While I was being sick and unavailable today, Sephrena made a judgement call on a blog that skated close to BC's ban on possibly inflammatory blogs related to politics or religion. She made that decision because I was unavailable. When she did get in touch with me later, I backed her up and talked privately with the blog's poster to make sure there wasn't a problem there.

Sephy made a blog post to explain what had been done in case someone wondered why the blog had been posted.

People who NEVER even saw the removed blog have been trying to second-guess Sephy and have tried to extrapolate this policy to say it threatens story content, even though Sephy made it a point that the prohibition on politics and religion doesn't apply to stories. Because of that discussion, I've removed Sephy's blog and the comments on it and replaced it with this one -- with comments turned off.

This is an extremely minor part of BC's terms of use. It has not in the past been a problem. Blogs are a minor part of what BC offers as part of a community. There are other places to discuss religion or politics. No one is being picked on here and if anyone thinks they are being oppressed by this policy, I invite them to go to TGLibrary.com, start their own separate webpage their and blog about whatever they desire.

BC is for stories. If someone has a point they want to make about a religion, political view or culture, make it in a story and it is absolutely allowed. The only restrictions on stories are copyright and certain sorts of pictures.

And that is enough about that.

Hugs,
Erin
