I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
The game is over, and reality will never be the same again.
“I can’t,” the girl snapped as she turned to glare. I thought the glare was directed at me for a moment before realizing that she was glaring at her white-feathered wing over her shoulder. “I don’t know how to use these things yet.”
Our story comes to an end with this installment. I am so grateful that so many people
seem to have enjoyed this story. That really is the paycheck for an author on BigCloset.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who read the story and many extra thanks to those
who took the time to leave comments and critiques. Have a wonderful winter, or summer for
those of you in the southern hemisphere. I hope to be back with you all very soon!
It was 3:00 AM, and the Thief…opened the large, ornate door. That was it. He couldn’t believe it. If his trusted Agent of so many years hadn’t been the one to tell him, he wouldn’t have. They had met earlier that day, in the busy food court of the local mall, the smell of bad Chinese food heavy in the air, stale, tinny pop music playing from some hidden speaker above their heads.
The movie's production is underway, the surgery has been scheduled, and John is ready to become
a complete girl forever, but TMZ has evidence of John's true biological sex, obtained from an
unknown source. How can Bebe and friends persuade them not to make that evidence public?
As always, our heroine is in pretty deep and troubled waters.
I swallowed hard, and told her without pausing, “I am saying that I want to be your daughter. Really be your daughter. Not just mentally, the way I have come to be over the last few weeks, but physically as well. I realise that Kim has been trying, unknown to me or anybody, to escape from John’s body all her life!”
Billie keeps learning more and more about her strange powers as Tennyo. As she begins to move through the twisted maze of Whateley's Student Services. And that's just to go back to the station to get her luggage.
This is the properly edited and ordered version of the story.
Laura Doyle put down her menu, gave her order to the waiter and lit a cigarette. "You know Bobby, I'm always glad to see you. We go back a long way and

Well, you've all met the girls, and Hank, plus some rather interesting characters along the way. But how did things go when Team Kimba first met each other?
This story was delayed due to technical problems, but it is advisable to read at least the first stories for Fey, Chaka, Tennyo, Jade, and Ayla to really understand what is going on in this one. Also, It repeats some information already mentioned in other stories. If that bothers you, just skip over the repeated sections, please.
Synopsis: Little did Roger Lyons know that the pretty young girl he met
on his late night flight would lead him into a new life and introduce

What will Donna Mae Trix get her girlfriend for Valentine’s Day?Could a cruise be the cure for the wintertime blues? The continuing misadventures of Miss Anne Thrope, by the author of The Jessica Project.
Billy ate the brownie his brother offered. Not a good idea. What followed was a wild mess of transformation, kidnapping, escapes, mass destruction, and hiding out. Also, what's a teenaged boy doing having a period?!
Some light is cast onto the general background, but not enough to provide real illumination. And, alas, none appears at the end of the tunnel for David.
Indeed it is generally a rather dark episode; with nothing in it to provide comfort for those who enjoy a happy ending. Although I suppose such depends on your point of view and where your sympathies lie. With the Foundation or with David?
"Girls must strive to develop a personality that could best be characterised as ladylike."
The Deception of Choice
Part 2
by Fleurie
These are Chapters 3, 4 and 5. David's life might be thought by those more concerned with physical rather than mental deprivation to have taken a more promising turn. Perhaps so but David is less than convinced; indeed in his mind the confusion mounts. As indeed it does in the author's.
Apologies if it still seems slow. Maybe after all it is wrong to blame David for it. Other factors could be at work.
Sometimes, life is a game of charades and no one knows the solution to the puzzle...
The Deception of Choice
by Fleurie
These chapters concern an enforced selection, random or otherwise, and its consequences. About hope against sad inevitability. About futility in the face of nameless authority. Neither the author nor the main character know yet how it will end. Doubtless all in tears though. Life usually does.
It is dreadfully slow but possibly may get better. So much depends on David.
His mother was true to her word. As Jimmy's chest recovered from Dr. Brown's scalpel, Carol made some calls. The lawyer referred to her by Dr. Doyle created a new identity for Katie. He even helped Carol forge school transcripts so Katie could start high school at Gilmore in the fall.
The Leader narrowed its pupils, just a bit... the equivalent of a slight smile for its species. The most important of the group were already supporting the plan. The others would go along, eventually. It sat back and let them plot and scheme, only occasionally asking a question or making a suggestion. Yes, this would work well...
"Granny, Granny, please tell us a story! Pretty please, Granny!" said nine year old Linda as she sat on the floor with her twin sister Julia.
They had on matching sky blue blouses and navy blue skorts which each had embroidered a red rose with green stem and leaves as well as the first initial of their name. They both looked precious in their white knee socks and black Mary Jane's. Each of them looked intently at me with their deep blue eyes, resisting the temptation to twirl their long blonde hair in their fingers, since they loved my stories.
Before I could answer, Julia burst out, "Tell us a new one, Granny! Pretty, please!"
