I wrote this in response to a comment about nasty dads. I've included quite a few of them in recent writings - Seven Dresses, Candy Crush etc - and I'm not sure I can justify it, apart from a mentioning the general impression I have that rigid attitudes and unbending beliefs are more of a masculine trait than a feminine one. I realise this isn't true in all cases, so I wrote a story with a father who's more supportive than the mother, although she doesn't do too badly. Of course that dad's a bit trans, so not a typical male.

The first time mom put lipstick on me when she was tucking me in, up until then she was having me kiss my Barbie doll good night, after she kissed me good night on my cheek or forehead.

That night she said sweetie look in your purse which I usually kept on my bed at night with my Barbie doll, grabbing my purse unsnapping the clasp looking inside and there was a new lipstick tube before my very eyes, I was so excited just looking at that wonderful item of girlhood.

“So Joe was upset, and wanted my advice about what to do. I didn’t know any more about LGBT people than he did, at the time, and I didn’t give him the same advice I would now, but I hope I did sort of okay given what I knew then.

My nephew was 4 and I was 7 it’s been about 2 years now since mom and I started down my girlhood journey, I know I’m jumping ahead a little but I’ll get back to the beginning after this little side adventure.

Mom loved me and my girlhood telling me years later she did it for me seeing how I loved girl things and my girl feelings she wanted to help me also admitting she enjoyed it too, even loved having two daughters at home, I think my sister being a jock and not really being very girly had mom really enjoying my feminine side but anyway.

A tired academy student returns home to recharge with her favorite person: her clingy little brother who also happens to love crossdressing!

“But I can’t wear that! My father would be scandalized.” I heard a snigger from behind me and shot Selene, our ‘other’ make-up person, a sneer.

A swirl of leaves spun infinitely around Ben as she frolicked through the trees. With every step she passed by hordes of flowers and wondrous, lifelike plants. She felt them along with the grass below her with her bare feet. Her entire body was bare, for that matter. She figured it brought her closer to the bare Earth.

A group of friends streams their gaming on Wednesday nights. But not all the action is on the dining room table.

I just wanted to say two things.

[just before Christmas]

I’d gone into town to collect Kelly from work. Even though she was serving out her notice, the job had to go on and her patrol SUV was in the shop for another new water pump, the second this year. When I arrived at the office, she was just finishing up some paperwork, so I switched the Station TV to the Weather Channel.

“Hey, Jacqueline. Something happened to me during the mission today. I don’t know what it is, but it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

While in the Forbidden Cave I was transformed into a woman. I’m not sure how or why it happened, but it did. I was cleared of having any serious curses or corruption, but for some reason I can not change back. Apparently my soul is ‘rejecting’ the magic, and leaving me stuck like this.

Yeah, I don’t get it either.

I’d originally been going to title it “Venn-Splitting for Long-Distance Relationships,” but Sophia had come up with a snappier title, “Splitting for Togetherness.”
