A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.

Later, an invitation to a party leads her to face unexpected choices, ultimately leaving her with lessons about freedom, boundaries, and the weight of responsibility.
Steve is married to Dee Lilah, who is running for the U.S. Senate. The League of Women’s Voters has scheduled a beauty contest for the candidates' spouses. Ironically, the League hadn’t anticipated a female candidate and had made the rules quite stringent in regards to what the spouse must wear and do.
This one gets a bit preachy. If this offends you, I apologize. What can I say? It’s how I feel.
Four girls, sitting on a bench eating ice cream, would seem to be no big deal; No one paid them any real attention, with the exception of a few teenage boys, who may have appreciated the four pretty girls all in one place. It was just something you would expect to see in many American middle size towns, and it pleased one of those girls to no end that she could do this.
“Get out of bed, boy! That yard ain’t gonna mow itself! Move it!”
I sat straight up in bed, wanting to yell out. My dad, ex Gunnery Sergeant Patrick “Mac” McCoy was really good at jarring me from sleep. He lived to do it to his Marine recruits, and nothing was different at home.
“Okay, Dad. I’m up. I’m up.” It was 6:30 AM. Who mowed the lawn at 6:30 in the freakin’AM?
I spent the entire night asleep. Mom’s lap was just what I needed. Fighting and killing all those people was way too much for my little mind and body to get around. Imagine my surprise when I woke up in my own bed. Looking at my clock, I found I had been out for sixteen hours. Someone had taken me home and I never stirred.
“Good morning, Elizabeth Braddock!” It was Kyoko.
Steven Brown has a rough time, wanting to be a girl and hiding it from his angry abusive father. But when Steven gets a chance to express his hidden side through a fantastic opportunity, things change, including himself.
Chloe, Chapter 2
It had been a few weeks since her nephew dressed up.
She decided not to press the issue, but she wondered what was going on in his head.
He still played with dolls. He seemed to enjoy Caroline's American Dolls the best, and still mothered Janice Libby.
She enjoyed the story time they had before bed. Despite her sister's many problems, Karen was amazed at her nephew's intelligence and his natural ability with music. She taught him a few simple songs on the piano and he gradually worked his way up to more complicated songs.
As our plane touched down at HongQiao airport in Shanghai I looked out of the window. It was early May and the weather was grey and miserable and visibility was poor. I remember thinking ‘A typical grey day in UK’. It put me in mind of the mists and fogs we used to encounter years ago in UK.
Between One Step and the Next, Part 3 Here is part 3, everybody. I'm hoping it hasn't been so long you guys cant remember what's gone on before ...
“I’m sorry Sam. You know how that sounds.”

Chapter 53. Pizza chat
I wondered what the doctor had said that could have enabled her to be so forgiving of Judith and dad. Mum went quiet and it seemed an age before she continued.
‘He told us that he’d fought hard to save both of you and both of you were slipping away. Then he thought he’d lost you so he switched his effort and then her heart failed. As he dropped his head one of the nurses said she noticed you move again so they managed to recover you. It was as if you’d come back to life.’

About:
"There's something you need to know about Emily..."
In the year 2404, America is no more. In a land ruled by the oppressive theocracy known as the Dominion of Divinity, being gay is a capital offense, adultery is punished with the lash, women are forbidden to work, and forced marriages are common.
Fifteen-year-old Emily La Rouche faces an impossible choice. On her sixteenth birthday, she will be forced to marry Jonathan Marsh, the son of her landlord. If she refuses, her family will lose everything. If she takes his hand, it is certain that her life will end by a hangman's noose in front of an angry mob. All because Emily has been hiding an enormous secret for years-she was born a boy. As the wedding approaches, Emily's parents realize the only way that she will be safe is if she is to escape the Dominion.
With her brother Aaron at her side, Emily flees across post-apocalyptic America in search for a new home. With vile bounty hunters on her trail, only time will tell if Emily will ever find a place where she can live and breathe free as the person she was always meant to be.
My boyfriend was perfect for my college thesis final. He already enjoyed wearing panties 24/7 and nightgowns every night. I think he secretly wants to be a woman, but he never admitted that.
So here are the people in my story…
Me, Cathy, the girlfriend doing my college thesis
My boyfriend of several years - Terry
Sue, my lesbian “friend”. Sue lives across the hall in our apartment complex.

“Nick!” Izzy yelled sharply as a rock half the size of the car hit the pavement behind us.
More rocks of varying sizes crashed around us as I fought to escape the cascade. Screeching tires wailed in my ears as the smell of burning rubber filled my nostrils. Finally we burst clear then the car shuddered as if a giant had hit it. Metal screamed as granite smashed into Isobel’s side of the Mustang, pushing us towards the far side of the road and the steep, tree strewn cliff below. I had just enough time to grab Izzy’s hand before we plunged over the side, and into the abyss below.
As usual, Robin, Tina and Jenny waited to walk Andrew to school. No one made a big deal about it, but each girl carried in her heart the memory of the promise they had made to Mr. Gabriel, that they would protect Andrew.
Besides, it was fun! Andrew was very smart and funny, and a great friend. Walking together was a treat, not a chore. It just brought the four of them closer together.
Before I begin to tell the story of my time in Los Angeles I thought I should tell you something of my early life.
I was born march 12, 1947 in Queens, New York City. I arrived in this life at 8:38 PM. My parents were joh and Ruth; both veterans of WW II. My father was a NYC police officer. My mother was a housewife.
The new kid is a genius. At thirteen, starting the ninth grade, he just wants to fit in. His Air Force dad moved the family to Alaska and it's a whole new life.
Maybe in a new life he can be his real self, a girl who decides to call herself Marcia to make it more different from her old name.
A new life means new friends, new challenges. Like dealing with bullies and boys who think she's pretty. There is drama—a death in the family, danger in her father's job as a pilot, romantic complications—can Marcia deal with all the changes?
