Your ability to take an existing rhyme scheme and turn it into something else that is so meainingful amazes me. I think you and W. S. Gilbert have a lot in common. I know what you mean as the poem unfolds, we have diversified transgender into all sorts of different acronyms, but no mattter what the acronym hate is still hate.
I am out of the work force and yet I am involved with the VFW, combat Veterans Of Delaware and NAMI. None of them have put me aside because I now present as female. I am the sister in the combat Vets, I am the sister in the VFW and I am Miss Jill In NAMI.
Although places I go I get that look of disdain, but that's there problem not mine.
When someone is hurt that is part of our universe because of hate we need to demand justice.

'Drea says she used me as the 'voice' because she knows how much I love to sing. What made me giggle is that, though I honestly don't remember this, my parents both swear that I drove them crazy singing "Somewhere Out There" when I was a kid. :-) Imagine my surprise when we performed it as part of a homecoming half-time show one year - but I digress!
I'm so sorry for not commenting sooner. I've been on an emotional roller coaster with more twists and hairpin turns than an Ozark mountain backroad. But now that I have read it all I can say is "fantastic"! ^_^
