Nothing has been deleted or unpubbed: A policy statement of sorts

The posts this morning about Stan and the comments on those posts have been moved off of the front page but they were not deleted nor unpubbed. They can be found by anyone who looks for them but I'd prefer that the matter be dropped since it seems to have blown out with a few appropriate apologies.

I'm actually impressed that such a hot topic came up and got openly discussed and no one lost their temper.

I haven't been reading all of the comments in question that seem to have provided the impetus for this but attack comments are not allowed here at BC. It's in the masthead, "a friendly place". If something you are about to say could be considered unfriendly, don't say it here.

Don't stalk or harass people in PMs or comments. that's not friendly.

If you have a gripe about another BC member's behavior, in forums, blogs, comments or PM, PM them or me.

If you have a gripe about a story, PM the author or me. I'll probably tell you that it's a story and if you don't like it, tough. :)

Remember that almost everyone that comes here is a little bit wounded by life. Try to leave the salt shakers and sharp pointy objects somewhere else.

BC is meant to be a safe, friendly place where people can enjoy reading, writing and discussing TG fiction.

If the purpose of your forum, blog or comment does not fit into the above statement, it should at least not be intended to hurt, annoy or embarrass anyone.

No one is saying you have to be friends with everyone here. Being friendly doesn't go that far. :) If someone really annoys you just by being themselves, well, it has been pointed out that there is an ignore button on the site.

Hugs to all,
Erin

I'm Shocked! Shocked!

I'm shocked there was a controversy that I didn't start or make worse.

I must be slipping.

So am I

Usually, I put in my two cents and exacerbate the situation, but not this time. I must have been on another planet or something, coz I like totally missed it.

Stan has been commenting on my Cliffside story, having read the entire six parts yesterday, so what can I say but thanks, Stan.

I don't just look it, I've totally lost the plot

Awww Erin, are you psychic?

How did you know about my secret salt shaker?!

Well at least she doesn't know about my plan to slowly, over a period of a few years up the blood pressure of the Tri-State area by covering the tap water will a slow supply of salt?! By then the Tri State will be too slow or lazy to stop me from conquering them! What?! She's listening?!
Curse you Erin the Electric Eel!

You'd Think People Would Learn.

With all the rejection that T folk experience, or is it just me, you'd think we'd be more tolerant of others.

Maybe I am just more sensitive to rejection because I come from an extremely conservative religious tradition, and they rejected me like I was a Magot off the bottom of the garbage can. And, even some here think that because we are T, then we will suck anything, and put anything in any orfice.

I know someone who does all that, but I don't and anytime I can be friendly or support her emotionally I do.

Ugh.

That's like assuming that just because someone's Gay they must sleep around or do anything in bed. What ignorance.
You get hypocrites everywhere Gwen though it really annoys me some T people, after SRS, pretend they're not part of the GLBT community.

I hate it when I miss the drama. I feel like I'm lost without any kind of light source. Even if I don't add anything to the discussion, I still like to know....

Oh well. Maybe it's better like this.

Sorry!

I didn't realize forum posts would show up on the front page!

I might not have said anything, but I'm sitting here with an abscessed tooth that the antibiotics and pain meds are very slowly dealing with...

And then to read 3 stories in a row with comments attacking Stanman's comments...

Well I felt I had to say something, somewhere. If anyone thinks I stepped over a line, I'm sorry. If anyone thinks I aimed it directly at you, well.....

Janice

I hope you're getting better

I had osteomylitis develop in an abscessed tooth a few years ago and I had to drive with some of the worst pain I ever had. Pain meds are probably only putting a dent in the pain or making you very very woozy.

I don't think you stepped over the line; certainly Erin was appreciative that while the debate was contentious, it remained civil. Hope your tooth is dealt with swiftly.

She was born for all the wrong reasons but grew up for all the right ones.
