That I wasn't able to post a new chapter today - my day trip was something i'd pretty much forgotten about but I really wanted to do.

What was it I hear you ask? Well for those who do history, specifically English history, I spent the day doing Richard III, Bosworth Battlefield, the Greyfriars excavation site and visitor centre and his last resting place, Leicester Cathedral. Just because it was there I visited the medieval Guildhall too - quite a full day!

We've had brilliant weather and it's been a very enjoyable day - i'm quite tired now having left home some time before I usually emerge from my nest!

I have got extra Gaby in the can so with luck a new book will be out on Sunday before I depart for Germany on Monday!

In other news, i've almost ridden my target kilometres for the whole year three months ahead of target. Yup, almost 12,000km in the can with 138,000m of climbing - that's nearly as many (but slower) than Gaby! Pretty chuffed by that, a year ago it was just a pipe dream.

So looking forward to Sunday, apart from the new book release you can look forward to more Gaby writing here on BC - i'll try to get a couple of chapters for you to read while i'm away.
