Two Days Before Christmas Eve:
Charlotte finishes wrapping the Christmas gifts she bought for her brother’s. Her older brother was spending Christmas with his long-term girlfriend. His girlfriend didn’t get along with their parents and she couldn’t blame her.
As for Jamie, she barely saw her. When she was home, Jamie wasn’t and when Jamie was home, she was asleep, which was fine. Christmas was coming up and Jamie had Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after.
Charlotte had already updated her plane ticket and was going to fly back to England, after Christmas. She informed her brothers of her plan, and they understood why she was doing it. They wish she would stay around till the end of the year, but after all the efforts their sister has been making. They understood why she wanted to leave.
Later that night, a group of carolers stopped in front of her grandmother’s house and sang. She offers them hot apple cider and hot tea. She also offers them some cookies and treats she and Jamie made.
Later, after carolers leaves and while Charlotte is getting ready for bed, she hears the doorbell. She picks her cell phone up and touches the app for the outside camera. She spots a gentleman supporting Jamie. She grabs her house robe and goes downstairs to help Jamie.
Teddy was supporting Jamie. She was drunk as a skunk. The surprise Christmas party the company gave them was a big surprise.
Charlotte opens the front door and notices an older gentleman supporting a very drunk Jamie.
“What happened?” Charlotte stepped aside so the gentleman could bring Jamie into the house.
“The company surprised us with a Christmas party.”
“And she drank too much at the party.” Charlotte could already guess why Jamie drunk too much.
“Yes.” Teddy helps Jamie to the living room and sits her down on the sofa.
“Thanks for bringing her home?” Charlotte looks at the guy.
“Teddy Garcia.” Teddy smiled at Charlotte.
“Well, thank you Mr. Garcia for bringing my friend home.”
“It’s no problem. Jamie is a hard worker and just got carried away.” Teddy has been looking after Jamie since she was hired.
“Well, thank you again for looking after her.” Charlotte walks Mr. Garcia to the door.
“No problem.” Mr. Garcia smiles at Charlotte as he walks out of the house.
Charlotte watches as Mr. Garcia leaves and closes the front door. She looks over towards Jamie and notices she has passed out.
“You had too much fun, Jamie.” Charlotte walks over to Jamie removes her shoes and makes her comfortable on the sofa.
Charlotte puts the trash can near the sofa just in case. Afterward, she heads back upstairs to her bedroom and lies down in bed. She picks her Fire Kindle up and starts reading for a while.
Christmas Eve:
Charlotte calls her wife and wishes her a Merry Christmas. She wanted to be home now with her wife. Charlotte knew Jamie was spending Christmas with some friends who invited her over. Charlotte packs her grandmother’s old car with gifts for her brothers and their families.
Her uncle was going to come by and pick the car up from the airport. As for the stuff in the house. Jamie would let her know what she would like to keep. Charlotte would have everything shipped to her in England.
Charlotte looks around the house before she walks out to the car. She drives over to her younger brother’s house to have Christmas Eve dinner with him and her older brother. She wishes she could have kept her promise to her grandmother. But, her parents were sticking to their opinions about her.
Charlotte shows up at her little brother’s place and enjoys spending Christmas Eve with them and their children. Her older brother showed up with the woman he was dating and introduced Charlotte to her.
By the time Charlotte arrived back home, it was almost midnight. She walks into the quiet house.
“Hello, sweetie.” Stella smiles as she looks towards Charlotte.
Charlotte was surprised when she heard her wife’s voice. She walks over to Stella and kisses her on the lips. She was so happy that her wife showed up.
