I tell ya, its the weathers fault!
Following on from moving Tuesday's ride to Wednesday due to the weather, the rest of the weeks two wheeled activity all moved back a day too so i was out Friday and then again today. Whilst not freezing, the ride on Friday was a bit shorter than i envisioned, just 101km, I really wasn't in the mood for going any further.
I sort of made up for that today, a lazy loop through the Cotswolds towards Cirencester, lunch in Stroud then a flatter return to top 130km and a perfect Battle of Hastings in climbing metres. It was mostly dry, sunshine and blue skies but they forecast some lunchtime showers and they weren't wrong, i got wet but an indoor lunch stop had me mostly dry-ish and just as importantly, warmed up. Whilst i've progressed to thin fingered gloves this last week, i might have to go to defcon 2 this coming week, ie proper gloves. (I have gloves up to defcon 5 which are good down to -10c, if they ain't warm enough i'm staying indoors!) I might have to trade in the summer socks too for something a little thicker!
The non bike days, as it turns out, have been quite fair in these parts (friends in Berlin report a coating of snow today!) so whilst not full on hikes, i've got in @ 7 miles walking and amassed a few more stocking fillers for the upcoming festive gift season.
Yeah, its almost here, next week is the first Sunday in Advent, time to find the decorations and write the cards! On that note i'll give you a heads up on some potential disruption to my normal posting calendar. The next three weeks will be normal but i head up to GOC on the 12th of December for a week before travelling to the Rhein with my Dad, a bit south of Gab's gaff, for Christmas, I expect to be back in Brizz for New Year. As a result of travel and so on, the Sunday posting on the 18th will most likely move back a day and i'm not expecting to post again until New Year's Day. I might be able to do a blog entry or two but i won't have the story files with me.
There is a new chapter today, Party Fallout is ch4 of Only Five Minutes, the 25th Gaby book.
Lastly today i'd loke to express my thanks to everyone who supports me with their purchases of my scribbles. I can't thank you all enough for your purchases, it really does gladden my heart and whilst i'm hardly Stephen King, writing and the monies earnt from that endeavour, is my main source of revenue and has been since February 2016. I'll never be rich but thats the hand i've been dealt, every time i think i'm getting ahead something comes up to keep me 'in my place'!
I'll ne back on Wednesday but for today,
Wiedersehn,
Madeline Anafrid

A bone
Through your nose? That had me snorting with mirth when I read it just now. Scuse me, must get back to the “smell”
