to hear of the ones that blow up. The rest all seem to go under the radar, and I wish them the best. I also know a young woman who is an XY female and when she found out, she self destructively went around telling people that she was male. Well, in the 30 some odd years that I have known of GID, I must say that things are improving, though some people will never get it.
So, it is nice to hear of people that actually get to live the "Bike" model; I was feeling quite hopeless and bereft.
Much peace

Deep Stealth and Success
You might want to check out the story of Lynn Conway at http://www.lynnconway.com/.
She is an engineer and college profesor who had lived in deep stealth, who finally decided to come out after hearing about the historical restoration/documentation of a proyect she worked on before transition. On the website she tells her own story, but then she also gives a lot of information for TG/TS about transitioning. Both for M2F and F2M. Another nice and also encouraging part of her site are the success pages, where she presents successfull trans-women and trans-men.
All the best to you Khadijah.
