A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
Now that the truth has been revealed, Quinn and Ricky have a lot to deal with.
Each has their own struggles as they try to figure out what is best for themselves.
Alex must deal with being outed by a well meaning guest. Christmas continues
to surprise everyone at The Haven. I wanted so badly to have this done by Christmas,
but real life kept getting in the way. Nothing bad - just a lot of things happening
at once. Thank you to everyone who has been following the story!
Now for the Final Act of this story...
"Wh-what?!" said the man, scandalized. "That's outrageous! We're not child stalkers! We're agents of the US government, here looking for known lawbreakers you're sheltering!"
What if supernatural beings like Witches, Faeries, Demons, and their ilk are all real? Glen Evanston is about to be caught in their many traps in my new work in progress: Magic, Mystery, and Mayhem a Graphic Novel by Raine Monday
Carl liked the freedom of being jobless, but he could never be one of the homeless. His simple rule was to engage with people, and he was good at that. He told stories that were believed – things like “I had all my stuff stolen – I just need somewhere to stay for a few days until the insurance comes through.”.

As is always the case, I'd like to thank Malady for his help editing both the text, and the crazy ideas I come up with.Eydie

It
had been a hard night. Eddie had stayed up most of the night, unable
to sleep. He’d tossed and turned, and when he finally did fall
asleep, he had dreams
where he ended up fighting with everyone.
He
hurried downstairs, poured a bowl of sugar-encrusted flaked corn,
filled it 3/4 full of milk, grabbed a spoon, slopped half of the milk
on the floor, brushed a towel off the counter, took a bite of the
cereal, pushed the towel over the spilled milk with his foot, took
another bite of the cereal, kicked the towel in front of the washing
machine sitting in the corner, dropped the still full bowl into the
sink, and hurried out the door.
“Eddie!”
his mom called as the door slammed shut. She hurried to the door and
opened it, knowing the teenager wouldn't respond, but she tried
anyway. True to form, he continued running toward the highway.
“Ugh, this SUCKS,” Suri overdramatically moans as she types away at her computer. “If I have to fill out one more UCAS form I think my wrists are going to seize up!”
“Could be worse,” I muse. “Imagine having to handwrite all of this…”
“I’d rather not, thanks,” Suri snorts. “Still got half a textbook to read for the next exam. Who knew acting involved so much, well, homework?”
The Fates of the ancient Greeks plotted and wove the threads of mankind. The Furies dealt with the tangles caused by the choices of those mere mortals. [Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos; Tisiphone, Alecto, Megaera]. You meddle with Fate and Fury alike at the risk of them noticing you. That’s a real risk.
Queen Dana of Highwinds the Elf Kingdom inside the Empire has a problem. One that she cannot fix personally. The is with a small minority of her population. A problem that has been brought to her attention by the half elf son of a problematic Duke. What is a Queen to do? She calls on help from a friend. The question now is does she realize what she is letting loose on her kingdom?
Tinsley couldn’t believe how humid and hot it was outside today. All she wanted to do was go for a swim in the community swimming pool, but she has never been out in public in a swimsuit before. She was still transitioning, and she didn’t know how she would look in her swimsuit.
Foost turned his head towards young Pagward and rolled his eyes: “Seven I make that!”
Pagward put on a quizzical look as he said: “Hmmmm. Really? I must have missed one.”
This conversation, conducted as an aside, did nothing for the red and purple complexion of the man who had just asked Foost a question. A question to which he had yet to receive a reply.
Foost turned his head once more and pointedly examined the man from his shoes up to the top of his head before replying; “I do not know WHO you are but I do know WHAT you are.”
“Well… enough for some food and a few other things.” Elise answered. “That’s about it.”
“Okay.” Sierra got out her wallet. “I think I have about the same amount you do. Together we could probably buy three or four small clothing items, depending upon whether my guesses on prices are correct.”
Sierra put her wallet back in her pocket. Elise giggled at her action.
“What?”
“When the time comes, you’re gonna miss that little convenience.”
“Have you ever talked to someone who really understands what it is like to be the real you?” asked Maxine when I had recovered at least a bit of my composure.
“It was hard being the leader of my squad. I wasn’t a commander, I was just a sixteen year old girl with no training whatsoever. Most of my teammates were older than me, the only exception being that cute little girl. I still felt a bit bad, being adapted at twelve years old and being turned into a ten year old must have been so hard. She felt like a younger sister to me, I’d do anything to protect her.”
Dixie holds her little sister and looks at the freshly dug grave their mother laid in. She was lucky that her parents had burial insurance and plots near each other. All she had to do was sign all the paperwork involved in burying her mother. She had buried her mother in her favorite dress.
Baseball players are the most superstitious of all athletes. Andy has played baseball his entire life and is currently a Minnesota Twin in the twilight of his career. The Twins win a game after Andy shaves his leg for the first time. When the players decide that there is a causal relationship between Andy becoming more feminine and winning games -- all heaven breaks loose.
