That was the only thing Jim could think as his Dad pontificated on all matters of life and love while he drove them both in his beaten-up white van to the job site.
His dad cleaned septic tanks for a living, and Jim was home on summer break for college, so he had been roped (read: forced) into accompanying him to today’s job, while his Dad’s regular guy, Simon, was out sick with a stomach bug, the product of some bad beef empanadas he had had for dinner the night before.
From the time Taylor was five, all he could remember was wanting to be Emma’s younger sister.
He loved dressing up in her hand-me-downs. He admired his older sister and really wanted to be her. Halloween was his favorite holiday because he could let his fantasies run wild and be Cinderella or Wonder Woman. And playing make-believe was always fun when he could be the cute little girl.
But, something happened when he turned twelve. He put away the dresses and costumes. The doll house went up in the attic and Taylor’s fantasies were all in his mind.
Until one fateful Saturday that changed everything. This is that story.
After flubbing a powerful incantation, meant to give newly coronated Demon Queens the wisdom of their ancestors, Devilla Satanne awakens to memories of her past life as Jacob Divington, a human from Earth. Having gained a new perspective on life, she quickly comes to a rather horrifying conclusion: she's been a complete and utter brat! No wonder everyone hates her!
And then there's the fact that she's apparently been reincarnated as the villainess of Tower Conquest, a lesbian porn game with a surprisingly intricate plot. One in which the Heroine conquers Dimona Tower, turning Devilla's people against her in the process. In victory, the Heroine brings about a glorious age of peace between demons and humans for the first time in millennia. ...Which actually sounds pretty good for her people, come to think of it. Devilla knows her terrible behavior is beyond forgiveness, but maybe she can still make up for her past mistakes? She just needs to make sure the events of the game unfold correctly. Though there is one little detail she'd like to change - the part where Devilla herself is killed or enslaved!
That is my sister Amelia. You can probably see the family likeness. And that is me – dressed as a bride. And looking at Amelia in this photo it now seems pretty clear to me that this was what she wanted all along, although maybe not dressed this way.
Sophie’s leg was badly swollen and she couldn’t stand for long at all. Sophie was ok about it, the wedding was still a few days away and the doctor said it would soon be fine. Mum was angry I had caused it and completely ignored why I was rushing.
She didn’t really understand that I hadn’t wanted to attract any attention dressed the way I was, telling me I was being silly and not very sympathetic to my embarrassment.
I wake up laying in a hospital bed and my body is aching all over. The last thing I remember is walking along the high street the after seeing my girlfriend Sarah, off at the train station to go back to London, no wait, that was the day before. Sorry, I’m really tired, so let me start again.
This is an expansion of a story I posted a few weeks ago. It also contains comments and suggestions from two of the most gifted writers on BCTS, Angela Rasch and Emma Anne Tate.
"She just had to leave me all this stuff, didn't she?" the well-dressed man sighed. He was standing before a big pile of boxes that had been inadvertently bequeathed to him.
Charles is now at Jane's Winsome Girls' School for Wayward Boys. He has volunteered to become one of Jane's girls to help Jane not only clear his name but to help Francis. ----
Emily finally confronts her mother and doesn't believe what she hears.

It was three months after the debacle of Stef's birthday. Emily could still taste the protein bar she had choked down late that night, when her nausea finally abated.
Life Seems to Suck Sometimes (Part 3)
By Sabrina G. Langton
***
Author's Note: Hmmm... this is the chapter with just a little angst, just a little. We also find out how our heroine got her name. (It's cute, I swear.) Life starts sucking just a little bit, but we are strong we can take it, we know it's only temporary... ha... I hope YOU like it...
Still reeling from their disastrous loss at the hands of Xenos, Chris and the others race to find a clue that will help to track him down so they can thwart his plans. And for Chris and Lydia, to get him to swap their bodies back!
As Mir'tan and I rose from our slumber, the tranquility of the night gave way to the urgency of the day ahead. Despite the unsettling revelations regarding Dr. Lin, I felt a sense of determination coursing through my veins, ready to face whatever challenges awaited us.
The sudden announcement over the coms jolted us into action, the distress call from the Alliance Fleet troop transport demanding our immediate attention. Mir'tan's decisive response echoed in the room, her eyes meeting mine as she issued orders to prepare for battle.
Fool. From the French fol (or folle for the girls) or Latin follis meaning mad. There are other possible root words, but they seem unlikely.
But what is madness?
Einstein famously said, ‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results,' which is – typical of the man – genius, but it doesn’t quite work.
Next morning, after breakfast, he loaned me a gown and slippers and I crossed the garden between number two and number six, carrying my clothes. I was sure that I would be seen by the others but, today, I didn’t care. I had done what Jenny and Aggie surely did. My mind was full of memories of last night, a perfect way to lose my virginity.

A Short Story

Raphael was angry, and that was an emotion that was not unexpected.
It is not an emotion that I have ever experienced and that is deliberate. It is almost universally destructive, but it is part of the human condition. Not experiencing it serves to remind me that I am not human, although I aspire to be as human as possible, not the least to better understand how I may serve and protect.
Seventeen - it's a birthday overshadowed by its predecessor and successor and Gaby's looks set to follow that pattern. There are however big decisions to be made, should she grab life by the horns and experience everything it has to offer or take the more conservative, safer route through life. This volume, the 26th in the Gaby series has all the elements of classic Gaby, bike riding, teenage angst, developing relationships, grist to the mill for our heroine as life in the Ahrtal ticks on.
Right in the middle of playing a game, Nathan heard his phone vibrate. Annoyed, he paused and picked it up, going straight to his texts.
He saw a message from Kate.
“Hi, just wanted to check in.” It said.
He put his phone up to his chest, closing his eyes and breathing in deeply. He forgot the last time he received a message from her. From what he remembered, she hadn’t tried to talk to him since…
He shook his head. No, he didn’t want to think about that.
He brought his phone back out, opening his eyes and staring down at the message as if entranced.
You’ve only ever seen women like me power dress to do business. Then she waltzed in like a pretty little girl wearing that low cut flower print summer frock with a man who looked old enough to be her father and you assumed he was the chief negotiator and went to shake his hand first. She knew you wouldn’t have done your homework, so she set you up to look like an idiot, and you fell for it, all of it, hook, line and sinker. Her cleavage had you off balance and thinking she was the older man’s decorative plaything from the moment she came in, and from the moment you realised your mistake you were stuffed. No one can recover from a mistake of that magnitude, so you were even less useful to me than usual. That confirms that as always she did her home work on us and on you in particular.
Angelique is coming into her own, which involves lascivious dwarves, an amorous angel, and a hellhound or two. Things get complicated but it's not her fault, she's sexy, hot as hell, and inclined to violence as the solution to certain problems. Maybe it comes from being half-succubus and half-hellmaid?
Being sixteen is a big deal for a teenager, it's an even bigger deal when you've transformed yourself into a girl using powers you didn't even know you had.
Coping with a new body is one thing, learning to harness your new abilities is something else, then add a fledgling career as a model on top. It's fortunate Shannon has her friends at her side as she follows in her sister's footsteps.
It's bad enough having classroom politics, now you have to worry about celestials and demons and the fate of your world and several others... and it's not even Wednesday.
