With all other members of the family missing, believed killed, Carl and his mother have little time left together. On the urgings of his mother, he assumes the appearance of a girl in a vain attempt to remain with her.

Events conspire against a successful young woman with a dark painful past. She is forced to confront her frightening past that she has been running away from her whole adult life.

This chapter is a complete re-write of the old chapter 15 and it explores new developments in Skipper's life. From here on there are new chapters that take the story beyond what is posted on Fictionmania.

We woke the following morning and I made it to the shower first. I was determined, again, to be male and to make love as a male …….with Ginger taking the female role. We had made love that way for the first time last night. We had made love "as two girls" as well — but with one having a cock. And we had loved every minute.

Life was getting very interesting, I had a boyfriend, a supportive mother and a desire to be a girl, but a caution about giving up my birth gender.

Life through the rest of the year was pretty much one of, Jens for college, Jenny for most of the other times. After our heart to heart after the halloween dance mum offered to treat me to a hairstyling that would allow me to switch easily between genders, so when I came home I would only need to change and add light make up to feel right. They also took away the black and dyed my hair a more natural light brown.

They return from their day at the beach. A day that might have been a bit more emotional than either Cindy or Donna expected. Randi continues to amaze everyone with her advanced talents. The Wizard tells Cindy that Andy and Donna need to know about him and their magical abilities. The Wizard also gives the impression that Donna is very important. Cindy and Maddy give rather impressive demonstrations of their powers.

The squad car speeds through the downtown canyons, red and blue lights reflecting garishly from the polished steel and brass facades of the office towers. Since first reading the stories about Hayfield Hall, questions have been there about where the staff came from, how they are selected, and other similar points. One example is Dr. Rachel Ruiz. We know she was NOT staff at the school in 2004 and that Kate Mayhew held her position, but by the beginning of A New Style of Education, Dr. Ruiz was established. This interlude doesn't describe how that came to pass, but it does address some of the questions, at least in part. Originally written half in jest, this interlude is included for those readers that may have also had some of these questions.
