Memories Part 10 (Final Part)

The Day Before Charlotte’s and Stella’s Departure:
During the day, Stella encourages Charlotte to show her around town and to some of the places Charlotte loved when she was younger. Charlotte introduces Stella to her brothers and their families. She also introduces Stella to some of her aunts and uncles that were open-minded about her.

“Is this where you grew up?” Stella looks towards the house Charlotte brought her to.

“Yes, this is my childhood home. It’s been in my father’s family for four generations. It’s also where my mother and father still live.” Charlotte thinks back to how things went while growing up.

“Is anyone home now?” Stella wanted to look around the house and yard.

“No, my parents are probably up at the church.” Charlotte turns the car off and gets out.

Stella follows her wife as she gives a tour of the yard. She noticed her parents made some additions to the house and got rid of a lot of things she and her brothers used to love when they were kids. She feels sorry for her nieces and nephews when they have to spend time with her parents.

Stella was paying attention to the place as they walked around the house and yard. She was planning on visiting Charlotte’s parents tonight before they leave tomorrow. After a few minutes, they walk back to the car and leave.

“I can’t wait to get back to England.” Charlotte hated that she couldn’t keep her promise to her grandmother.

“It must be hard on you, sweetie.” Stella knew how much Charlotte loved her grandmother.

“It is, but I’m lucky to have people who accept me and a woman that loves me, for me.” Charlotte lightly squeezes Stella’s hand.

“Well, we’ll be flying home tomorrow and Jamine will be looking after the house. You picked a good handyman to come by and do work around
the place, should it need it. When Jamine decides to move out, we can renovate the place.”

“I would hate to see the place change, but you are right. I just need to figure out what to do with all my grandmother’s furniture and antiques.”

“Sweetie, don’t worry about that. I’ll have a moving crew pack everything up and ship it here or put it at some of the other properties my family owns.” Stella knew her family moved things around.

For dinner, they stop at a nice restaurant and have a nice meal. Stella pays for it and leaves a nice tip for their waitress. After dinner, they head back to the house and pack their bags for their flight tomorrow. Jamie bought a nice car for herself, so Stella contacted one of her family’s agents to come by the airport to pick up Charlotte’s grandmother’s car from the airport.

Charlotte, Jamie, and Stella stay up and enjoy drinking a few bottles of wine. Stella paces herself because she was planning on visiting Charlotte’s parents tonight before they left. She makes sure Charlotte drinks just enough to pass out, but not have a hangover.

Stella helps both women to bed and lay down next to Charlotte until Charlotte is sound asleep. Once Charlotte is sound asleep, Stella gets up and changes into a pair of black clothes working clothes she always carries with her, and pays a visit to Charlotte’s parents’ place.

Charlotte’s Parent’s Place:
Stella looks at Charlotte’s parents as they sleep. She couldn’t believe these people produced someone like her wife. She extends the asp she carries with her and touches the side of Charlotte’s father’s head with the tip of it.

The first time she touches him; he doesn’t do anything. She touches him again, but a little harder. He finally wakes up and looks at her.

“Who are you? And what do you want?” Andy looks at the black-dressed woman standing in front of his bed.

Jessica wakes up when she hears her husband’s voice and wonders who he is talking to. When she opens her eyes and sees the person, she goes to scream.

“I wouldn’t scream if I was you.” Stella looks at Jessica.

“Who are you?” Jessica looks at the woman.

Stella removes her head covering and looks at Andy and Jessica “I’m your daughter’s wife.”

“We don’t have a daughter.” Andy looks at Stella with anger on his face.

“Fine, have it your way. Why she wants to get back in touch with you two, I’ll never know. However, true loving parents would be proud of their child.”

“Are your parents proud of you?” Andy was still angry.

“They are and they are proud of your daughter as well.” Stella knew what her parents thought of Charlotte.

“I told you; I don’t have a daughter.” Jessica looks at Stella with anger on her face.

“Deny all you want, but yes you do. You can be a bunch of assholes all you want and believe you don’t have a daughter. But, by doing so, you are missing out on the life of a very remarkable person who still loves you and is trying to keep a promise to her grandmother.”

“I’m going to call the police on you and have you arrested.” Andy reaches for his cell phone.

“Go ahead and call. There’s nothing they can do to me. Besides, I can make life for you two very, very difficult.” Stella makes sure Charlotte’s parents understand who they are talking to.

Andy was about to dial 911, but the way the woman spoke, sent a chill throughout his body. He looks back towards her “If my son sent you to intimidate us, it isn’t going to work.”

“It’s amazing how stupid and ignorant you are. I should just ruin you for the way you are treating my wife. However, I won’t do anything like that. When things get too tough for you later in life, don’t come crawling to her to save you.” Stella puts her head covering back on and leaves the bedroom.

The Next Morning:
Charlotte wakes up light-headed. She looked at her wife who was already awake and dressed.

“I think I drank too much last night.” Charlotte stumbles a little after she gets out of bed.

“It’s alright sweetie. You can sleep it off on the way home. Now, let’s get you in the shower and dressed. Our flight is in three hours.” Stella helps her wife into the shower.

A few hours later:
Stella and Charlotte sit side-by-side in first class. Charlotte was leaning her head on Stella’s shoulder. She was still upset because she couldn’t keep her promise. She did everything she could to try and do what she promised her grandmother.

“Sweetie, you did everything you could to keep your promise. If your parents want to be jerks and not accept you for you. Then it is their loss. Remember, you have people who love you.”
