Well, the last couple of days have been full of changes.

The first was some good news about my aunt, who has been struggling with swollen legs, which is that the new meds she is on has been helping.

The second bit of good news was Sharon getting back pay from her job, so she won't need anything from us for the month of February.

I cannot remember much about this story except from a few facts no specific order

medieval type fantasy

witch/sorceress believes she is wronged by king, curses a royal child

curse can only be broken by a selfless act

monarch's magic is life of land

A friend of MC runs a clinic that soldiers burn to ground with patients still inside

another character saves MC from making bad mistake, and turns MC's life around, think is mercenary and teaches MC swordsmanship

The news gets worse every day. Has time run out???

In certain cases such as medicine, I'd expect Artificial Intelligence to regurgitate provide useful information, although it might provide bad, wrong information as well. In other cases, such as analyzing President Biden's term as president, I would expect word salad.

I'm going to have a go at a continuation to this story with some glossaries of dance terms I downloaded. Thanks all who commented on parts one and two your encouragement is very helpful. Unfortunately, they don't have a term for a Smudge cat who launched herself off the floor with forepaws patting together as she tried to catch a fruit fly. It looked as if she was saying her prayers in mid-air. It was really quite amusing to watch.

Lynn had managed to put together some fragile bits of support and help from her family and friends. However, when IBM fired her everyone lost confidence in what she was doing and her support system collapsed. Lynn went abroad for her surgery, all alone. She had lost not only her career and professional reputation, but also her family, relatives, friends and colleagues. She faced a frighteningly uncertain future without a soul in the world to help her other than her doctors.

So, the events in the states has me feeling very helpless, which is triggering my PTSD rather badly.

Magical? gender change, Grandmother dying, mother last of the matriarchal clan, son changed.

I say "magical?" as I cannot remember if magic is involved

I can however remember the clan is a clan of were's and they are big cats, Lion, Tiger, Puma, Panther type big cat.

I think he gets injured in a car accident, before change

also I seem to remember he was at college/university studying forensics (CSI), which also helps when members of another clan in the town begin to reappear dead

The Kellogg-Briand Pact of 1928 attempted to outlaw war as an act of national policy, but it has obviously failed. The simple fact is that throughout history, war has been much more the norm than peace.

In my master document, i misnumbered chapters resulting in two chapters 37. As a result of that, the second Chapter 37 never got posted. That resulted in a continuity error. A new member, maerga galva, called my attention the continuity error; thank you Maerga.

I'm look for another transgender story. It "MAY" be a Karin Bishop story, not sure. But it has a snippet in New York with a look at Eloise of New York hotel fame. Where Eloise staid in the hotel which "supposedly" has a gift shop in her name. The protagonist has to pretend she knows about her.

I've been busy for a while since my last story/chapter went up. I have two ongoing stories on the site at the moment, Toni With An i and Allison. Last summer I paused things for a house move but the house turned out to need more work than anticipated. A few months ago I got sick of only house stuff and started something I've said I'd do, which is work up my stories into novel format.

Last week, I blogged about taking my wife to the doctor. As I mentioned in that blog, I was wearing obvious women's pants and tops and had my hair fixed in a way that would lend itself to reinforce my gender presentation. The point of that blog was to highlight how relaxed my wife has become about how I'm dressed when we are out and about together.

It's Wednesday midnight here, but I decided to post this even though it's a little late. Yesterday morning (I mean Monday morning), I met a couple of people at the office. Christine and Michael are from a different department from the one I run. Nothing major, and nothing unusual - I mean, you meet a lot of people at work. Except that these two were transgender, actually transsexual. And they actually sought me out - Christine, actually, was the one who sought me out, and she brought with her Michael.

I am looking for a html copy of Trivial Consequence- Part 1. Part 2 shows up in the wayback machine, but part 1 was blocked for whatever reason. Stacy's stories are scrubbed over at FM on the wayback as well :/ SO I am hoping against hope someone saved the page somewhere and might be able to send me a copy?

The story was only up for a few days in march of 2018 before she deleted everything from everywhere.

I am faced with a dilemma.

I have 2 pieces that are nearly finished, but I am hesitant to publish either of them.

One is a story based on a comic that I doubt many people have read or even heard of, and the other is a story about my grandmothers struggles with the Catholic church.

And while I have stories in my collection that didn't get a lot of attention, and much fewer comments or kudos, it's another thing entirely to publish something I KNOW won't be very successful.

The situation around LA seems as bad or perhaps worse than a disaster movie. At least with a movie you can detach yourself by it being make believe. What is going on right now is real and there really are people dying. I had expected the death toll to be higher and perhaps it will be. I wonder how many people will die because of smoke inhalation.

In the Portland, Oregon area I have noticed some haze, and upon inquiry it seems that the weather prognosticators expect the smoke to come up here eventually.

At one point, back in the late 1970s (????) I was using WordPerfect, and then moved to MS Symphony for a while... I don't remember exactly but somewhere along the line Word was split off of Windows...

I just tried to look at what version of Windows I have (11) I think, but that dumped me into a Gmail killer routine.

My Summer in Pantyhose Chapter 38 is up.

You may have seen news about fires in Southern California near where Melanie and I live. This is just a note to say, well, they are not that near, forty to fifty miles away at least and while we have had a bit of smoke pollution, that has not been too serious so far.

There have been power outages nearby, but even that has been avoided locally. The area is mostly desert mountains and not inclined to burn, though there are forests within 10 to 20 miles. We'll try to keep everyone informed.

I see severe winter marching across from Kansas to DC. Please stay safe, our sisters and brothers in its path, and preferably under cover and off the roads. The temps and snowfall make our disruptive UK winter weekend a mere shower by comparison.

My Summer in Pantyhose Chapter 36 is up. Sorry it's a day late. As a school bus driver I'm on winter break (remember when they used to call it Christmas break?) and somehow I lost track of what day of the week it was. :oP

For the last week I have been batching it, which means I'm dressed up as long as I don't have to take the dog for a walk. Mostly I sit in my recliner and read, which usually invites one of the cats to curl up above my pot belly and snooze. However, when I'm wearing my bra and inserts their perch is no longer available. No way am I going to let those sharp claws rest on my gel-filled inserts.

Somewhere, along the way, with my story, the 45th Annual Gala of Tiresias, I have created a disconnect with my audience here.
What did I do in that story to lose you all to commenting?

Well 2024 is over, but money issues are ongoing for all of us. I've found I need to watch where my health care monies are going as I'm at a point where medical visits are itemized as hospital opposed to clinical loctions. I've been ill all over Christmas and still feel weak and wobbly. I am slowly recovering, and only cough about 25 times a second now. We had a great Christmas Day at my daughter's house marred only by the fact that my grandson and his new wife were ill and couldn't make it. We got home shortly after 10 in the evening. I was just catching up on the goings on here on BCTS when the first power outage hit. It was a minute later that it came back. Not to unusual for my little town that only has two feed lines from the electrical grid. Then about five minutes later, we heard a loud boom and the lights went out. No doubt, a transformer blew.
