That would be me. I introduced it at the beginning of Out of the Ashes Part 2, and it will show up briefly in Part 6 (not yet published, currently at 8000 out of a projected 5000 words) but haven't done a lot with it, although I had some vague plans for down the road. My personal intention was to keep it as a big shadowy background entity that can provide motivations and plotlines for villains, without defining it overmuch.

I've also discussed it with another author, but nothing set in stone. If you're planning something, drop me a PM and I'm sure we can coordinate.
