Seems a very bizarre way to avoid arrest, especially as it failed. Now in TG fiction, she would have escaped and lived happily ever after. Real life is less predictable.

Perhaps the individual was transgendered and created this scenario to justify the transition as no non-TG would take such extreme meausures.(imo)
As for which prison? In a more enlightened society such a question would never arise.
