A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
Life has some certainties, birth and death of course, but the rest is a mix of Minestrone and Spaghetti, some of which we have no direct influence over. We can however decide whether we want Parmesan or other seasoning, we can give Gnochi a try, doesn't mean we'll like it but at least we'll know. Gaby has reached just such a point in her life, she knows she likes Pizza, she's not averse to Spaghetti or Lasagne but is Gnochi for her? The Gnochi in this case is doing the singing with BlauHase on a more serious level, as a 'hobby' its fine but could this be a change of career? Well you don't find out without trying so that's just what our heroine is about to find out in this, the 27th book of the Gaby saga.
Against his better judgement, a man gives his wife a very feminine piece
of lingerie for their anniversary. She does not appreciate the gesture and makes
an offer that he takes her up on.
The next story I'm going to share with you was told to me by Junior Scoutmaster Emma Jeanette Pierce. I'm also going to confess I went a little overboard with the name of the story. I don't apologize for it at all though, mostly because it conjures up perfectly the vibe I want to capture with these stories.
The Ghostly Dancer at the Annual Cotillion Ball

Authors Warning: this story has heavy religious theme to it.
In the vast reaches of the universe exists a plain that humans cannot ever reach. there is an area that exists only for the immortals and only they can exist in. In that realm, the mighty god Hashem Eloheam had decided that the final test of humanity will take place. This test would decide whether humanity deserved to survive or parish and it would be their choice. He decided to send unto humanity a young child that desperately needed love and kindness. The child would be helpless in his first 13 years. The child could forefill the greatest prophesies and bring about a new age of wisdom and love onto human kind, or he could be our worst nightmare and fulfill the end times prophecies so many books speak about. The child would be innocent and pure, but be different from other children. The choice would ours and our treatment of the child would determine our fate.
But perhaps, it was an unfair test given the long history of how we tend to treat those that are different.
Mrs. Cavendish adds, “I remember you. That is what you wore. You and your sister were there, she had on that harem girl costume. She looked cute but I’ll bet she was cold. My goodness, you must have been about ten then. How time flies.”
She nods her head and continues to reminisce as mother quietly tells me, “The cords are in the kitchen, in the broom closet.”
Stuck in town for the summer while his parents are away, Tommy Browder is going to stay with the aunt he never knew he had -- and learn the reason why.
For Frank, a truly good man, because the best gifts are the ones we make ourselves for the people we care about. Happy Birthday, hon. Hope it’s everything you thought it might be when you threw the idea my way and let me run with it.

Every geek’s fantasy is coming true. Superheroes, dragons, spaceships, giant robots, zombies, scantily clad French maids…they have all become real. It is miraculous that civilization has not plunged into total chaos.
What is causing this, and why?
Some nutcases think it is an alien invasion. Other nutcases think it is the beginning of the Apocalypse. Our three non-nutcase protagonists, however, just want to finish their college days in relative peace. Unfortunately, they are about to find themselves…
As Dolly chugged up the hill to the hospital, I wondered once again why Candice called me to help her Brian. I wasn’t an expert, I just wanted to be a girl–end of expertise...
“Certainly. Very few Americans in Saigon speak more than one, maybe two other languages and most of our agents are known or suspected by the other side so as they walk past the discussions change until they are gone again. The only reason I was able to hear them is they don’t think a woman is smart enough to know other languages nor to be a good intelligence conduit. During the one Embassy function I heard no less than four conversations regarding supplies being brought into South Vietnam from North Vietnam or Cambodia. About the only other thing I learned during the gala was to be careful of the French.”
This story was written for the 2009 Gabycon and involves Gaby (Drew) Bond, a velodrome and some bike races - oh and some dresses, shoes and so on. Oh just read the thing it's easier. Important: No bicycles were hurt during the making of this story. - Angharad

"A better question, young lady, might be what are you doing in my son's apartment?"
With my mouth gaping wide, my brain seemed frozen, only able to focus on the minutia of the cataclysm about to unfold. I couldn't believe that he didn't recognize me. Apparently he didn't realize I was Sam.
I looked at her, now becoming very suspicious. Why the hell would they want me? Could she be sent by the Germans? But there it was, three passports, all real, staring on me at my table. I decided to play along for the time being and see what more surprises she had for me.
“Passports, I don’t need no stinking passports dear.” I said. “I can stay here as long as I want.” Smiling.
“No, you can’t.” She said. “The wehrmacht knows who you are now. They are going to get you exchanged.”
I don't know about you, but sometimes things just don't work out for me :)
So I'm stopping my writing now and then, not that I haven't ideas, just that another one sucks me in.
And I was really, really planning to write on those other stories I have, not here. But then this dumb muse knocked on the door again and my two braincells started to fight.
And yeah, the left one won.
So I wrote this one yesterday.
But this is only a test. So you tell me?
Should I do something with it?
(If I do it won't come along quickly, I already have too many to 'do')
But it smells delicious to my, ah, refined (?) taste :)
“I’m glad you did, Mom. It was fun and I never told you but I really didn’t want to be a boy again. But, then again, I did. It’s different when I know I may change back. Now I don’t have a choice. Once the surgery is completed then I’m stuck, so what you see is what you get. Of course that’s not a bad thing. I just want a family. If I can’t mate with a woman and have one then I want to be able to mate with my husband and have one. I don’t think I will be able to do that and that’s what scares me. If I could be completely female and be able to have babies I think it would be so great. At least I’ll look completely female, even in X-rays. Anyway, here’s your second daughter.”
Good grief, I was thinking out loud as I looked at myself. Cat was by my side telling me I looked good, I was thinking this joke had gone a good bit further and far deeper than I expected.
Author Note:This story deals with strong themes such as sexual abuse on a child. It is told from a selfish sister. and whatit took to finially move to protect her little brother at great risk to herself.
Aunt Julie smiles at me and reaches out, placing her hand against my cheek for a few seconds as if considering something.
She nods her head, “I’m glad you were along, Lucy. It’s nice to have you finally taking an interest.”
She is halfway to the door before she realizes what she has said. Turning, she cocks her head and raises an eyebrow, giving me a momentary stare before continuing on out through the door of my room.
I think she forgot who I am for a moment and was thinking I really am her niece.
The continuing adventures of Doug Gordon, Queen of Ka'an. (Ka'an in Mayan means Heaven.) Ka'an is actually an alien world populated by women... and a man-eating plant. Well, it is actually male-eating plants that spit out females. Doug and his wives fixed everything, but now Doug must remake a planet... and it seems Ka'an will be remade in his image!
As the girls of the former Hanks Gang serve their 60 days at the Eerie Saloon, they begin to adjust to their new bodies and make new lives. This being the Old West, there's also a shootout, poker games, and a kidnapping.
Wilma, Jessie and Bridget have new opportunities but old ways of thinking, especially thinking of themselves as men, are hard to break. It's all a question of learning the new rules for how to live as women.
This is the same story that's been in the Hatbox for some time, now released with new editing and a new cover on Amazon. The story of Jake and Cody, friends--and Freds--for a lifetime. See story for joke about the Freds.
