Earlier today I got notification from the editor who I've been working with (partially successfully)to edit my story 'Down the Rabbit Hole' that she no longer wanted to be the editor because we reached an impasse-she didn't understand the universe I was writing for and was saying stuff I had written was inane. Sadly, that kind of editor is the kind I need. Also what is sad is that after over 2 months we were still editing part 1 of a 5 part story. For those waiting for the next part, I have it written (and up thru the end of that story) but they are in a 'rough draft' kind of phase.
What I need in a NEW editor is for them to understand the Whateley Academy universe. I would also appreciate it if they understood about the Bleach anime universe. I have added almost 4,000 words to the story and had to change parts of it because my editor did not understand the Whateley Academy universe. The editor who broke ties with me really liked editing my non-TG story however.
On the other stuff comments, anyone know of any psychologists / psychiatrists that specialize in TG, Aspirers, ADHD, depression, and general anxiety disorder that are in NJ and (if possible) are listed on the BCBSNJ website? I looked there first and there is NOTHING to filter by subspecialties so I can't tell what the ones listed specialize in. A Whateley/Bleach combo? now THAT sounds interesting. However it definatly can't be Canon, as both have different After lives. After-all most of Bleach takes place in the spirit world.

The bleach universe is the one I refer to in part one as already having merged. The closest I would come to the Soul Society is an adoption and rescuing a certain someone from another certain someone.
100% not canon for sure because this is a parallel universe. The revised Part 1 tries to go into detail but the end pages were never revised. I will use characters from Bleach and abilities too. The main factor in it NOT being Bleach canon is that Rukia and Ichigo both die and their swords switch masters to my main character.

While I'm working on becoming quite familiar with Whateley Academy, in anticipation of my own fan fiction, I have never seen an episode of Bleach, nor read any of the manga. Unusual, because I enjoy Anime. If I can help gimma a pm, but I might have issues.

I can recommend one or more therapists in New Jersey, if you want to send a PM. One problem you'll run into is that the vast majority that specialize in TG do NOT participate in any insurance (as most insurance plans don't cover trans care). So you'd have to pay up front, and then submit for reimbursement. That said, they tend to code things so that they're likely to be covered - as long as possible.
Finding one who has specialties in ALL of those areas may be tough... So you may need to decide which is most important and work that way.

...this website might help; the key is to first find the therapists in your area and then determine if they take insurance. My therapist is out of network but thru Magellan BC/BS is paying 80% less the up-front deductable. And of course, some work on a sliding scale as far as compensation. It's such an anxious process to start with since it's so hard to find someone who can help that understands all the nuances and challenges we face, but it can be done. I wish you well!
