So I thought I'd give an update because SOME members of BCTS are in NJ and were in the path of Hurricane/super storm Sandy at the end of October. Personally, although portions of the town are devastated/condemned (the sub shop that has been where it is for over 40 years as well as the fishery are either gone or condemned), had major property damage, or will be without power for a while (probably the next town over).
Well I had it happen again. My second editor, Loki, the one who thoroughly understood the Whately Academy and Bleach universes has told me that due to IRL issues, he can no longer be my editor. The irony is he was exactly the editor I needed. So I ask for a third editor hoping that I get it this time. I need someone who isn't going to write off parts of the story I make as 'silly, goofy, and ridiculous' but who is going to see them as part of the universe. I also need a editor who is at least up to date with the Bleach dub (ep 257) or is beyond it.
Earlier today I got notification from the editor who I've been working with (partially successfully)to edit my story 'Down the Rabbit Hole' that she no longer wanted to be the editor because we reached an impasse-she didn't understand the universe I was writing for and was saying stuff I had written was inane. Sadly, that kind of editor is the kind I need. Also what is sad is that after over 2 months we were still editing part 1 of a 5 part story. For those waiting for the next part, I have it written (and up thru the end of that story) but they are in a 'rough draft' kind of phase.
Hi there my name is Dan (hi, Dan!) and I wanted to share a few comments about my story 'down the rabbit hole' as well as a few personal points. The initial premise came to me about two years ago with a dream that ended in me falling through a portal into a park. I didn't see any further in that dream because I woke up right afterward.
