In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.

<In this chapter, the 'authorities' learn of the rescue of the astronauts by Beverly but are left completely in the dark about the identity of the rescuer nor if the rescuer is alien.>
NEW SPACETRAN
Chapter 2
The debriefing team sat staring at the astronauts for they simply had to believe what they were being told. The American general pressed again just to be certain as both French and American de-briefers listened incredulously.
Commander, we have a level two incursion outside Seattle
The man sitting in the comfortable chair shifted uncomfortably. "Let's get company six and eight on their way out there, and have squad A of third company support locals until relieved."
That will likely result in a complete loss of squad A third.
"Don't you think I know that, you fool machine! We just don't have enough Class I talent graduating from those damned sanitariums. Whoever thought that up should be sent to the next class three incursion."
Have you ever woken up on a slab in the morgue and wonder how in the world you wound up there, with no memory, and with a coroner about to make a Y-incision in your chest? Neither had Gemma Saunders.
Revelations come at a price.
It is not a pleasant thing when one is suddenly out of the frying pan and into the fire. When one has a secret it shouldn't be brought home; especialy when it is a secret that will condemn your fate.
I owe Angela Rasch a hearty Kudo's for aiding and abetting me by editing my story. Its such a delight to have her edit and read her critiques. I've gotten better as a writer of fiction.
I’m pulled over to the side of the road and there’s the police cruiser behind me that’s the one that pulled me over. It’s one of the new constables. He did something with the dash and he got out with a German shepherd?
Christopher was seeking a way to make money and found out that Ed needed a date. Soon, events spiral out of control as Christopher becomes Chrissy... and it doesnt stop there!
“He was feeling pretty guilty about what happened. He wanted to do something to help you out. He said it wouldn't be fair for your mother to pay the hospital bills for his mistake.”
They say good stories start with music just like in the movies, there’s music in the beginning as the opening credits roll and you see those little things as the story unfolds.
Barbra put down the phone and sat back in her chair. She let herself think about the idea that Lyra had lied. Plots of old science fiction movies made their way into Barbra's brain: Alien mind control, robot doppelgangers, and conspiracy.
The press conference had taken away the one thing that I enjoyed most about being Sarah, and it left me shying away from the idea of performing again. The adrenaline rush that made it all worthwhile seemed to pale in comparison to what I was feeling now.
CHAPTER 7
I wasn’t really up to anything for a while. I lived off my bounty for a bit, drank too much for a bit longer, and then moved into the obvious line of work for a big hard lad, door work at one of the pubs I had been using. There had been a spot of nastiness, I helped somebody to leave the pub by offering them a choice between staying in the warm or remaining attached to the testicles I was taking out into the rain, and for some reason they all left together.
It was a dark, cold and windy night, blacker than the inside of a closet, which was were I lived. No one knew me — like this. It was blacker then the clouds hovering over my heart, so dark I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face...
Sometimes, it is what you do that matters. Sometimes, it is who you are. Usually it is just being in the proper place at the proper moment in time with the will to act.
CHAPTER 6
I had a few years of fun, after that. I was really lucky, we were lucky, never to do a tour in Ulster, but Stewie and I got to see Hong Kong a couple of times before it was given to the Chinese, and we had more than a few joint exercises with the Dutch Marines, and more than a few fights, and much, much more than a few beers.
John was pissed that he died on the beach at Normandy.
It was June 6, 1944 and to say Private John Burton was unhappy would be an understatement. Even though he had heard General Eisenhower's speech on the radio, he really wanted to be elsewhere. Not that he wasn't a red-blooded American and not that he didn't grasp the importance of the mission. It's just that he was convinced there was a German bullet with his name on it. It was a feeling he just couldn't shake. All the trouble his parents went through to raise him, scolding him into good behavior, getting onto him to make good grades. And then all the money and effort Uncle Sam went through to prepare and train him for this exact moment, everything his life was moving towards would come to a wasted end on a beach in France he'd never heard of. He just knew it. And he was mightily annoyed about it.
Being annoyed couldn't describe how John felt when not even ten feet from the landing craft onto the sands of the beach before being cut down by German machine gun fire. Talk about being angry as he fell onto the sand...
And then even more angry when he woke up in another time and place as a naked teen girl...
That sounds like a tall order but the Denver Triplets and the Akins Quads are far from ordinary and their lives are about to change in ways they could never imagine.
Eric thought he was living a reasonable life until a series of calamities broke up his marriage, took his job and put his parents in a precarious position.
When Kevin, his tennis partner in High School, reminds him of the great team they made and offers him the opportunity to turn his life around he has a critical decision to make.
