A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
Life has some certainties, birth and death of course, but the rest is a mix of Minestrone and Spaghetti, some of which we have no direct influence over. We can however decide whether we want Parmesan or other seasoning, we can give Gnochi a try, doesn't mean we'll like it but at least we'll know. Gaby has reached just such a point in her life, she knows she likes Pizza, she's not averse to Spaghetti or Lasagne but is Gnochi for her? The Gnochi in this case is doing the singing with BlauHase on a more serious level, as a 'hobby' its fine but could this be a change of career? Well you don't find out without trying so that's just what our heroine is about to find out in this, the 27th book of the Gaby saga.
Against his better judgement, a man gives his wife a very feminine piece
of lingerie for their anniversary. She does not appreciate the gesture and makes
an offer that he takes her up on.
The next story I'm going to share with you was told to me by Junior Scoutmaster Emma Jeanette Pierce. I'm also going to confess I went a little overboard with the name of the story. I don't apologize for it at all though, mostly because it conjures up perfectly the vibe I want to capture with these stories.
The Ghostly Dancer at the Annual Cotillion Ball
Told By
Emma Jeanette Pierce
Who hasn’t had a bad day? But Capt. Wainright’s rapidly went downhill after answering a distress call only to wake up from suspended animation in the wrong body—that of a 15 year old girl! His ship now overrun by heavily armed troops, he (or she), will just have to soldier on—it’s going to get worse before it gets better!
There was nothing my dad could have done, it happened so suddenly. He slammed on the brakes and he tried to swerve, but it didn't help. We still slammed into the rock at 30 mph.
This story is a tribute to T. D. Aldoennetti. It's also self-indulgent therapy. I'm sorry but I need to get it out of my system. I'm really broken up about Teddi's death.
I don't expect any votes or comments, but I'm leaving the story open to comments just in case the rare mood strikes.

Confession Redux
by Andrea Lena DiMaggio
That I feel myself surrender
Each time I see your face.
I am staggered by your beauty,
Your unassuming grace.
And I feel my heart is turning,
Falling into place.
I can't hide
Now hear my confession.
The exercise in creating a back story for 'Samantha' was a real stretch for her creative abilities. Most things she grew up with could be tweaked to a girl's perspective, but some things just couldn't. Writing birthday parties she wore a dress to instead of pants and t-shirt she had been in was an interesting exercise in fantasy.
The journal of Samantha's life became something of an obsession. She found herself thinking about scenes from her life as a girl, skinned knees, climbing through drainage pipes as though they were a super-secret tunnel with friends, and all the other normal activities of a child. The thoughts constantly revolved in her mind, no matter where she was or what she was doing. She kept finding her mind drifting to real memories and more and more found it easy to see the same scene as a girl. She even invented tea parties and dance classes that she never attended.
"Right," I said when Mom released the hug and looked back at me, worry in her eyes. "Well, he thinks I'm a girl."
"Is that what you want?" she asked me. Frustrated, I sighed. My mom had asked me that question way too often. Moms weren't supposed to ask their sons if they wanted to be girls, right?
Christmas Reunion
By Stanman63 Thanks To JennaFL For ProofingAnd Nora-Adrienne For Editing! Synopsis:Sasha Frances Morgan has found happiness at last. She has finally transitioned into Sasha Francis Morgan, and has had the surgery to make her complete.
But she has been estranged from her family due to her Papa Joe: patriarch of the family. He declared Sasha as an abomination when he learned of her choice, casting her out of the family.
Now, after years of being ostracized, her family finally calls her and shares news that ends her exile.
Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You’ve come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
"In fact," he continued, pulling something out of his top drawer. "I'd like to offer you the chance to make a demo CD. You've got the type of voice that we're looking for."
I was completely shocked now! I wasn't good enough for a recording contract! Why would he be offering me one? And, and, he thought I was a girl! That could definitely be a problem!
Well it is the night before Initiation and there is just one challenge left for the Pledge class to face.
Was this going to be the one step too far for Caitlin?
This is the next draft, ah part? Portion, potion, whatever. And if you find some stuff ‘diffuse’ I won’t argue, I’m winging it as I write, I can’t check it up (no internet) ´. Otherwise I would give you a more technical description. Read it anyway, you will make someone happy, namely me :)
Sometimes when Supe was stopping crimes
I'll bet that he was tempted to just quit and turn his back
On man, join Tarzan in the forest
But he stayed in the city, and kept on changing clothes
In dirty old phonebooths till his work was through
And nothing to do but go on home
Sibling rivalry is a powerful thing. Sixteen years of his twin sister receiving obviously superior presents sends a boy into an unusual battle of wills with his father. How far is he willing to go to prove a point? (This one runs a little longer than the challenge guidelines wanted.)
Gabe looked at the floor. His inability to lie smacked him in the face again! "Part of me is curious what it'd be like to wear cute skirts like yours," he replied softly. "But I don't want to be a girl."
"You won't have to become a girl," Buffy answered as she put a comforting hand on his trembling arm. "But you could pretend to be a girl to round out the Scooby Gang. We'll call you Gabi, and I know the guys won't hassle you about it. Neither will the grups, they're cool with just about anything.
Another great sports story from Angela Rasch on Kindle from DopplerPress!
Orphaned, Angel has to move to live with his uncle. Even though a standout athlete in Illinois, he's having trouble finding a place to fit in Pecos. Angel played soccer back in the Midwest, but that isn’t even an option in this gridiron-crazed, West Texas town. He gets a job in a Dairy Queen, but it seems mostly due to a misunderstanding and his life goes off in a new direction....
