Beyond Galactic Marshal - Chapter 1

Beyond Galactic Marshal
by
Hilltopper

CHAPTER 1

Well, we have been on Prowhiness for almost a month now. Mary, my wife, and I are staying at the resort with my sister Karen. It seems that the promised housing at the relic site has not yet materialized. As a matter of fact, neither has the gate. Tinker and Bell have gone back to their home planet. In the mean time, we are basically twiddling our thumbs. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Jonnie Harper; former male galactic marshal and now female I don’t know what. OK, it’s a long story and involves aliens, a device that will only operate by me as a female, and a bit of time travel. For those interested in more, read “Galactic Marshal”. Anyway, I’m stuck female because of the aliens and, believe it or not, I’m supposedly working for said aliens. At least, that was the plan. But, like I said, I’ve been here with nothing to do. I looked up as Mary walked in holding Raylan, our son.

The further misadventures of a transsexual paper girl

I finally figured out my life, I have all the answers, its so simple that it was easily overlooked and I could just shoot myself for not realizing it early. Unbeknownst to me, I am starring in my own sitcom. Of course I don't hear the laugh track or the theme music because I live this sitcom pre-edit (and with as much as I am cursing lately, it certainly needs to be edited unless I am airing on HBO or Comedy Central). This has to be the truth, because nothing else can possible explain the bizarre, asinine situations I find myself in.

Anger

Last night, my daughter couldn't find the little communication book she's supposed to bring home from school, but didnt admit it until we were picking up her mother. Her mother was upset, and I promised to check at my house, and I thought it was over with.

Then this morning, her mother called and started yelling at my mother for Sam not having the book, and then my mom started coming down on me for not being responsible and involved with my daughter, and I ended up getting angry myself, yelled at Sam's mother, and went back to bed.

Life's a bitch and then you cry.

Life is what happens in between making plans and actualising them. Families are collections of random lunatics the universe throws together because they share some genetic material, friends are people we like.

My daughter got married last week, she went with her partner to New York and they got spliced in Central park. I've seen some photos and it looked really nice. It also means I've not seen either of my children get married. They did it for all sorts of reasons, the trip to New York, but part of it, rightly or wrongly, I suspect is to avoid having to explain me.

Gaby Book 8 Chapter *37* Bern's Visit

Chapter *8.37*

Bern's Visit

“Rose, visitors.”

I'd been expecting the call, looking forward all week to today my first visit by my folks since my incarceration. I followed the warder out of the lounge and down the corridor to the visitors lounge.

“In you go Rose.”

“Er thank you.”

I wasn't the first inmate in the room; several others were already with their visitors.

Heart attack.

On August 26, I suffered a heart attack, which I did not recognize as one as it had none of signs. Just a stiffness in the chest which I thought was part of the bronchitis I thought I had. I called the EMT on the 30 because of shortness of breath. I was sitting in the ER waiting to them to discharge me when the doctor came and told me they thought I had a heart attack. The next week they took all kinds of tests, found that the valves were good, most of it was viable the only area was the small area in the middle bottom of the heart which was gone.

Karin Bishop interview finally posted!

Last week I posted that "Bending the Bookshelf" (http://bibrary.blogspot.com) would feature an interview of sorts, a "Guest Post", culled from some correspondence back and forth between the editors and myself. It has appeared today, Wednesday the 19th. It's a compilation of some Q&A from my emails and is followed by a brief listing of my current books, with little explanations. Some of them should be familiar to BCTS readers. I only hope that I don't sound like an egotistical goof or pompous windbag–or no more than usual!

Abuse - Leaving - Escape - Xanadu = Love - Exhilaration - Xylem - Imbue
or Alex = Lexi
by Jennifer Sue

Background:

Alex Dennis liked school, which was quite unusual for an 11 year old junior jock. Most of his classmates were at least slightly jealous, the girls for his intelligence and thick shoulder length red hair, the boys for his athletic prowess. Another unusual aspect was that none of his classmates disliked him since he never strutted about lording over the less physically and mentally adept. In fact, Alex was more than willing to help classmates when they were having difficulty with academics or sports.

Saw this news story go by, and was appalled! It's been years since I've seen judicial rulings this ignorantly anti-trans. And the coverage isn't particularly enlightened, eihter. I really hoped we were beyond this, now, but apparently not. And seriously, why is a civil judge citing the bible (badly) for his rationale? Remind me to stay far away from that part of the country.

Shift Happens Part 2 More Please

It would seam that a mischievous Crow spirit named Murphy has had a bit of fun at my expense. I had just put the finishing touches to Part 2 last night and was going to send it off for editing this morning. When I got ready I installed my SD chip and received the message the chip had died taking the story with it.

So there will be a short delay while I reconstruct my original work from my copious notes including an Idea I had a SB napkin to write it on.

Sorry things will get better.

Through the years: Two against the world part 23

Tracy smiled. “So I can do it?”

“Yes. Let's start now. Also we're thinking of taking you out to a nice dinner tonight, okay? For Valentine’s Day.”

“Okay. That was what Uncle Frank was talking about?”

“Yes, it was. So a nice dress for dinner if you want, or a good skirt and blouse, nothing too fancy, just a nice one will do.”

I may be a bit slow next few days

I picked up a new game last night, Borderlands 2, and I may be a bit preoccupied as I get into playing it. I got a lot of Through the years ready, just need to tweak things here and there plus work on a big plot event and make sure I don't mess up dates. But there will be more coming soon, I promise.

Now to go get my Mecromancer leveled up and if that idea fails, the Siren.

A weird thing happened at the store yesterday O.o

A little back ground on me first, those of you that read my blog regularly know I am about 5'8" and about 230 pounds. I am working on the weight thing. I am Hispanic and since I was twelve have had facial hair and I mean ab lot like a five o'clock shadow at eleven in the morning, not a trait I am proud of and one I wish I didn't have. Nobody other than my friend FO knows about me and I present as very male, you could find a B2 bomber on radar before you figure me out. It comes from years of hiding in plain sight.

Return of the ...

Well, hopefully. I've been working lots most of the Summer, and what time not at work I've been too tired to do anything even with friends... let alone write. Things are calming down, so I'm gonna try to pull things back out and finish the old and put out the new.

Documentary found by chance

I have had a few bad days, with some nastiness from colleagues based largely on being different. For the first time in years, I threw a 'sickie', calling in sick when I wasn't. I should add that my sick record is now three days off in seven years. Not bad, so I feel no guilt. The pressure that drove me was mainly having to deal with men who are Real Men, and want their way all of the time. Apparently, their penises are extremely large.

editor wanted

I am thinking of adding a few more stories to my e-book collection. I would like to be prolific. I know Wren has already proofed and edited Growing Up Jenny. I will probably add that to the e-books in November. By the way, I could use cover art for that one, if anyone is really interested in doing professional quality graphics.

So... Here is my plan for the next e-books and editors needed for each, in the order I would like to release them.

My plan backfired

Sometimes, I get ideas in my head and I say to myself, I say "Keith," Keith is the name I was given at birth and the one I generally go by outside of online (otherwise known as real life), "this is brilliant and sure to work. Your problems will be solved and you can go on to whatever next big thing is on the horizon."

So, a few months ago, I hatched a plan. I saw how it was suppose to play out, and, like most things, I planned to see it through.
