Another busy week... don't they all seem to be, any more?

I'm working on the next part of PFH, hopefully I'll have it ready some time this afternoon. I've found that writing while watching Ranma 1/2 serves to both distract me and inspire me at the same time, so that's what I'm doing right now :P

Anyhow, I'll make sure to have the next part posted as soon as possible, and maybe this next week I'll be able to get more done, and faster, so I don't have to worry about delays like this again!

Farie Tales and What If's
By Connie Alexander

There are two basic types of 'Farie Tales'. There's the Disney sweetness and light and everyone lives happily ever after kind, and then there's the Brother's Grimm not always a happy ending type.

Have you ever considered that the only thing that separate the two are the two words "what if"? For example, what if the Singing Sword had missed the mark and the dragon queen had destroyed the young Prince? Princess Aurora would still be sleeping.

Here's another farie tale that has a "what if" ending. I'll begin it as all good farie tales begin, but be warned, this is a sad tale.

But I don't have anything else to post and it's been sitting on my hard drive for a month or so, so I figured I'd post something, no matter how bad. Yeah, really makes you want to read it, doesn't it? ;)

I used to weep and kill my pillow after my shrink said that my emotional development had been arrested. My God, I can't remember her breaking any laws! At the time, she said I was emotionally 12. Oh, God no! I did not want to go through being 12 again. Imagine me driving on busy freeways! Yalla!

So, now she will give me 17! GAH!

That must be why I listen to Shakira, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, GaGa, Ke$ha, Avril Lavigne and other pop grls.

Warren Beatty and Annette Bening's 18 year old daughter is now their son, Stephen Ira [click here for story]. Dad is said to be publicly furious.

Stephen now joins Chaz Bono as one of the more famous FtM children of celebrities.

In my opinion, or perhaps just hope, such public transitions of "Inside Hollywood" -type names help to undemonize transgender issues in the public mind.

Discuss.

How many ways can I name Terri's future version, without actually calling her Terri?

Doppelganger

The problem with having a conversation between two versions of the same person is that how do you help the reader tell them apart.

Any suggestions?

Marina 12

Another person recently inquired about a Space Opera story they were looking for. This brought to my mind Marina's story The Last Frontier over on Sapphire's. She seems to have left a large portion of her later works unfinished, and I just wondered if anyone ever hears from her, or knows of her, or maybe if something happened to her. She authored quite a few really good stories then just faded.

I am sorry, I could not resist posting this. I know there is nothing T about this except I really like his beard and he could drag me off to his lair if he wanted to. I'd even tickle his cute little belly! I must be PMSing this morning, been up and down all morning.

I was having an actual date the other night and before hand we were talking about her coming over to eat. I said I'd cook. She was surprised and asked if she could watch. I said sure because I know she didn't quite believe that I could, I asked her what she liked and Kymm aparently likes Italian. I found that neat because she's Korean.

Anyway...Here's some of my recipes:

I Have A Question

I Have A Question

By Stanman63
I Have A Question!

Synopsis:I have heard about how in the past where there was some question about certain women athletes from Russia that were either injected with steroids to give them an edge or were men forced to become women to compete. Is there any truth to that? And what about inter-sexed athletes?

Back from France

Okay, we’ve been back a week and already we’re planning our next trip with the Limousin in mind.

The houses we visited the first time we went were appalling and we wondered whether anything resembling our dream house was going to be possible this time.

Transgender group left with few options

Newspaper item from New Zealand:

Transgender group left with few options

“An attempt to help young transgender sex workers find new jobs outside the sex industry has been hit by the axing of a Government job scheme.”

The statistics at the end of the article make sad reading when you look at the proportion of TG folk who are working in the sex industry. The population of New Zealand is presently about 4.37 million persons.

Looking for a story about father and son in future military. Son is captured and transformed to female by alien technology. Father is his commanding officer and refuses to accept new daughter as officer. Tries to send back home to mother, but daughter is determined to stay at the front. At end of story father too is captured and transformed.

Spying, paranoia and things in our stories.

In writing, sometimes I get so involved in the plot that I fear I am going round the bend sometimes. Part of that is due to the fact that lately while doing research for my stories, I have found out things that are even more astonishing than what I have written!

I name this ship... any suggestions?

I will be away on holiday in Cornwall for just over a week from Friday, so I won't be doing any writing for a while. (Hooray, I hear you say). Thankfully, I have had my anti-Piskie shots, so I shouldn't catch anything more nasty than a hangover.

Anyway, I will be starting a new chapter of Changes soon and I would like to have suggestions regarding the name of Samantha's new boat/yacht/ship.

It will need a sense of taste and decorum as Dotty will be re-launching her with a bottle of Bollinger or two.

Battered, but back

Back in April I had the chance to spend a week at my friends' condo at the beach. They had planned on going for Spring Break as usual, but something came up and they had to change their plans, so they told me to go and enjoy myself, which I did. Then the Monday after I got back I went out for a jog, and woke up the next day in the hospital.
