Okay, I don't normally bitch about comments, but come on? I know I wrote Twins as a fluff piece, but it really is a nice story. I've had seven comments on part one and one on part two. So what you say? Well I've had almost a thousand hits on two and over two thousand on part one. If this was Assassin and you didn't buy it, well then that's your choice, but this is for free and the time Di Wonder and I spent editing the story should warrant at least a response. I didn't include writing the piece because that comes with the territory.

I created a separate facebook account for "Katie Leone". This one is where I post all my updates solely about my books. I did this for several reasons. One is to keep my fans and friends separate (a lot of people here are both, but I've gotten some people out of the blue find me and it's been interesting. Evidently the APA has me on their listserv). The other, I'm sure some friends get tired of posts about my books left and right.

that this weeks update is somewhat late - i'll put another up on Wednesday along with updating my site.

Somehow the BCcomputer got it wrong, Twins is an ongoing story to be posted in three parts due to length. The second and third parts deal with the hormone issue and the story is complete. When I recieve the edited parts back from my editor I'll post them.

My editor is doing a wondeful jod and want to thank Di Wonder for all the work she's doing with this story. She's a Brit so it makes the job that much harder for her. Thanks again Di, Arecee

Although I'm pleased to be able to help Erin in any way to support this site, I do have one complaint.

First of all I want to than everyone of my hard core fans for their continued support. I appreciate the PMs pointing out some editing omissions on my part. Editing is painful. I wish Holly was feeling better, and I really need her help. I think I will post the next to the last part later today, and the last part tomorrow or Sunday (which may be tomorrow for some of you). Concluding this on a weekend is better than dragging it into the beginning of next week.

John from that unpronounceable place in Wisconsin pointed out a historical error in Part 7 of Soaring With Eagles. I had omitted Theodore Roosevelt and his son as Medal of Honor recipients. That error has now been corrected. Thanks, John.

Well, I entered the BBC competition. No great hopes, but I got a reply today. My script hasn't been selected, but they have told me it reached the top 16% of entries. Now, there's a compliment!

If anyone happens to be in the Northern California region, come and see our production of a new musical theater adaptation of Francis Hodgson Burnett's "A Little Princess" at the Sacramento Theatre Company (in Sacramento, CA... if that weren't obvious). It's a wonderful story about never giving up on your dreams, about imagination and curiosity and understanding other people even if you don't agree with their choices. On top of that, it's a beautiful production with gorgeous music.

Just thought I'd drop in and let you know that health issues are still problematic. They are fading, but they are still there. And then there is the kidney stone I passed last night. So yeah... I have had a few distractions of late. I'm even running out of buffer in the Potter fic because of being unable to write for the last two weeks. Lots of fun going on here.

So, I'm still kicking, I am writing some, working on things never fear. And I hope you all are doing fine.

The question I have is after posting a story or part of one is it normal to feel 'depressed'?

Since the death and resurrection of BC, my stories have received more hits but fewer kudos. I accept the extra hits might be multiples by the same reader through continuing tech problems, but curious as to why my kudos rate is down unless of course fewer readers consider my efforts worthy of kudos button.

I've posted the first part, one of ten, of my latest novel, Soaring With Eagles. This is the last story of eight in the California Saga series. I find the title ironic, as the story seems to be going over like a lead balloon or a fart in a diving bell; there was not one kudo in the first 64 reads. Maybe the introduction could have been a bit more explanitory. As much as many want instant gratification, overnight transformations, misdiagnosed birth sex, etc., it ain't going to happen that way.

I think we may have lost a story in the database meltdown last night. We had made a backup of what was going on at one point yesterday and it seems to me that at least one story got posted after that backup which is what we just restored from. Please, I hope everyone is keeping copies of their stories before posting them and if your story posted and disappeared, you can just repost. I hope.

Some people who have seen my comments to story posts, and blogs would be aware I am not dead yet. Neither is Shift Happens. I have been working chiseling out the next installments, and trying to organize, just how to present and format the story, so it makes the most sense. The next portion is titled The Climb , and it was getting to big and cumbersome, to make one post, so it will be in three, A B C .
