Someplace else at some other time...

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Captain America - Steve Rogers - assumes the daunting task of returning all six of the Infinity Stones to their time and place of origin to restore balance to the Universe. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, while things started just fine, his return takes an entirely different direction. I suppose that Dr. Strange and the Ancient One might have cautioned Steve, but oh well...

His hope had always been to seek out and reunite with Peggy Carter; the love of his life. Designs and fortunes can change; however well-intentioned and planned as they might be. So instead of Steve landing in a universe that embraced his plans, fate had other ideas.

You say you're from the future and you're really Steve Rogers? I don't think so!

You have to believe me... what can I do to prove to you that I'm me?

Gotta run, Sugar! Morgan La Fay is off the hook again so I'm gonna try to calm her down.. Maybe she can come over for coffee and Danish?
