Twelve-year-old Stephanie Brooks used to be an eleven-year-old boy who didn’t mind his parents. When they punished him for peeking at his Christmas presents by making him dress in girls’ clothes, she became more comfortable with herself and turned into a responsible, considerate girl with a much sunnier disposition. In this episode, Stephanie starts attending her new school, a liberal institution with an unorthodox approach that just might be what our girl needs. As we begin, it is Monday, February 4, 2008.

Ryan pried open his heavy lids. His vision was blurred as he tried to focus his sight. Blinking several times and rubbing his eyes, he found his surroundings slowly come into sharpness. Oh, it felt like he had been hit by a truck. His whole body ached. His thoughts were a little confused as he tried to think about what had happened to him to cause such soreness. Suddenly it snapped! His first fever had hit...he quickly sat up and surveyed his body. Oh crap! He wasn't ready for this.

A Prayer Request

I would covet your prayers. After four years of fighting to save it, I will be losing my left foot sometime in the next month. I've done all I can do. I've lost about 100 pounds and have had over 16 surgeries. My doctors have all been excellent, and I bear none of them ill will.

I am transgendered. I am in transition.

I am scared and brokenhearted at what's going to be happening.

Feels Strange   The first indication something is wrong comes when I hear someone stumble over some shoes I left out just for that purpose.

“Laurie?” I enquire as, groggily, I try to sit up.

“Not quite,” a gruff male voice responds quietly, as I become aware of an aromatic cloth clapped over my mouth and nose. I begin to struggle and bite but I’m pinned to my bed and my world quickly turns black.

My last thought before passing out is: Where’s the FBI––?

Feeling Depressed

I'm feeling pretty depressed right now. My 88 year old grandmother is dying up in New Hampshire and I won't get to see her again before she passes. My mother, brother, sister-in-law and my 4 year old nephew left this morning to go see her. She accepted me with open arms when I came out as her fifth granddaughter and even gave me two very steamy Romance novels my first Christmas as Jennifer. My mom's side of the family has really been like night and day in the way they have accepted me as compared to my dad's side. I guess it really has to do with the North/South attitudes toward tolerance.

Argh! I need a new font :-/

Hey all,

I've fully transitioned over to the new PC now, but there's only one problem. It doesn't have Lucida Calligraphy!

This is surprising because, according to my research it was the most popular calligraphy font for web use.

So, I'm opening the floor to suggestions for a new Calligraphy font for my Becoming Robin and Aria Blade headers.

I haven't delved OpenOffice to see what I do have available yet, but that's my next step. I wanted to throw this out there first though in case someone more technically-minded might have a reccomendation.

A very special day

This has been a very special and important day for me. While my gf and I have discussed my interest in exploring the other side of the gender equation, not much has come of it. I finally confessed today that I was occasionally tired of being a guy. This led to an in depth conversation, and ended with us spending a few hours shopping for clothes for my "alter ego".

If you are so inclinded, Please remember me in prayer

Some of you know, I damaged my ankles playing football, in a vain attempt to please my father. It took years to manifest it'self, but in the past 4 years I've had 16 operations trying to salvage the ankle, so it would work.

It's been 6 monrhs since it became abundantly clear I would lose the leg to just below the knee. Doctors, insurance companies, etc. have had me hanging and waiting

I'm sorry, but I just don't get it

As an author I like to see how many reads a story is getting, call it vanity or something else, but it's important to me and I'm sure to other authors. Now to the point, I see abisimal stories that don't make sense but have all the buzz words, heels, breasts, hormones, implants, the operation and they get reads like crazy. Then you have an absolutely wonderful story that doesn't fall under those precious words left to dangle in the wind. Nancy Cole's While the Band Played Waltzing Matilda is a good example.

This is a new occasional series that takes its basis and some of its storyline from the cancelled Tokyopop Manga, Yubisaki Milk Tea by Tomochika Miyano. It’s a great series and well worth looking out, it’s a mystery why they cancelled it. For my version I’ve changed the setting from Japan to England and of course the names, then I’ve added some new characters and situations to produce Jamie and the Peach. The original series was cancelled before completion but I intend to take my version somewhat further!

Lessons Learned

Thank heavens this site has never slid into the pit that some other sites, TG and otherwise have slid into. Still, once in a while, I have felt that the sex act between consenting lovers was an important part of the story. Not being particularly good at delicate descriptions that let every reader know exactly what was going on in exquisit, emotion filled detail without being somewhat graphic, I fell into the latter category. What I have determined, looking at the numbers, is that two lovers consumating their relationship is a turn-off for many readers.
