but no more!

Down here in the South West, the cold snap has, erm, snapped. Whilst my daughter up in Leeds still has minus something temperatures and white on the ground, down here, today has been frost free - not warm but above 0c. Since my last post, whilst i have been out walking and riding, i haven't ventured very far, the bike rides have got as far as Bath and my longest walk only just topped 5km.

I have managed a bit of writing, my current 'project' is moving along, slower than i'd like but maybe i'll have less distractions this coming week.

Talking of distractions, i've been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks but i've got sidetracked each time i remembered. But not today, nope today is the day. What is 'this'? well it's thanking everyone who has supported my writing over the last year, whether by leaving kudos here on BC, buying my books or supporting me more directly with goods, monies or simply listening to me drone on. This year will be my tenth living off the proceeds of my writing, It's not always easy, money is always quite tight, i certainly don't live extravagantly, it can get quite bumpy at times, last year being a prime example but somehow i've got through.

So a huge thank you to you all, i literally couldn't've done it without you.

It's Sunday so of course there is a new Gaby chapter for you, Centralstation, the Wunderkind finally makes it to Darmstadt!

As for the coming week, the slight rise in temperatures means i should finally get out a bit further than Bath on the bike and i'd like to think the new short story will get finished too. I'm off to Dorset with Aunty Bev tomorrow to visit a well known author but there is nothing really planned going forward. I will be going up to GOC in a couple of weeks, a hard session of house clearance combined with some DIY (plumbing this time) at my daughters place in Leeds.
