A certain amount of unfriendliness will be tolerated here. I just remove unfriendly posts and issue occasional warnings and explanations. But willfully pursuing another poster here with an obvious intent to cause harm will not be tolerated. Two people tonight went over the line and their accounts have been suspended. These same two have done this before and undoubtedly, if I were to reinstate their accounts, would do so again.

You may have noticed that neither I nor PS have been updating the Bike summary spreadsheet recently. Unfortunately, we've both been quite busy recently, and as I often now read it first thing in the morning before heading to work, I don't have time to update it until the evening, when I tend to forget to re-read the last episode and update it.

Passover Nissan 13, 5771/April 17, 2011

In the past few days, my short story turned serial turned novel, No Obligation, has gotten a lot of attention. We're talking many more hits per day than usual, with the first chapter easily scoring over a hundred hits a day.

I did a site search, wondering if someone had mentioned the story in a comment without my being aware of it, but there was nothing. Not that I'm not grateful for the attention, Powers That Be, but ... does anyone know why my favorite child is getting noticed? *grin* Inquiring minds want to know.

For those of you who like them I am hoping to post the second part of my serial today. Thanks to one and all for the comments and kudos. part 1.1 may seem more like an added chapter, and will fill some plot holes from the first part. If I have stepped on someones elses story or plot line, I do apologize. I don't get to read a lot of the story's here as time is limited for me on the net... Best wishes to all.

I just had a bit of a scene pop up in my head where someone was explaining how humans are the results of crossbreeding between elves and dwarves, and what we usually consider masculine or feminine are actually expressions of our dwarven and elfin natures. I really like the idea and it feels like an important part in the middle of a story, but I'm at a loss as to what the beginning or end might be. Any suggestions?

Well, I had an unusual incident at a local McDonalds. I was taking my ex home from her 2nd job with my daughter in tow, when she asked if she could pick something up. I had no objection, so we went. I was waiting in the car with my daughter while she went in to get her stuff. While I was waiting, this young man came out, and he had a "wet floor" sign under his jacket, and he started to walk away. I did something totally out of character for me. I got out of the car, and asked him what he was doing. I basically shamed him into returning the sign.

So as I'm staring at my stories page, I noticed that Becoming Robin is 4 hits away from 10,000. The next closest is chapters 2 and 3 at around 6.5k so of course hits don't mean much :-) But since Robin is technically one year old at this point (Though her 1 year anniversary is in a couple of weeks) I thought I'd post something appropriate.

well after the complete and total loss AKA crash of my last computer... Hopefully I am back and can submit some story's again. My best wishes to all who might have been waiting for my next post. And a word of friendly advice...backups, backups, backups. Master copies of your work are far more valuable than you might think. Your time alone is worth something and you could loose it all in crash... Ask me I know....lol hope you all enjoy the next post...

Well, the tribe has spoken, as it were. Everyone who gave me an opinion on the dilemma I was facing with the next two chapters of RSM said post the two chapters together, so that's how it will go. They will be up tomorrow, and I will leave the chapter heading between so you can see where the cliffhanger was. I hope you guys enjoy them.

I was so astonished to day when I posted Ch 3. It went up just as I had written it!!! Thank you Erin!

This story is a horse of a different color, and in looking at the two previous stories, I am satisfied with the Kudos and read counts. I did not set out to be a star, but to write from my heart.
